Chapter 28

Kagome and Sango finally dressed themselves and found Inuyasha and Miroku. Inuyasha sat Indian-style muttering something under his breath. Miroku sat with a dreamy smile despite the extra lumps that could be seen on his head. Sango and Kagome glared at the boys as they walked up. Inuyasha heard them first and looked up to meet their glares with a glare of his own.

"What the hell was with all the hitting?" Inuyasha said angrily. "We were only trying to protect you guys. We heard you scream. What the hell do you think we were going to think!" Sango's and Kagome's expressions calmed a little. They exchanged a couple of glances. Kagome knelt next to Inuyasha.

"Sorry…we just thought that you were being perverted," she said sweetly.

"Feh! Not likely!" Inuyasha said turning his head away. Kagome sighed and looked up to see Sango fuming.

"What the hell is with that smile Miroku?!" she said angrily balling her fists at her side. Miroku sighed only to make Sango angrier. She stomped over to Miroku. "Wipe that smile off your face….before I wipe it off for you!"

"Okay," Miroku sighed. "You couldn't let me relish in the moment!"

*WHAM*

"Ow! What?" Miroku yelled. Sango's face was red with anger.

"I have no idea why I am with you…you PERVERT!" she screamed and then turned around and folded her arms in front of her chest. Inuyasha and Kagome stared at the angry couple. Kagome shook her head and then turned to look at Inuyasha.

"You need to take your bath Inuyasha," Kagome said. "And I'll come with you." Inuyasha blushed a beet red. `Did she say that she was going to come with me to take a bath?' Inuyasha thought.

"Uh," Inuyasha began as he cleared his throat. "Do you think that's a wise idea?" Kagome looked puzzled at first, but then glared at him with angry eyes.

"Inuyasha!" she said furiously. "I am not coming with you for anything you might have going on in your head! Your wounds need tending to! Ugh! What is it with men and being perverted? I ought to not wash or heal them at all!" Inuyasha let out a deep breath of relief. Kagome, meanwhile, had folded her arms and turned around. Inuyasha rolled his eyes and growled.

"Fine! Fine!" he yelled. "Let's just go!" He stood up and grabbed her hand leading her away from Sango and Miroku. Sango and Miroku watched in disbelief as the couple walked off for Inuyasha's bath hand in hand. Sango blinked a couple of times and then looked at Miroku.

"Are my eyes playing tricks on me or did Kagome just go with Inuyasha to bathe?" Sango asked Miroku. Miroku was just as shocked.

"Your eyes are definitely not playing tricks on you," Miroku said. Sango shook her head.

"I just don't get it!" she said in frustration. "Why can't those two just admit it?"

"While I still do not understand Inuyasha's reasoning, I believe I am beginning to know why he doesn't tell Kagome of his true feelings," Miroku said folding his arms and sitting Indian-style. Sango raised an eyebrow at Miroku.

"Oh?" she said questioningly. Miroku nodded.

"I believe Inuyasha knows he is in love with Kagome. He would be a fool not to. However, I think he is trying to protect them both. We are traveling on a dangerous journey. Inuyasha and Kagome admitting their feelings for each other would make Kagome even more vulnerable to attacks than she already is. Plus, it would only complicate matters. Inuyasha has enough to worry about right now. I am sure that once we get to the castle and he makes his decision, he will let his true feelings show," Miroku said.

"I hope you're right," Sango said. "For both their sakes." Miroku sighed.

"Of course…there is always the issue of him being a half-demon," Miroku said. Sango raised an eyebrow at him and sat down next to him.

"Why would that have anything to do with it?" Sango asked. "You and I both know that that doesn't matter to Kagome." Miroku nodded.

"We know that…but does Inuyasha?" Miroku asked. Sango nodded her head as if she understood what was going on.

"I understand. Inuyasha thinks Kagome might be happier with her own kind," Sango said. "I guess if they were to ever end up together and have children, it would just be one more obstacle after another. I think I understand Inuyasha's thinking now." Sango pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. "But then who will Inuyasha end up with?" Miroku looked towards the sky.

"That's the sad part," Miroku said. "I think Inuyasha is willing to carry on as alone. I can't believe, however, that he will ever leave Kagome. He cares too much for her to leave her alone…especially with another man." Sango nodded.

"I guess we can only wait and see what happens when we get to the castle," Sango replied. "I sure do hope those two finally admit their feelings to each other. They make the perfect couple."

Inuyasha led Kagome to the warm water. When she arrived at the hot spring, she realized what she had gotten herself into. `I just agreed to come with him like it was nothing!' she thought. She glanced down at the water. The water was translucent so at least Inuyasha had a little privacy. She sighed.

"Okay, well I will turn my back, and you take off your clothes. Call me when you are in the water," she said and whirled around leaving her back facing him. Inuyasha blushed a little. He was actually very nervous. For the first time ever, he was going to be completely naked in front of Kagome. He glanced down at the water. He would have a little privacy. He took a deep breath and began taking off his clothes.

Kagome on the other hand was holding her breath. She could hear each piece of clothing being removed from his body, and she couldn't help but get a picture image of him undressing himself. She bit her bottom lip. `Wait!' she thought. `What am I thinking? I am being like Miroku! Snap out of it girl!'

"Okay, Kagome," Inuyasha said breaking through her thoughts.

"Are you in the water?" Kagome asked.

"No! I'm standing behind you naked! Of course I am in the water!" Inuyasha growled. Kagome turned around slowly and there he was. Inuyasha sat with the water hitting him just below his chest. Kagome fumbled finding the soap and shampoo. `Don't think about it! Don't think about how absolutely gorgeous he is and how the water makes you two feet short of seeing his….OH, STOP IT!' she thought. `Just grab the damn soap and shampoo and hand it to him. He can bathe himself!' She grabbed the soap and shampoo and shoved it towards Inuyasha. He looked at her skeptically but took the supplies and began bathing himself. Kagome gulped as she watched him bathe himself. `I am such a hentai!' she thought as she watched the warm water glide over Inuyasha well-sculpted muscles. `I think I am beginning to understand Miroku more and more!' The thought made her giggle a little.

Meanwhile, Inuyasha was just as nervous. `She keeps staring at me,' he thought. `Is there something wrong with me? I can't believe I agreed to do this! What if somehow she is able to see me completely naked?'

`Oh, and I suppose she is just going to randomly see you naked,' his mind argued. `She won't see you naked if you don't let her…but the question is…do you want her to see you naked?'

`No! Why would I want that?' Inuyasha argued.

`Oh, I don't know,' his mind argued. `Maybe because you are in love with her and want to see her naked too!'

`Shut the fuck up!' he told his mind and shook his head of his thoughts. He grabbed the bar of soap and began bathing himself.

"Ow!" Inuyasha said when the soap hit his wounds. Kagome turned around and looked at him. He blushed. He hadn't meant to say that out loud.

"Are you okay?" Kagome asked him. She looked at his wounds and knew the soap was probably burning a little bit. Of course, Inuyasha's claws weren't making it any better.

"Yeah," Inuyasha said looking himself over. He began scrubbing his wounds really hard. Kagome smiled and moved closer to the water.

"You're not being gentle enough," Kagome said sweetly. "You'll end up making yourself bleed again. Come here. Let me do it for you." Inuyasha blushed and looked at her in disbelief.

"What?" he said aloud and gulped.

"You'll never clean your wounds properly at the rate you are going," she said. "Come here." Inuyasha gulped again and moved towards her cautiously, making sure his hips stayed in the water. Kagome blushed slightly as she watched the warm water lap at his hips as he moved towards her. He finally reached her and sat down in front of her with his back towards her.

"Fine then," he said. "You do it." Kagome gulped wondering what she had gotten herself into but then picked up the bar of soap and began washing the wounds on Inuyasha's back. She gently ran the soap and water over his back, scrubbing his wounds ever so gently. Inuyasha felt like he was about to melt under her gentle touch. He was about to begin purring when she interrupted his thoughts.

"So," she said as she ran water over his back. "What happened with you and Kouga?" Inuyasha's heart skipped a beat. He had forgotten he hadn't told her anything about that. He didn't know what to say. He couldn't tell her the truth.

"Uh, it turns out his father and my father were good friends," he said. Kagome stopped washing Inuyasha for a second.

"Really?" she asked as she continued to wash him. Inuyasha nodded.

"His lands border mi-…I mean my father's lands," he finished. "They helped each other out a lot during times of war. Kouga's father even tried to save my father from Sesshomaru, but arrived too late."

Kagome stared at Inuyasha in disbelief as she continued washing his wounds. She glanced down at his wounds. It seemed her spiritual powers were speeding up the healing process. Kagome turned her attention back to Inuyasha.

"So what was his point in telling you this?" Kagome asked. Inuyasha sighed.

"He basically was telling me that due to our fathers' past together, he would allow us to pass through the mountains safely. He will not attack us because we are on his lands," Inuyasha finished. Kagome beamed with excitement.

"Wow, Inuyasha! That's great news! See, I knew Kouga wasn't such a bad guy," Kagome said, but regretted it as soon as she said it. She could feel Inuyasha's growl vibrating to his back. Even though she knew Inuyasha would never hurt her in a million years, fear struck her body like a ton of bricks. Inuyasha's golden eyes slowly turned to meet hers.

"Not a bad guy, huh?" Inuyasha asked slowly, trying desperately to control his jealous anger. Kagome gulped.

"Well…uh…I mean…that is…he could have hurt me…and…well…he didn't…and…he could still…um…attack us and all…but he's not going to…so I just thought…that…um…he wasn't all that bad since he wasn't going to kill us," she stuttered with a smile that begged for forgiveness. Inuyasha grumbled and look straight ahead again. He sighed. `I just want her to be happy,' he thought.

"Kagome," Inuyasha said so sweetly that it startled Kagome. "Just be happy, okay? That's all I ever wanted for you. I know I have a tendency to be overprotective, but it's only because I…I…care for you."

`Damnit!' his mind scolded him. `You had the perfect opportunity to tell her how you feel and you blow it.'

`Not now!' Inuyasha said. `The timing is not right.'

"But Inuyasha," Kagome said as she gently slid her hand under his chin and turned his face towards her. "I am happy." She smiled at him sweetly. "I'm happy with you. I don't want you to ever be out of my life."

Inuyasha wanted to melt right then and there, as did Kagome. She was happy…and she was happy with him. He sighed and turned his head away from her.

"One day I will have to be out of your life Kagome," Inuyasha said. "You will eventually get married and I don't think that your husband will think to kindly of me hanging around all of the time." Kagome frowned and jerked his face back towards her.

"Then I'll never get married!" Kagome said staring into his golden orbs. Inuyasha's heart began to pound in his chest.

"I'm a loner, Kagome. You'll eventually get tired of all of this," Inuyasha said. Kagome shook her head.

"Then we'll be loners together!" she said with a giggle. "We'll be unstoppable!" Inuyasha laughed. Kagome smiled, proud that she had made Inuyasha laugh once again. She wrapped her arms around his neck and squeezed him tight. Inuyasha reached his hands up and squeezed her.

"Don't ever leave me," she whispered so softly that had it not been Inuyasha she was talking to, he wouldn't have heard it. Inuyasha's ears perked up and his heart began to race. He squeezed her tighter.

"Don't worry," he said. "I will always look after you." Kagome nuzzled into Inuyasha's neck. Little did she know, that was a huge sign of affection in dog demon body language. Inuyasha immediately began to be more affectionate with her. He nuzzled back into her, and then realized that she probably had no idea what she was doing. He smiled and released himself from her embrace so she could continue healing him. He was already starting to feel a lot better. She sighed and sat back examining Inuyasha's back.

"Okay," she said. "Your back is all healed. Now I just need to do the front." Inuyasha's senses moved to his back as if searching for some type of scratch or injury, but they found none. `Amazing,' he thought. He turned around to face her. He sat up in the water a little so that the water hit him right under his hipbones.

"You're starting to get the hang of this healing thing, huh?" Inuyasha said. Kagome smiled.

"Well you do have to admit that I have had more experience healing within the past few weeks than most priestesses have had in over a year," she said with a smile. "Besides, your demon blood helps out a lot. I just give it a little boost." Inuyasha smiled, but then frowned when he was reminded of his demon blood. Kagome bent over and began cleaning Inuyasha's wounds from his waist up.

`I'll never be able to tell her how I feel,' he thought. `Even if she feels the same way as I do, I could never allow her to be with me. She deserves so much better.' He watched her bathe him as her face and hands grew awfully close to his…NO! He couldn't think about that. Kagome felt him tense.

"Is something wrong Inuyasha?" Kagome asked innocently. Inuyasha's demon side wanted to take control at that moment with her looking up at him with those sweet, innocent eyes. He wanted to push her back on the bank and take her as his at that very moment, but his human side kept him in control. He knew to stay rational.

"Oh, me? Oh, no, I'm fine," he said quickly. He blushed and looked away from her. Kagome eyed him skeptically, but continued with her cleaning. `Damnit girl! If you only knew what you were doing to me!' Inuyasha thought.

Kagome couldn't help, but notice how close she was to his manhood. She tried not to blush, but her face turned a beet red. Inuyasha looked down at her. He smiled. `She's as nervous as I am,' he thought. `That makes me feel a little better.' Kagome continued to clean his wounds and quickly worked her way up his body. Inuyasha couldn't help it anymore. He began to release his purr meant to seduce a mate, and even Inuyasha could tell Kagome was starting to become aroused. Unbeknownst to him, he even began to moan slightly as Kagome touched him. Kagome's hormones were beginning to race and she couldn't understand why. She tried to focus with all of her might but she just didn't know what to do. She looked up at Inuyasha's whose eyes were closed. She looked at his chest. `Hang in there, girl,' she thought. `Just a few more.' Kagome cleaned and healed his wounds as quickly as she could, but when it came time to wash his hair, she had given up trying to resist his temptations. Inuyasha sunk down into the water so his hair could be wet, and came back up above the water to meet Kagome with a handful of shampoo. Fortunately, Inuyasha had stopped his seductive purring. One more seductive purring like that and Kagome would not have been able to resist. Inuyasha sat with his back facing her as she began to massage his scalp with her fingers.

`Oh, God, this feels so good,' Inuyasha thought. For a while, the feeling for Inuyasha was half-erotic and half-relaxing, but not erotic enough for him to release his seductive purring again…that is…until Kagome reached his ears. Kagome finished washing all of the blood and dirt stains from his hair and then moved on to his ears. When her fingers began rubbing Inuyasha's ears, Inuyasha thought he was going to lose it. Not only did she massage them very seductively, but she would rub around them and behind them, all of which were his weak spots. Inuyasha couldn't help but release his seductive purr. Kagome suddenly felt something shoot through her again. `Why do I keep getting this feeling?' she thought. `Like I just want to take him right now!' Kagome tried to shake her head of these thoughts in vain. She quickly began rinsing his hair, making sure that all of the shampoo was out. She quickly ran conditioner through his hair and rinsed it out as well. The entire time Kagome and Inuyasha were both fighting their temptations. They were both trying to control themselves. When Inuyasha came back out of the water after rinsing the conditioner out, he looked like a new man. He was clean and his wounds were gone. Kagome knelt on the bank and looked up at the muscular man that stood before her. She was smitten. He smiled gently.

"What's wrong, Kagome?" Inuyasha asked. Kagome stared at him without any expression.

`His face…his countenance…it's so much softer than the first time I met him,' she thought as she recalled their first meeting. Inuyasha's face was so cold and full of hatred. Now, it's like he cares for me and even trusts me. Inuyasha looked at her again as if trying to figure out what she was thinking.

"Oh!" she said shaking her head free of her thoughts. "You just are wet and could use a towel." She turned around and reached for a towel.

"Thanks, Kagome," Inuyasha said. Kagome smiled.

"For what?" she asked as she fluffed the towel.

"For taking care of me," he said motioning towards his now unwounded body. Kagome smiled.

"No. Thanks for taking care of me," she said. "I would be dead a hundred times by now if it hadn't been for you." She removed her shoes and socks so she could get her feet and calves wet to put the towel around Inuyasha. She stepped into the warm water and motioned for Inuyasha to come closer.

"Come here so I put the towel around you," she said. Inuyasha moved towards her carefully, making sure his hips stayed below the water at all times. He soon reached her and Kagome flung the towel around Inuyasha's shoulders.

"There you go," she said and began backing away. Unfortunately, she didn't see the root dug deep in the water behind her. "Agh!" she squealed when her heel made contact with the root. Inuyasha looked up just in time to see Kagome falling. Everything seemed to go into slow motion. Inuyasha's demon eyes could see the sharp roots she would fall on if she landed in the direction she was going.

"Kagome!" he screamed and, in one quick motion, he jumped towards her, grabbed her around her waist, and flung her back on the bank with him lying on top of her. Both of them landed on the ground with a thud. Inuyasha quickly realized he had no clothes on and wrapped the towel around his waist.

"That was a close one, huh, Kagome?" he said with a smile. "Kagome?" He looked down at her when she didn't answer. "Kagome!" Her eyes were closed. He placed his ear near her nose and mouth to listen for breathing. She wasn't breathing. `The hard impact must have knocked her unconscious,' he thought. He looked up. There was no way Sango and Miroku would hear him. He had to act quickly. He placed his fingers over her nose and his mouth over her lips as he began giving her CPR.

"Come on, Kagome! MIROKU! SANGO!" he yelled in between breaths. He pressed down on her chest a few times and then would breath into her mouth a couple of times. Finally, Kagome's eyes began to flutter open, but Inuyasha apparently didn't realize it as his lips headed for her mouth once again. Kagome had no idea what was going on and was shocked by what she found happening to her.

"Inuyasha!" she yelled a milli-second before his lips touched hers again.

"Kagome!" he said wrapping her in his arms. "You're alright!"

"Of course I'm alright!" she said. "What were you doing trying to kiss me?" Inuyasha blushed and growled.

"I wasn't trying to kiss you!" he said. "I was trying to give you CPR! You were unconscious and you weren't breathing! The impact on the ground must have knocked you out!"

"Oh," Kagome said blushing. "Sorry. Why did you push me back on the bank like that?" Inuyasha sighed and blushed again.

"Because there were some pretty sharp roots where you were going to land, and I didn't want you to get hurt," he said. Kagome giggled. "What?" he asked in confusion.

"You're protecting me from scratches now?" Kagome asked through a few more giggles. "Don't you think you are taking it a little too far?"

"Grrrr! Those wouldn't have been scratches!" Inuyasha yelled angrily. "Fine! Next time, I'll just let you fall!" Kagome giggled and scooted closer to him. It was then she noticed that he had nothing on except a towel wrapped around his waist.

"No, you won't," Kagome said as she wrapped her arms around him and nuzzled her face into his chest.

"I will, too," Inuyasha said ignoring her affection. Kagome grinned and decided she could have some fun with this. She stood up and walked over to where she assumed the sharp roots were. Judging by Inuyasha's reaction, she had assumed right.

"Really? You will let me fall?" she said as she grabbed on to a nearby tree branch and dangled herself over the roots.

"Kagome, stop that!" Inuyasha demanded. "That's not funny! It's dangerous! STOP IT!"

"Aw! What's the matter Inuyasha?" she said playfully. "The big, mean roots gonna get me?" Inuyasha growled and balled his fists by his side.

"Kagome, don't make me treat you like a child!" Inuyasha said. "One….."

"Two…." Kagome chimed in with a smile.

"Two and a half…" Inuyasha said as a smile spread across his face.

"Two and three quarters…" Kagome said with a laugh. Their smiles soon faded when they heard the tree branch start to crack. Kagome looked up to the tree branch. It was barely connected to the tree now. She looked down into the water and finally saw what Inuyasha had been talking about. Just under the water, close to the edge of the bank, was a small group of sharp objects that appeared to be roots. She turned to look back up at the tree when she heard it crack again. Just as Kagome watched the tree branch break from the tree, she felt herself being scooped up and flung to the ground again. She looked up to find Inuyasha lying on top of her panting heavily. She didn't know what to say.

"Um…three?" she said with a sheepish smile. Inuyasha looked up at her and growled.

"You could have really hurt yourself playing around like that!" Inuyasha scolded her.

"Yeah, but I thought you said you would let me fall," Kagome said coyly. "So why not?" Inuyasha frowned and blushed.

"We-We-Well…grrrr…it doesn't matter what I said, okay!" Inuyasha said as he looked away. He was more embarrassed than anything, and the blush on his cheeks showed it. Kagome smiled.

"Okay, sorry I worried you," she said with a smile. Inuyasha looked at her.

"Are you hurt this time?" he asked running his claws through her hair as if looking for scratches of any kind.

"No," she said, but then smiled playfully. "You just want an excuse to give me mouth-to-mouth again!" She lightly shoved him and laughed. Inuyasha blushed and smiled. He decided two could play at this game. He positioned himself to where he was completely on top of her holding himself up with his hands so as not to put too much weight on her and placed his lips millimeters from hers.

"Mouth-to-mouth, huh?" Inuyasha said seductively. [A/N: Oh my God! I would tear him apart if he did that to me! Oh…uh…hehe…on with the story!] Kagome could feel his breath on her lips. Her heart began to pound inside of her. She didn't know what to do. Inuyasha also didn't realize how much the position was turning him on, too. He began releasing his seductive purring without even knowing it. Kagome soon was becoming aroused underneath him. It didn't even hit him until his sensitive nose picked up the sweet scent of her womanhood growing hot and wet. His heart began to pound almost in a panic. He hadn't meant for the situation to end up like this. It was only supposed to be a playful game. Then…his eyes met hers. Her eyes pleaded with him not to stop, but his mind said otherwise.

`I can't do this,' he thought. `I don't want to hurt her. I don't want her to hurt me. It's too dangerous for us to be like this right now. She will be in serious danger if my enemies find out about this.'

`NEWS FLASH! Everyone already knows she is your weak spot!' his mind argued. `So it really doesn't matter what you do with her!'

`NEWS FLASH to you too buddy! I am wearing nothing but a towel! I don't want to scare the poor girl! I…I…just don't want to hurt her,' he thought as he looked down at the beautiful companion squirming beneath him.

`So don't,' his mind said.

`Maybe if I…' he thought.

"Kagome," he said breathlessly.

"Hmm?" she moaned and looked up at him. Inuyasha and Kagome stared into each other's eyes for what seemed like an eternity. Inuyasha ran his fingers through her hair gently as he admired the stunning treasure beneath him. Kagome's eyes still searched him as if looking for a reason he called her name. He pressed his cheek against hers and then slowly and gently ran his cheek across her own until his head was towering over hers once more. Meanwhile, Kagome was having her own battle. Each move Inuyasha made was like a toxin invading her body. She was enjoying every bit of the situation, except for one thing.

`I want to make sure he is doing this because he cares for me and not because he lusts for me,' Kagome thought. `I don't know what a half-demon could possibly want with a human.'

`Don't be ridiculous,' her mind argued. `You know Inuyasha cares for you. He wouldn't risk his life for you all of the time if he didn't. Besides, you are a powerful priestess. You are not your average human, and even if you were, you know that that wouldn't matter to Inuyasha.'

`Sometime I agree with you and sometimes I don't,' Kagome thought. `I mean it's almost as if he has two completely different personalities. He's nice one minute and mean the next.'

`It's just his way of hiding his emotions,' her mind argued. `You have to remember what Inuyasha has been through. It is saying a lot that he trusts you.' Kagome smiled to herself.

`You're right,' she thought. `I'll just follow my heart.' Their noses were barely touching as Kagome ran her fingers through his still damp hair. When she finally reached his ears, Inuyasha had made a decision as well.

`I don't want to do anything she's not ready for,' Inuyasha told himself.

`That's fine,' his mind said. `Just test her out. Kagome's a strong woman. She will tell you if she wants you to stop.'

He leaned down and kissed her on the cheek and looked at her. She seemed okay with it. In fact, she seemed more than okay with it. She had leaned into his kiss. She looked up at him. A light blush had spread across her cheeks. She smiled softly. Inuyasha smiled back, running his fingers through her hair once more. He kissed her on her cheek once more and much to his delight was pulled down on top of her even more so that his chest pressed onto hers. Inuyasha's heart skipped a beat. That move had almost taken his breath away. He looked at her briefly before kissing her cheek again and then placing light kisses all the way down her neck. Kagome moaned into his embrace, not wanting him to stop. He continued his light kisses all the way down to her collarbone, but decided not to go any further…not yet anyway. He looked at her. She looked at him. The blood had rushed to their faces and their cheeks were red.

"Screw it!" Inuyasha said out loud and kissed Kagome's lips. It had taken her by surprise. At first, she was stiff, but then slowly allowed herself to melt into the kiss. Inuyasha's lips felt gentle and comforting to Kagome, almost reassuring, and Inuyasha knew he would never for forget the soft, sweet taste of Kagome's lips against his…and he hadn't. They both remembered their first kiss, but the circumstances were horrible. Both of them were an inch away from death and their senses had almost gone numb. It was hard for them to feel anything at all. It was nothing like this…nothing so pure and sweet and real. They were in perfect condition, had all of their senses, and knew exactly what they were doing. It was perfect. Inuyasha then made another move. His tongue lapped at her lips begging for entrance when Kagome finally opened her mouth. They gently massaged each others' tongues with a burning passion for more. As time passed, their passion grew more and more heated. Inuyasha began rubbing his hands up and down Kagome's sides and back as Kagome's hands began exploring Inuyasha's back and chest. She loved the feeling of his bare skin against her hands. She hadn't never gotten a chance to rub him like this before. Finally, Inuyasha gathered up the courage to lean on his left side so his right hand could slide down Kagome's back and caress her butt. He held his breath as he did this for fear he would be smacked upside his head, but his hormones urged him on. When Inuyasha's hands finally reached Kagome's butt, Kagome gasped in Inuyasha's mouth. Inuyasha didn't know whether to stop or to enjoy the fact that he had given Kagome extra pleasure. Kagome had to admit that she loved the way his hand felt on her butt. She could also tell that Inuyasha was trying to be cautious with everything he did which made her feel much more comfortable with the situation. It wasn't until Inuyasha's hands started creeping to the hem of her skirt that she began to become wary of the situation. When his hands reached the hem of her skirt, she pulled away.

"No," she said. Inuyasha immediately removed his hand.

"Okay, no problem. That's all you have to say," he said holding both of his hands up. "I'm sorry." Kagome smiled and scooted herself out from underneath him.

"It's okay," she said as she stood up and brushed herself off. She looked down at him and blushed. Inuyasha's towel was almost completely off him. It was mere centimeters from showing his…

"Uh, Inuyasha," Kagome said pointing to the towel. Inuyasha looked down and turned beet red. He quickly wrapped the towel around him.

"Oh, sorry," he said with a laugh. Kagome smiled and gathered up as much of the supplies as she could.

"Um, do you think you can get the rest?" she asked him. Inuyasha still sat on the ground thinking to himself.

"Huh? Oh yeah!" he said. Kagome smiled and turned to walk back towards Sango and Miroku. "Wait! Where are you going?"

"To Sango and Miroku…where else?" she said.

"Wait," he said standing up. "You don't need to walk back by yourself."

"I'm fine, Inuyasha," Kagome said. "You just wash your clothes and meet back with them."

"No," he said grabbing her hand before he realized what he was doing. They both blushed. "I mean…uh…it won't take me long to wash them. Just give me a couple of minutes."

"Inuyasha, I know you are trying to look out for me and all, but you are going to have to trust me to do some things on my own, okay? It's just a couple hundred yards that way. What could possibly happen during that time?" she asked innocently.

"A lot!" he retorted.

"Well, let's put it this way. You are always within hearing distance of me and I trust you to rescue me if I get captured or something. You always do," she said flirtatiously rubbing under his chin. Inuyasha closed his eyes and began purring, but then swatted her hand away when he realized what he was doing.

"Grrrr! Quit treating me like a dog!" he growled. Kagome giggled.

"Okay, when you quit treating me like a child!" she said. Inuyasha growled. Kagome raised her eyebrows and tapped her foot impatiently.

"Speak, boy! Come on! Say something!" she said playfully as if she were talking to a puppy.

"Fine!" he said. "Just as long as you quit treating me like a puppy!" Kagome nodded her head and stood on her toes giving Inuyasha a light peck on the cheek.

"Thanks!" she said and turned around to walk away.

`I can't let her leave,' he thought. Then he thought of something. He had almost forgotten the etiquette his parents had taught him.

"Kagome," he said stopping her in her tracks. She turned around to him.

"Yeah?" she said. He walked over to her, placed one hand behind his back, and grabbed her hand with the other. He bent over slightly and kissed the top of her hand.

"My lady," he said with a smile. "Please do me the honor of walking you back to Sango and Miroku. I only want your safety, and my parents would kill me if I weren't a gentleman." Kagome looked at Inuyasha in disbelief.

`Okay,' she thought. `Make that three personalities.' She stood there with her jaw dropped open for a couple of seconds before she found the words to say anything.

"Fine, I will wait a few minutes," she said. "But hurry up!" Inuyasha hated complying to Kagome's commands, but he didn't want her to get hurt or for her to find out about Kouga's plans so he immediately began washing his clothes. He soon was dressed and had gathered up everything else. The two then walked back to Sango and Miroku with one question on their mind: "What the hell just happened back there?"

A/N: And all the Inu/Kag fans say "Yay!" Another chappie done! I am really back into writing now and I have got all sorts of ideas for the next chapter. If you liked this one, you are going to love the next one! Okay, so there was lots of fluff in here. I decided since I had been gone for so long that you all deserved some fluff. FLUFFY, FLUFFY, FLUFFY! And yay! You all finally got your Kagome and Inuyasha kiss! And for those of you questioning about the others.
