Kohaku?! Is it you!?" Sango asked.
" Yes. I rememer........everything. I know that I am a demon-slayer,
and that you're my big sister." Kohaku replied, with some sadness in his
voice. Sago looked at him, and was surprised to see tear tracks running
down his face.
He must have remembered what he had done, both before he died and when
he was controlled by Naraku, not just who I am! Sango realized.
" It's okay, Kohaku, you were being controlled." Sango said
consolingly.
" But-but...... so many people have died........ It's my fault......"
Kohaku's voice trailed off. He looked like he might start crying again.
" I- I attacked you and the others......... so many times....... will
they forgive me?"
" Yes, Kohaku, they will. They know that you weren't yourself." After
Sango said that, she hugged Kohaku, ands he hugged back. After months
with no comunication, they were finally back together. Sango had her
little brother back.

Sango and Kohaku went over to the others.
" Kagura, here's your heart." Sango handed Kagura her heart.
" Th-thank you" The wind demoness seemed at a loss for words. After
ages of being dictated by Naraku, she was finally free.
" Um..." Shippo spoke up. " How is she supposed to use her heart?
Doesn't it do better when it's in her body?"
Kagura looked startled. Apparently she hadn't thought about how she was
supposed to use it.
" Lord Inuyasha, I have heard of a ritual involving the recieving of
hearts."
" Okay Myoga, what should Kagura do then?" Kagome asked.
" Oh, all she has to do is eat it." Myoga replied. " Like Hiten did
with Mantens heart when he died. That was ingesting Mantens power, but it
should work the same for getting her heart back."
The nearby students who had been listening turned green at the thought.
Kagura looked annoyed that they found it disgusting.
" Oh, well, if I only have to do that......" Kagura said, and took a
bite out of her heart. Soon, the entire this was devoured.
" Ugh...." Kagura fell over, clutching her chest.
" What is it?" Kagome asked.
" Well, having your heart grow inside of you when you never had one
before isn't going to be pleasent!" Kagura said through gritted teeth. It
felt as though her body was on fire, centering at her chest area where
a heart should be and spiraling out from there.
" Ugh...." she muttered once more in discomfort before having the pain
recede suddendly. Kagura put a hand to her chest. There was a steady
beat there. She had her heart, and no one could take it now.
She let out a laugh. The others looked at her and backed away a little.
" Oh, come on! I have my heart, and I'm no longer bound to anyone!" She
gave a little laugh.

Later, the principal took Kagome aside and asked her what she would
wish for on the Jewel.
" Well, actually, we're missing a few shards." Kagome said, sighing.
" You are?" Kagura asked, over hearing the whispered conversation. " I
thought Naraku had the rest.......... Oh! He did have them!"
" But- the Jewel isn't complete....... And Naraku even had Koga's
shards!" Kagome said, remembering an earlier battle.
" Well, Naraku put one in Kohaku, but I know a way to keep Kohaku alive
and get the shard. Naraku also gave one to Kikyo, and he hid the rest
in his castle."
" Oh, well, do you think you could help us find them?" Kagome asked.
" Me? Help you? Willingly......' Kagura pondered this for a moment. It
would be the ultimate act of defiance to her dead creater if she
helped. It would also be her first act of free will.
" Why not?" Kagura said. Under her breath, she added " That ought to
make him roll around in his grave."
" Okay, I'll just go tell Inuyasha!" Kagome said happily. " I just need
to ask my principal something first."
Kagome asked if it was okay if she left school for a while to find the
last few shards. The principal said that would be fine.
" Oi, wench!" Inuyasha called to Kagome. He was finally back to normal.
" Let's go! Kagura said that there are more shards that we don't have!"
" Coming Inuyasha!"
They were headed back to the Sengoku Jaidi.
