" Bye Mom!" Kagome called when they got to her house, which was also a
shrine. " I'm going to the Sengoku Jaidi!"
" Okay honey, come home soon and don't forget your clothes and food!"
Her mom yelled to her.
" Don't worry, I'm already packed!"
Kagome ran outside to where the others were.
" Okay, are we all ready?" Kagome asked.
" Yes wench, and we were waiting for you!" Inuyasha said, with a bit
more bite then usual. He was in no mood to run into Kikyo in the near
future. He didn't want the Jewel to be completed either, then he'd never
see Kagome again- where did that thought come from? He wondered.
" Let's go then." They all went to the well house, and jumped into the
Bone-Eating Well. They were enveloped by a blue light, and appeared on
the other side, 500 years in Japans past. They were back in the Sengoku
Jaidi.

When they appeared on the other side, Inuyasha growled.
" What is it?" Kagome asked.
" It's Koga! That wimpy wolf......."
Inuyasha jumped out of the well with Kagome on his back. He called over
his shoulder, " Kagura! Get them out of the well!"
" Kagome!" Koga cried, delighted. "I'm so ahppy to see you again! How's
dog turd been treating you?"
Inuyasha growled and shoved him aside.
" Back off Koga!"
" Why should I? She's my woman!"
" No, she isn't!"
" What are you bickering about?" Kagura asked.
" Kagura!" koga growled. He still hadn't forgiven her for killing off
his pack. He growled, ready to fight her.
" Koga! Stop!" Kagome said. " She's on our side! Don't fight her!"
" Wha-? She killed my pack! I have the right to avenge them!"
" She was being controlled by Naraku! Naraku is the one who killed your
pack! She had her heart stolen by him, so she had no choice!"
" She still smells like Nara-" Koga broke off his thought aburptly. She
no longer smelled like Naraku. Since Naraku was dead, and she had her
heart back, she now smelled like the wind, if the wind can be said to
have a smell. It was like the dew on a freash morning, and a refreshing
breeze that came every day as he ran.
"-ku." Koga finished, his eyes somewhat glazed. Kagura stepped up to
him.
" I am truly sorry for the deaths of your pack members. I was under the
control of someone who is now dead, and I regret my actions. If you
ahve the need to take my life, I am glad I have experianced freedom before
hand. Please allow me one more chance to redeem myself, and allow me to
escort Kagome and her group to where the rest of the shards are
hidden." Kagura said, surprising everyone, but no one was more surprised then
Kagura herself. They were the standard apologies to someone when you
had killed their family. Kagura knew that she looked calm, but she was
really scared. Standard apologies or not, Koga had the right to kill her
now, and she wouldn't be allowed to fight back. She knew one youkai
that had been killed slowly for killing one pack member of a wolf clan.
His death had lasted hours.
" I accept your condolences, and am merciful enogh to allow you the
chance to redeem yourself. I ask you to help me rebuild what was lost in
my clan's fall, and I shall allow you to live." Koga said. He realized
that Kagura was pretty, and since she had her heart, she wasn't a danger
to him or his pack now, what little there was left of it. her face was
also much gentler, now that she was free. She would also be a powerful
asset to his pack.
" I will." Kagura said, blushing a bit. No, she thought, he couldn't
mean........
" Than you accept me as your mate?" Koga asked.
Kagura thought. There were many demonesses who would jump at the
chance. Koga was young, the leader of a powerful clan, and handsome. She
could do a lot worse she realized.
" Yes." she said. " Do you accept me as yours?"
" Ye-"
"Ah-hem!" Miroku cleared his throat loudly. " Are you aware of your
audience?" Koga and Kagura looked around. The rest of his pack had crept
up behind him, and were watching with their mouths hanging open.
Inuyasha's group was too.
" Oh, well........." Kagura's voice trailed off.
" Ko-Koga?" one of the pack members asked. " Is she your new mate?"
" Yes." Koga said. " She would be a powerful asset to the pack, and she
said the words of begging forgiveness. She is not ebing controlled by
Naraku anymore, and did you really enjoy all those she-wolves from minor
clans begging to marry me and eating all our food?"
" Well.. no. but...."
" See? No reason not to."
" What about Sister Kagome?" ( A/N: The wolves refer to her as Sister
Kagome.)
" I don't need her to see the shards, and Kagura can help out more.
Kagome would also die before me. Kagura won't."
Had Koga looked behind him, he would have seen Kagome glaring daggers
at him, and he would have been ready to be hit by a boomerang, a staff,
and 3 fists-Kagome, Inuyasha, and Shippo.
" Apologize!" Inuyasha snapped.
" Why? Now that I'm out of the picture, you can have her! I did you a
favor dog-turd!"
" Wha-?" Inuyasha looked shocked. " I-I don't-"
" Whatever. Bye!" Koga turned to run.
" Wait! Koga!" Kagura called. " I have to help them find the last of
the shards!"
" Oh,all right."Koga said. " We'll join you too." He indicated the rest
of his pack.
" Let's go."
