“Well, that demon did quite a number on you, Toga. My, I must say that I have never seen so look so beat up.” said a cool dark voice.
“Forgive me, Naraku-sama. I was not expecting it.” He apologized weakly. His body was in bits and pieces all over his chambers. You could hear his pulse as he absorbed demons and other creatures to get back to his original form. It was not a lovely sight, and the room smelled like rotting flesh.

“See that it doesn't happen again, Toga. You know what will happen to you if it does. If you keep absorbing all the soldiers that you do, we will have no more army left.” Naraku grinned with a crooked smile. He was pale skinned, with short, spiky reddish brown hair. He was young looking, barely out of childhood it seemed, and his eyes were like the color of fire as he looked at his general. With his size, he didn't look like a formidable opponent, but looks can be deceiving.

“I promise you, my Lord, that nothing will ever happen like this again.” His promised with a raspy voice. He shivered at the look has master gave him.
“I will join you next time, Toga, when everyone is well. It has been quite awhile sense I last saw my dear miko, and I would like to fight this new-comer face to face. He seems like a worthy opponent after what he did to you all. Our spies say that he just the miko's pet from the past.” He informed him, turning to look out the window. Taking a seat on the window seat, he looked at the darkened sky and smiled. “How beautiful the sky looks today.”
“Yes, my Lord. It is quite a sight.”

“They say that he is a hanyou by the name of Inuyasha. His sword is called the tetsusaiga… Doesn't that sound familiar, Toga?”
“No, my Lord, I don't recognize the name.” He answered.

“He is the son of the great Inu-no-Taisho of ages ago and brother to Sesshomaru. His sword is rumored to be quite powerful. And he is the one who defeated the first Naraku… He is a pure hanyou as well; Born of a demon father and a human mother. Now isn't that interesting?” He said, turning away from the window to look at Toga.
“I guess it is, sir.”

“NO! It isn't!” He snapped. Jumping across the room, he grabbed Toga's head and jerked it towards his face. Toga screamed slightly at his master's deadly gaze. “This is not good at all, you baka! He is way out of our league, and he can defeat us easily! He is of pure and noble blood! NO demon exists like that anymore! All of us are impure mixes and scraps.” He growled releasing his head. He walked back to the window seat and kneeled before it.

“How can we get our revenge if we are all killed off, Toga? We must revenge our brethren and kill the humans for what they did. Don't you remember what the ningen did to us? Do I need to remind you, Toga?” He whispered.
“No, Naraku-sama. You don't.” He squeaked. His master's youki was suffocating, and he was afraid.
“They killed us all off. That's what they did to us. Isolating themselves from the rest of the world so they could get the job done and purify Japan. That is what Ieyasu wanted, so he got it. For almost two hundred years, the Tokugawa clan tried to kill us all off. Along with anything else that wasn't Japanese. But we were here before the humans. This is our land, all of Japan is.”
That is why we are getting our revenge, Toga. And we will do it one city at a time, for we are immortal and humans aren't. That is why we should rule them, not the other way around. They are imperfect, but we are perfect. They will all die.” Pushing himself up, he turned to Toga and chuckled, “That is why, Toga.”

“Thank you for reminding me, Naraku-sama.” He murmured, bowing his head.

“Now, the next time we go, we shall find out our new friend's weakness to bring him down before he brings us down. He knows the way of the ancients and must be destroyed… or brainwashed. Is that a good plan?”
“Yes, that is a good plan…”

“Get well, my friend.” said Naraku as he left the room.
Toga listened until he could here no more footsteps and let out a sigh. You will pay for this, Inuyasha. Oh, you will pay.

Inuyasha awoke to find himself floating in a white fog. He could see, hear, or smell anything.
“Where the fuck is I?” He asked himself.

His eyes scanned through the thick fog, trying to recognize something. All he could see was shadows. He shivered slightly as a cold breeze brushed past him. Not the kind of cold winters gives, but something evil. His hackles on his neck rose.

Suddenly, he heard a creepy whisper, “Three times is too many, hanyou. This is no place for the living…”
“Who the hell are you?!” He asked. He reached to his obi to grab tetsusaiga from its hilt, only to grab air. Looking, he only found an empty sheath.

“Three times is too many… Go back to the world of the living, Inuyasha… You don't belong here yet…” It spoke.
“What the fuck do you mean by that? Who are you and how do you know my name?!” He yelled. He looked around franticly, but could not find the source of the voice.
“Three times is too many… Go back, Inuyasha. You are not allowed here yet…” It whispered again.
“I get it! Will you stop saying the same shit! Give me back my sword and I'll gladly go back!” He growled. He had a really bad feeling about that voice.
“Go back…” He heard behind him. Turning around, he saw a group of imps; they were the messengers of the afterlife. “Three times is too many…” They began to chant as they floated towards him.
“Stay back!” He ordered, but when he went to swipe at them, his body became motionless. He couldn't fight them off as they crawled onto his body. All he could do was growl.
“Three times is too many…” They chanted. Then all of them took their tiny claws and began to rip off his skin and clothing. Inuyasha yelled out in pain, their claws felt like fire.
They continued to rip at his flesh and still chanted the same words, “Three times in too many…” His yells echoed in his ears, and he could feel his blood drip out of his flesh and down his body.
The pain was too much for him, and as he was blacking out, he saw a figure; its eyes glowed a golden hue.
“Not yet, little brother… You can't come here yet…” It spoke and it was the last thing Inuyasha heard.

“Ahhhh!” He yelled as he sat up with a start. He took his hands and felt his body for wounds, but there were none left from the imps. He was perfectly fine.
Inuyasha let out a sigh, “What a crazy dream…”

“Inuyasha, you're awake.” Kagome said as she came into the room. “I was so worried.” She took a seat by the hospital bed.
“What the fuck happened?” He asked, rubbing his temples. He had a massive headache and his heart was still racing from the dream.
“That's what I was going to ask you. You jumped into the barrier and within a couple seconds you were thrown back in all cut up and knocked out… I've been so worried. It's been two days sense then, Inuyasha.” She whispered.

“I don't remember anything… I jumped in and then had that weird dream. That's basically it.” He said looking into her worried eyes.
“What was the dream about?” She asked.

“Well, I was floating in this white mist and I kept hearing this whisper that basically said, `Three time is too many, Inuyasha. This is no place for the living.' And stuff like that. Then all these imps came and were saying the same thing. They crawled onto me and began to rip of my skin, and it hurt like hell. I've never felt such pain in a dream before…” He told her.

“Then what happened?” asked a familiar voice. Looking up at the door, Inuyasha saw Katsu and Hojo standing in the doorway.
“Well before I blacked out, I saw a figure with golden eyes tell me to go back… It called me little brother…” He said confused.

“What do you think the dream meant?” Hojo asked as he and Katsu walked into the room.
“I think it meant for me not to leave the barrier…” He replied.

“But why do you think they said that?” Katsu pushed.

“I think I was in the world between this world and the next; the entrance way to the after life; the demon's grave yard.” He informed them.
“Inuyasha, what does it mean? How could you have gotten to that world?” Kagome asked.
“It means that Tokyo isn't beyond the barrier. We aren't on earth anymore.” He realized.

“Come now, Toga. I want to meet my new play mate.” said Naraku happily as he stood before the Gate.
“As you wish, Naraku-sama.” Toga grinned. He was all better and couldn't wait to get his revenge.
“Open the gates, my children!” Naraku ordered the gate keepers. The gate began to glow as the hooded creatures began there chant.

“Let us go visit our toys!” Naraku yelled as he leapt into the portal. Toga and his men followed behind him with a battle cry.
