A slight wind blew, causing the girls raven black hair to curl around her pale face. She stood behind a rather thick oak tree of the Yoshimada Park, spying on the tow of them. ‘I have every right to be here.’ She strictly told herself. He was, after all, her boyfriend. It was perfectly normal if she had waited outside his house in the bushes, secretly followed him as he briskly walked to the Yoshimada park, then took her place behind the great oak to see him meet up with ‘her’. Right? ‘Its perfectly normal.’ She tried to convince herself for what seemed like the hundredth time that night. ‘What am I saying? I’m acting like some freak stalker! But I had to find out for myself... I had to see if it was true..’ So there she stood watching her boyfriend, her love, holding another women in his arms.

“Kikyo...” she heard him say. Then the women in his arms looked up in to his face and slowly, hesitantly, their lips drew closer to one another’s only to meet in a passionate kiss.

All Kinds of emotions flooded over Kagome, hate, sadness, pain, shock, disbelief. It felt like her whole world, the one she had tried so hard to make perfect, came crashing down in just a few short seconds. How could all she have worked for be so easily destroyed? Maybe it was not as strong as she first thought it to be. Maybe the relationship she thought was solid as rock was merely wet sand. Maybe they weren’t meant to be after all...just like everyone said.
