InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Parent Trap (Inuyasha Style) ❯ Chapter 1

Once again I really hope you like this and if you see another one of this story floating around here some where with no chapters or anything forgive me I'm new at this. I hope you like this and please read and review. Also again I don't own Inuyasha or The Parent Trap. Girl doesn't have a job and I have no money either. I also added some scenes that wasn't in the movie so please deal with it. Anyway on with the story.....

It's been a year since Inuyasha and Kagome have been married and the both of them couldn't be happier. Inuyasha's mother Atsuki decides to have a barbecue in her backyard on her high estate. Kagome sighs and sits down on a chair.

"Man I'm so tired and my ankles hurt. I didn't think being pregnant would be so hard." Kagome says out loud to no one in particular. Sango smiles and sits next to Kagome feeling her swollen stomach.

"Hey Kag how do you feel?" Sango asks her. Kagome rolls her eyes and shakes her head.

"I'm eating for not two but three people, my ankles are red, my face looks horrible and I haven't seen my feet in six months and you're gonna ask me how do I feel?" Kagome gives Sango a sour face. Sango burst out laughing loudly. She looks at Kagome's not so thrilled face, Sango waves her hands in side to side and wipes the tears from her eyes.

"I'm sorry Kagome but you have to admit you're funny. I mean I never thought I would see you pregnant. And here you are Mrs. Kagome Shikon eight months pregnant with twins." Sango smirks. Kagome rolls her eyes and shakes her head looking down at her stomach.

"Tell me about it. I never thought I would be pregnant either. You remember when we were in college how we use to say we would never get pregnant or married." Kagome sits back in her chair resting her hands on her stomach. Sango crosses her legs and nods her head.

"Yeah I remember those wild college days. I definitely remember your face when you first Inuyasha, you dropped everything in your hands and you had a major klutz attack." Again amused by her own joke, she burst out laughing. Kagome squares her eyes at Sango then smiles titling her head to the side.

"Yeah but my klutz attack wasn't as bad as your when Miroku found your back side utterly amusing." It was Kagome's turn to start laughing. Sango's cheeks turn a deep dark red.

"Kagome!"

"What?" Kagome shrugs still laughing. Sango crosses her arms and starts laughing.

Kagome and Sango been friends since their freshmen day in college. Sango comes from a high estate and her and Inuyasha been friends since they were young. Sango decided that Inuyasha and Kagome would be great together and she introduced them. Kagome and Inuyasha hit if off the minute they started talking. Kagome decided to return the favor and hook Sango up with her long term friend Miroku. Actually Miroku and Sango hit it off well too till Miroku found her backside amusing.

(A/N: ::Sighs:: Miroku will never change)

Speaking over the devil. Miroku walks to Kagome and Sango smiling widely.

"How are my two favorite ladies? Or should I say four including the little pumpkins in there." He crosses his arms. Kagome smiles and rubs her stomach.

"You can include them but I hope they come out soon." Kagome sighs and shakes head. Miroku puts his hands on the back of Sango's chair.

"When are you due?" Miroku questions trying to look down Sango's low v-cut shirt.

"September 13th." Kagome sighs. Sango elbows Miroku in the stomach then smiles at Kagome.

"Hey look on the bright side at least we're close by." She shrugs. Kagome growls lightly and sighs.

"Are you tripping on acid Sango? It's only August 24th." Kagome snaps. Sango and Miroku jump back a little sweat dropping.

"Right."

Inside the mansion Atsuki stands in the kitchen watching Kagome's every move. She nibbles on her nails feeling anger rise in her. Inuyasha walks into the kitchen and sees his mother watching Kagome.

"Mom what are you doing?" Inuyasha questions as he gets a bottle of water.

"I'm watching that woman making sure she's treating my grandkids right. Giving them what they need. You know low people don't eat as well as high class people do." Atsuki sighs as she soothes her lavender designer suit out. Inuyasha sighs and leans against the counter. They've had this argument over and over and over but she never gets the picture.

"Mom don't start with this again. Why can't you like Kagome? She's not a woman at all. She's sweet, loving and very giving, you don't like her just because she's not in a high class that's petty." Inuyasha shrugs as he sips his water. Atsuki turns her attention to her son and walks up to him putting her hands on her hips.

"I'll have you know Inuyasha I'm very specific with the way I want things. And yes she is sweet, loving and giving but so is a cat and you don't see it mating with a dog. Do you?" She questions him trying to hit logically. He shakes his head not falling for her trick.

"No, don't even try it. It's different. Kagome and I are both human. So you're point is dead." He tells her. She points her index finger at him and squares her eye at him.

"Alright then let me put this in blunt terms then. You're a circle and she's a square and circles are suppose to stay with circles and squares are suppose to stay with squares. Your father was a circle, his first wife was a circle, Sesshoumaru is a circle, Rin is a circle and you are a circle. You can't mix a circle and a square together."

"But if the square is as big as Kagome's heart then a circle can fit in there." Inuyasha snaps back and smiles because he knows his mother can't back that up. She clears her throat pushes her black raven hair behind her ears.

"But if you squeeze them together you get a deformed shape which will be the result of your children if you do not leave that woman and leave that house soon!" Atsuki crosses her arms looking annoyed. Inuyasha gets ready to say something then he sees Kagome standing there.

"Kagome what's up honey?" He walks to her putting his hands on her shoulders. Kagome forces a smile on her and clears her throat to hold back her tears.

"Sesshoumaru needs the barbecue sauce and I need some water." Inuyasha gives her the barbecue sauce and the water. "Thank you." She replies in a high pitch and walks out the kitchen with tears falling down her eyes. Inuyasha looks at his mother.

"Do you think she heard?" He looks worried. Atsuki shakes her head no and waves her hand at him.

"Of course not. She couldn't have, I finished my sentence before she came here." She tells him. Inuyasha rubs his chin. Something didn't feel right to him, Kagome looked sad. He think she heard and that's not good at all.

That night Inuyasha and Kagome sit quietly in their house in their room. Kagome sits on the rocking chair rubbing her stomach and looking out the window. Inuyasha sits on the bed flipping through his magazines waiting for her to yell or shout at him. He sighs not able to stand the quiet treatment any longer.

"Kagome what is the matter? You haven't sad a word to me since we left my mother's house." He says out loud. Kagome refuses to look at him and shrugs her shoulders.

"N-Nothing." She looks down at her stomach and begins to rub it.

"Kagome you're lying to me." He tells her sensing her coldness. Kagome shakes her head still looking out the window.

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are." Inuyasha proceeds. Kagome shakes her head again.

"Just leave it alone Inuyasha." Kagome warns him. Inuyasha sighs getting his picking his magazine back up.

"You people are so touchy." He mumbles. Kagome looks up then turns to him.

"What do you mean you people?" She questions quietly.

"Huh?" He looks up at her.

"You said you people. What do you mean by that?!" She questions raising her voice.

"Nothing. You're just being touchy."

"Ok, fine. I'm being touchy but why did you say you people?" She crosses her arms looking at him. He sighs and shakes his head.

"I'm sorry. I have a habit. After all I grew up in a high-"He cuts himself off and looks down knowing he messed up big time.

"In a higher class right? In a HIGHER CLASS!!" Kagome stands up and raises her voice. Inuyasha stands up and holds his hands up. Kagome stands up and starts pacing back and forth.

"I knew this wouldn't work Inuyasha. We live in two different worlds." Kagome rubs her forehead.

"No, not at all Kagome."

"Yes Inuyasha. Did you forget you're a circle and I'm a square!" She looks at him as tears falls down her eyes.

"You heard that?" He asks her quietly.

"Uh yeah." She nods her head. Inuyasha looks down feeling horrible.

"Kagome you have the problem with the social class thing!"

"I do not Inuyasha. I love you for you and I don't care about social class."

"I love you too Kagome."

"I don't know Inuyasha. I-I-I want out."

"You want out of where?"

"Of this marriage it's not working at all. It'll be better for the girls so they don't come out deformed." Kagome walks into the bathroom slamming the door.

"God damnmit Kagome! Stop acting like a bitch it's not serious Kagome!" He yells as he bangs on the bathroom. Kagome opens the door and throws a curling iron at his forehead then gasps holding her stomach.

"My water broke."

Three hours later, Kagome lays in the hospital holding her new baby. While Sango sits on the bed holding the other one.

"Kagome are you sure you want this?" Sango questions her looking sad. Kagome sighs and nods her head.

"Yes." Inuyasha walks in the room slowly looking sad. Sango looks at the baby and walks to Inuyasha giving him the baby.

"I'll let you too talk." She walks out the room closing the door. Inuyasha looks down at the baby in his arms.

"Are you sure Kagome? I mean can't we-"

"Inuyasha we rushed into this this was a mistake. We're not meant to be together. I'm sorry."

"So what are we going to do about the girls?" He sighs. She looks down at the baby in her arms.

"You have one and I have one and we'll stay away. It'll make things easier." Kagome clears her throat holding back her tears. He sighs and reads the name of the baby in his arms.

"Kasumi. What's her name?" He questions Kagome looking at the baby in her arms.

"This is Kayko. I'll send the divorce papers to your mother's house." Kagome tells him not looking down. Inuyasha shakes his head and walks out the room. Kayko gives out a small whimper, tears falls from Kagome's eyes.

"Shh it's ok Kayko. It's just the two of us now." She had to be strong for her daughter and herself.
