Chapter 7:
Several days passed uneventfully While Inuyasha and the others traveled back toward Kaede's village.
Inuyasha crested a hill in the familiar path back to Kaede's village. Stopping he looked out over the valley. Rice fields covered the majority of the valley floor, and the village was nestled at the foot of the mountains on the other side.
He looked back; Miroku and Sango were riding up on Kirara, Shippo between them. Kagome on the other hand was trudging her way up the hill. Fatigue etching her face from the ling climb. Inuyasha smirked, taunting her, “Hurry up, Kagome! Quick before we leave you behind.
Kagome glared at him, marching up the hill with renewed energy. This is going to hurt. He thought.
Kagome had caught up with him now. Murder in her eyes, “SIT!”
Inuyasha plowed into the ground, his face creating a foot deep crater. Kagome kept right on going, making short work of the hill, scree-running down the dusty path (scree-running- Running and sliding down a steep slope comprised of loose dirt, rock, sand, etc…) to the rice fields below.
Inuyasha picked himself up. Why doesn't she ever tease me back, or for that matter why do I tease her so much? I know she'll sit me if I do.
A voice in the back of his mind spoke up, because you like it. Besides you might actually get somewhere if you didn't. And we 'don't' want that now do we.
Inuyasha “Feh”'d and started running to catch up with them, thinking, Who the hell asked you?
The voice sighed in frustration, You did. I live in here to you know.
Inuyasha caught up with the others and slowed down to a walk. Assuming the lead, as usual.
Inuyasha kept looking back at Kagome. He wasn't getting anywhere and every time he did he messed up with in an hour.
Inuyasha slowed up a little so he could walk by Kagome. She looked away, doing a very good job of looking mad.
He walked a little closer to her side, whispering in her ear, “I can smell it, you not really mad.”
Kagome blushed, still trying to look angry, and failing miserably. The fake anger was distorted by a partially suppressed smile, creating a rather curious expression. She held it for a moment before her face melted into a smile. She grabbed his hand, grinning like a misbehaving child.
Miroku covered Shippo's eyes; he didn't need to see Inuyasha and Kagome. Not because of what they were doing, but Shippo had a habit of not dropping a topic. In front of him Sango shifted her hiraikotsu to block Shippo's view of the two.
Sango got ready to slap Miroku, he was going to grope her, he always did. 3…2…1…0… she didn't have a hand rubbing her but. He had an opportunity and he didn't take it…WTF. She spun around on Kirara as best she could to look at Miroku.
He was holding Shippo up be the shirt with one hand and the other was over his eyes. He was focusing on Shippo, trying to keep his gaze off of Inuyasha and Kagome. “Sango would you please blind fold him?”
Sango nodded, saying, “This will save you a beating later.” She giggled a little.
“What can't I see? Why can't I see it!” Shippo shouted from his suspended position, fists swinging wildly around, trying to hit Sango and Miroku.
Miroku used his free hand to catch Shippo's fists once the blindfold was on. Miroku set Shippo down on the ground, keeping a good hold on his small fists. He started walking again, following Sango.
Inuyasha and Kagome turned around to find the source of Shippo's yells, and dropped each other's hand. Miroku and Sango were blind folding him. Kagome had mixed reactions; on one hand she wanted them to let him go. On the other she was glad that he wouldn't pester them about holding hands later.
Kagome giggled and turned back around to walk next to Inuyasha. She started to feel at his side for his hand, but it found its way around her. Pulling her to his side she looked at him, and was greeted with a smile.
Kagome smiled back and wrapped her arm around his side. I'm pretty sure I love you, Inuyasha. She thought to herself.
Miroku and Sango watched the two. Sango mentally counted down to the grope. It came, but he had her hand in his, rather than her butt. Blushing a deep shade of red, Sango gave his hand a squeeze. Miroku really did care.
“Sango?” Miroku asked, “Do you remember your promise?”
Sango forgot where she was going and stumbled. He remembered! Sango dropped his hand, turning to face him.
Miroku looked taken aback, and somewhat dejected. Sango grinned suddenly and wrapped her arms around his neck, mashing her lips into his. Miroku wrapped his free hand around her waist, returning the kiss.
When the two finally broke apart Sango had tears in her eyes, “I thought you'd forgotten…” Sango buried her face in his shoulder, sobbing for joy.
(a/n: I know I'm bad at this.) n truth I'm going off absolutely no point of reference right now. Bear with my terrible skills)
Shippo was pissed. He could hear everything, and they wouldn't let him see. It wasn't fair!

-Blake Inu Toshki-
Blake climbed the hill up to the manor. The place was huge; the grass was short, even, and green. Green is such a weird color. He thought his mind going over the browns on the Afghan desert where he had served, and then further back to the desert he had grown up in.
He shook his head. He was starting over the driveway to the house, the gates opening up as he approached. The guard nodded to him as he passed. Blake returned the gesture. Trying to remember what Japanese he had learned on the boat. I`m not gonna mess this up. He mentally promised himself.
He walked up the remainder of the drive, pulling out a sheet of paper with a scribbled message on it. Hopefully Sesshomaru spoke English, Blake didn't have much faith in his English-Japanese translated note.
Stepping up to the door he rang the bell. He listened to the chimes in the manor, they echoed down the grand hall.
This place is huge! Blake thought, might as well sit down to wait. Blake sat down on the step, flicking through the papers he had. On one of them was an incomplete ID card. He was going to need it if he was going to stay. He'd change his appearance and use that image to conceal himself, not yet though. After “summer break” he'd do that. Blake offered a prayer to whatever god was watching over his squad mates, both dead and alive. He ended it with the phrase, Oh, and Xeno its bol-th not bo-th even though it's spelled both.
Blake heard footsteps on the other side of the door. Standing up he braced himself for his future.
Sesshomaru Inu Toshki got up off the couch. Rin stood up to follow her husband (mate actually), but he motioned for her to stay there. He wasn't expecting his godson for at least another two hours. His half-demon self was still hidden and sealed from him, and a normal human would not be able to make it up here in from the docks so fast. He grabbed toijen from its stand. He'd kill the intruder.
Five minutes later Sesshomaru arrived at the door. He grasped the doorknob with one hand and readied Tokijen in the other. (a/n: It grew back after 500 years ok he is a demon after all)
Blake stuffed one of his pistols in the back of his pants and a spare clip in his back pocket. Pulling is sweatshirt over the gun he got ready to meet his godfather.
Sesshomaru pulled the door open thrusting blindly at where the intruder should have been standing. He wasn't there, Sesshomaru spotted him quickly diving off the steps on to the land.
Blake looked at the window next to the door. The tip of a sword caught his eye. The door handle clicked and flew open and the sword shot through, but Blake was already moving, his soldier's instincts taking over. Ridding him self of his pack, papers, and ID he still held in his hand he pulled a combat knife out of its sheath on his belt, his gun coming up in his left hand.
Sesshomaru was surprised by the perception of the intruder, an American by the looks of it, another assassin sent by his rival company. The bag and papers the “assassin” had discarded stuck him as odd. It didn't matter though. If he had to he'd revive him to keep the authorities off of his back.
Blake fired, the .45 cal slugs tearing off parts of his assailant's hand. Blake felt the gun lock open. Shit…Blake began to size up his enemy. The man's hand was recognizable as a hand, but it was useless. The Man put two fingers together. A green glow forming on the tips. Blake pulled the gun back behind his back sliding the spare clip into place.
Sesshomaru Started to circle, his opponent doing like wise. The gun came back up, the breach sliding closed. Sesshomaru rushed the 10yard distance in less than 2 seconds, but not so fast that Blake couldn't unload into him. The gun locked open once the 7th and final round in the clip flew down the barrel.
Blake unloaded the .45 into his attacker. He readied the knife and flipped the gun over to his bag. He felt razor sharp claws sink into his chest, pulverizing the ribs. Blake rolled with the attack catching sight of the bullet holes in Sessomaru's chest. They should have slowed him down, or killed him.
Sesshomaru was hit with the rounds from the pistol, slowing him down. Finally a worthy adversary. He thought, sinking his claws into the man's chest, trying to rip out his heart. The man looked much younger than he had at a distance, before he looked about 25 or 26, now he looked no older than seventeen. The man or rather youth looked at him before Sesshomaru found his heart, cutting it to pieces. The young man hissed at him, blood spewing from his mouth, “I haven't lived my life right yet.” The youth drove the knife through Sesshomaru's jaw, gouging and cracking the bone within and almost ripping it off, as the youth collapsed, dying.
Sesshomaru sniffed the body. The blood smelled faintly of demon. The sent ebbed before the last trace of life left the body in the form of the young man closing his eyes of his own will, and the smell ebbed. Sesshomaru was puzzled by this and straightened up. Crossing over to the pack and papers, Sesshomaru picked them up. A pair of ID's fell out. They both read “Blake Inu Toshki.” One had a picture the other didn't, a replacement for after a physical change.
Sesshomaru looked back at the body, his godson's body. He had fought his godson, who was a worthy opponent with out his demonic powers. Sesshomaru shuddered. He was going to have to revive him after all.
Sesshomaru picked up the body and carried it inside. “Rin!” he called, closing the front door, “Rin, Our godson's here.” Rin came speeding around the corner to greet him, and was met with a corps.
“What'd you kill him for?” she yelled at her mate.
“He was a human, a human couldn't climb the hill as fast as he did and no car came up the hill.” Sesshomaru Kept walking, Rin followed behind, “I thought he was another assassin.”
Sesshomaru placed the body on the table and strapped it down. “Rin, Please bring his things in.” Rin left the room.
Sesshomaru placed tokijen back on its rack and drew out the tensaiga. Gripping it his eyes narrowed, the demons of the after life appeared before him swarming over the body the body, there was also a much larger something, it looked like the body, except for the demonic features, the din of battle growing louder. The Demonic form had lower back length silvery white hair, like Sesshomaru's own, and triangular dog-ears. The demonic being yelled “I am NOT gonna die yet!” It appeared to be unaware of the changes to it's body, the knife still in its hand.
-Blake-
His heart was cut to pieces, literally. He knew he had his last chance to kill his attacker now. He'd die himself, but he'd take the asshole with him. He summoned the last of his strength ramming the knife into his attackers head. He couldn't see where it hit, but some thing broke.
Blake felt himself falling, and then he hit the ground. THUD. He gazed blankly up at the sky, and closed his eyes. He wanted to cry. He had failed…again.
Blake opened his eyes again; he stood over his body, the area around it covered in blackness. He turned to face his attacker, he wasn't there, and glancing back at his body several demons appeared and began to hack at it, destroying it. He lunged, these things weren't going to destroy his body, he grabbed the knife from the hand of his body, slashing at the demons.
Blake was preoccupied by the demons when he saw his killer. He was too busy to care though, he had to protect his body, to restore himself to it, but how.
-Sesshomaru-
The demonic being was pushing back the demons, clustering them. Sesshomaru struck, the demons that were still trying to hack away the body sliced in two.
Sesshomaru watched with mild interest as the demonic being that had attacked the demons get sucked into the body. So that is how it works. Thought Sesshomaru, sheathing tensaiga. The inky black ness dissipated as he did so, the youth on the table coughing.
The youths white hair turned silvery white, his nails turned into claws, and his eyes from the hazel, gray they were to the golden brown of a half demon. Sesshomaru, left before the hanyou saw him. He'd let Rin care for the hanyou for now. She would be able to explain this better than he could.

-Kaede's Village-
Shippo had been convinced to go gather herbs with Kaede the day after they had gotten back to the village. Nothing had happened after they had released him. He had noticed that Inuyasha and Kagome sat closer to gather than usual so did Miroku and Sango for that matter.
Sango and Kagome waved Shippo and Kaede off, before retuning to the hut where Miroku and Inuyasha sat. Debating the pronunciation of a word. The two looked up when the women entered the hut.
“Kagome,” Inuyasha started first, “we need to talk, alone.”
Kagome liked a little shocked at Inuyasha's seriousness. “Umm, ok.” Kagome felt a little weird about the whole `alone' thing but agreed anyway.
Inuyasha stood up and followed Kagome back outside. “Ok, what's up?” Kagome asked.
“Not here,” Inuyasha said, “Hop on.” Inuyasha crouched down a little so Kagome could climb on. He waited until she had a good grip before he took off.
He leaped from treetop to treetop, soaring over the treetops in between. He stopped at the base of the sacred tree. (what's it called The Goshinbo or something) He jumped up to a branch with out a problem, putting Kagome down. He sat down beside her, and put his arm around her, pulling her closer.
“Ok, what did yo…” Kagome asked, turning her head to face him, until the pressure of his lips on her's silenced her. He's kissing me! Kagome squealed mentally. She forgot to return the kiss.
Inuyasha looked a little down that she didn't return his kiss. “That,” he said, “You don't really like me that much do you.”
Kagome shook her head slowly no, “Here its easier to show you.” He looked back at her only to find her RIGHT THERE! She kissed him right on the lips, her tongue leaving her mouth and entering Inuyasha's, playing with his tongue.
“Inuyasha,” she said when she pulled back, “I don't like you, I love yo...”
He cut her off, pulling her into a kiss, deepening it. “I love you more.” He challenged, just before they clashed again, their tongues rampaging about in each other's mouths. Kagome moaned into it, all coherent and linear thought going out the window. She had wanted to do this for so long, and it felt so right.
-Miroku & Sango-
Miroku and Sango waited a minute or two after Inuyasha and Kagome left before they jumped on each other. Sango pressed herself into Miroku her tongue writhing against his lips, demanding entrance. Miroku granted it, playing with her tongue before allowing it to explore his mouth.
Sango retreated from his mouth, sliding her tongue across his, inviting it to come with hers. Miroku obliged, his tongue retuning the favor and exploring her mouth. Their tongues continued to frolic where their mouths met. Miroku and Sango broke apart, panting; they melted back together, Miroku's hand making its way to Sango's butt, squeezing her ass. She moaned in pleasure.
Shippo and Kaede were coming back from their endeavor. Kaede and Shippo were both laden with herbs. Shippo heard the moan and hurried ahead. Going through the door he put down the herbs. He looked around, his eyes landed on Miroku and Sango. The two were wrapped around each other. Shippo slow turned around and walked out the door.
He ran back to Kaede. He stopped in front of her. “Kaede! Don't go in there! Its not safe!” Shippo started running again, his eyes felt like they were scared.
Kaede wondered what on earth was in the hut that scared Shippo. Not heeding Shippo's warning, Kaede wished she had instantly. Slowly she walked out again. There was a wedding ceremony tomorrow. Perhaps I should hold it tonight. Thought Kaede, rubbing her eyes to rid them of the image.
A/N: That was not well done, mostly because I have no experience and have to read other people's books to get the content. I know this was also kind of bi-polar with Blake, InuxKag, and MirxSan. Oh well, 3 reviews or no update. That's right 3. Lets see how many that is …1…2…3… gee that was hard.
Just one more thing, Thanks to all those who have revieved this far:
