A New Predicament

As Sango and Kagura searched for Kohaku, the demon slayer pondered this new predicament she found herself in. As they called out his name, and searched among the trees and bushes, a myriad of things rushed through her mind. Different scenarios played out, each one more horrible than the other.

“I am beginning to think you lied to me,” Sango said darkly, as she watched Kagura blow a bush away angrily with her fan.

“I may be Naraku's spawn,” Kagura snarled. “But that does not make me a liar. I told him to stay put and wait for me.”

An intuition nibbled at the corner of her mind, and Sango flushed a deep crimson. She faltered in her steps, her drawn sword slowly lowered to the ground. Oh, kami, no - had he seen her with Kagura?

“Did you make him stay far enough away so he would not see or hear us?” Sango demanded.

Kagura turned around and smirked. Then she sauntered up to the fuming demon slayer and grabbed her ponytail, forcing her into a rough kiss. Sango broke away angrily and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

“You didn't, did you?” Sango spat. “I'm sure he witnessed everything that happened between us!”

“Well, I am sure he enjoyed the show we put on,” Kagura purred. “Especially the way you screamed when you came in my mouth…”

“You…” Sango sputtered, one fist clenched at her side and her knuckles white from her grip on her sword.

“Come now, you need my help to find Kohaku, so let's work together,” Kagura said nonchalantly.

“I don't need your help, I can find him myself!” Sango retorted.

“In these dense woods?” Kagura said “I don't' see your companions - where's Kirara?”

Sango knew she had a point…Nodding, she acquiesced.
