(This is my story but only some of my characters. Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha I only wish I did but I don't so there… A cute princess and Robin Hood type song on aqua inspired this story).

 

 

 

 

A Princess and her Prince

 

 

 

 

A girl with long raven hair ran threw a field with a cute little smile gracing her lips. She wore a long light blue dress with dark blue ribbons in the back she was barefoot and held her shoes and gloves in her hands. Finally she got to the person she was searching for, a man with short brown hair on top of a black horse got down and stood in front of her. Her eyes were watery and her smile left her face as he said a few words to her unheard by the spotter. They kissed and he rode off into the distance with her trying to smile and wave bye but inside she was depressed and wanted to die. She walked slowly to her castle with her friend now by her side supporting her with calming words and things like.

“He'll come back” and “It will end soon” but everyone knew that the war he left to would be his death and would last for many, many days.

 

~~~ One Month later ~~~

 

“Princess Kagome” a girl with shoulder length wavy golden locks called for the princess.

“Yes Lora” the princess came out of her room with her waist length hair tied up in a ponytail and wore a long white dress.

“Oh, your father would like to see you in his chambers”

“Okay thank you” her father had been sick since the day her mother died, it was sad but it was the past so Kagome tried to forget about it. (In this Kagome has longer neater hair and she doesn't care much for her past).

“Yes father”

“Oh Kagome please come here” he smiled weakly to his daughter and tried to sit up but couldn't

“You needed to see me”

“Yes, well as you know I am ill and will not last much longer”

“Don't say that you'll live”

“No Kagome I have not moved in an entire month and disease as taken more life than was thought”

“Please you can't die” tears streamed form her eyes.

“I have sent a servant to get help around here”

“Father”

“Kagome I want you to stay safe when I die please take care of your brother and please don't be sad or I will be hurt” she nodded and wiped her tears away.

“I do not want you to get hurt by those demons”

“I won't and neither will Souta”

“I trust you will keep him safe from those awful demons”

“I will and I'll keep you safe too”

“Keep in the safety of the castle at late afternoon and please…” her father fell asleep.

“Father” she whispered and left the chambers.

 

The next morning Kagome woke before the sun had a chance to come up, she had, had a terrible dream of her fathers death so she ran to his room as quickly as she could.

“Father!”

“Oh Kagome”

“Oh thank god your all right” she ran to his side and hugged him.

“Why what's the matter daughter”

“Nothing”

“I love you”

“I love you too father” she held his hand as it went limp. He fell asleep never to wake again, she didn't cry for she did not want to hurt him with her sadness. So she got up and ran outside of the castle gates to a hill not too far. She cried her heart out till she could cry no more, she sat with her head on her knees watching the sunrise and turn the sky a rose purple, pink, then blue.

“Kagome!” a girl with jet-black hair ran over to her friend.

“Sango” Kagome began to cry again now with her friend holding her. Sango was a princess from a land not too far so she came to visit every day she could and spend time with her best friend.

“I heard when I got here I'm so sorry”

“No I'm sorry”

“For what?”

“I didn't keep my promise not to cry when he died”

“It's okay now come on your still in your night gown” the two smiled and went to her chambers.

 

~~~ Five weeks later ~~~

 

More servants were hired to help decorate for the still upcoming ball tonight. Sango and Kagome helped out with things like cooking and cleaning things their fathers would never allow. (Sango is now living with Kagome cause her father died). Souta played with his friend named Rin well not really his friend anymore they were both 13 and really liked each other. Finally all of the decorations and cleaning was done. Ribbons of many colors were strung around red carpets covered the floors, it was probably the most decorated castle on the lands. The sun showed it was about four and the girls needed to prepare themselves for the guests.

Kagome put on a long and graceful blue dress with purple ribbon around the edges, the sleeves went off her shoulders and her hair was tied in a bun with hair put on her shoulder. Her shoes were not seen but that made it easier to just go barefoot. She put on light blue gloves and both diamond necklace and earrings. She wore nothing else which gave her a plainer beautiful princess glow. The lighting made her jewels sparkle framing her face in even more beauty.

Sango wore an almost black purple gown that tied behind her neck and flowed out at the bottom showing white lace at the sides. Her hair flowed past her shoulders with two strands in front, she had only gloves made of purple jewels as her sparkle and it was a beautiful sparkle around her body. She too wore no shoes since her feet were not to be seen from under the dress. Rin and Souta were given permission to stay in another room with other friends instead of dress up for the ball.

“Wow Sango you look beautiful”

“Thanks you too Kagome”

“Now for the finishing touches.” They picked up silver crown and placed them on two servants who were dressed up as well. The servant that wore Kagome's crown had shoulder length golden hair and bright blue eyes. She wore a long wide dark green dress with half-puffy long sleeves the rest were skin-tight, the sleeves went off her shoulder but her shoulders were also covered by a light purple cape down her back. The dress was tight around the chest area but loose after that she wore a big golden necklace and gold cuffs around her wrists. The crown of Kagome was small and the top was edged like leaves the girl to wear Sango's crown had chin length brown hair and purple eyes. She wore a long baggy but thing black dress that had no sleeves, and instead of gloves she wore long sleeve like silk around her arms it hung down and looked very princess like, she wore a wide silver necklace and silver earring that hung to her shoulders. The crown of Sango was also small but instead of leaf edges her had more wavy edges.

“Why princesses are you sure you want to do this”

“Yes it's going to be fun if everyone thinks you two are the princesses and were just some girls dancing”

“But what if someone mistakes you for a servant and harms you”

“Not likely Lora it's okay we can handle this”

“Yes but can we handle this”

“All you have to do is sit on the thrones and watch”

“Okay” the two dressed up servants went and sat on the thrones awaiting the ball to begin. By now the sun was about to set meaning it was 6 and the guests were coming.

Sango and Kagome opened the doors and bowed to the people who came in. Ayame walked past them and knew what they were doing. Ayame wore a long red dress with long sleeves that had slits down the middle of them. She wore her hair down and a small golden crown. Kagura walked in wearing a simple dark gray dress that surrounded her chest and shoulders with a silver ribbon, she wore her hair through her black crown and smiled at them also knowing their trick. Many people walked in but the two that caught Kagome and Sango's eyes were two men one had short black hair tied back in a tiny ponytail and gorgeous eyes that captured Sango's eyes. The next one who came in had short brown hair and looked like her true love so many years ago but this man was younger and looked kind but stern. All of the guests had come in and the doors were now shut. Music was played and everyone danced or sat down and talked. Kagome was talking to Sango till the man that Sango saw earlier came up to her and asked if she would dance with him she of course said yes. Kagome stood alone with a smile on her face.

“Excuse me miss” she turned around to see the brown haired man.

“Yes”

“Would you be so kind as to have this dance with me”

“Yes” was all she could say and exactly what she wanted to say.

“My name is Sir. Hojo”

“I am Pr… Kagome”

“That is a very beautiful name”

“Thank you. Um why do you not dance with the green princess”

“I would much rather dance with the beautiful blue princess right here” a blush crept over her face and he kissed her hand.

“Would you like to go outside to talk”

“Okay” they walked outside and he glided her in front of him.

“Even though you are not a princess you have kinged my heart” she smiled and he bent down to kiss her. Suddenly a rustle was heard from the bushes and Hojo turned with his sword drawn and Kagome behind him, nothing came out so they went back inside. The moon was now on the other side and everybody left for home quickly so not to get caught by demons.

“THAT WAS THE BEST KISS EVER!” Kagome fell onto her throne dreamily.

“That Miroku is such a pervert! But he is really nice, Except for his wondering hand!” Sango kept going on and off about liking or hating the man she danced with. The girls went to sleep with happy dreams, as did Souta.

 

The next morning Kagome was up before everybody as always, she got dressed and went to her favorite hill oh ya it's by the woods. She watched the dark sky become a dark purple and becoming lighter and lighter till it was a magnificent red and orange. The stars were all gone and the moon was becoming less visible to her eyes. Suddenly a flash of silver went into he woods.

“What was that?” she then found herself already next to the woods without thinking she walked in the. She looked for the silver she had seen and saw nothing she turned to walk away till she heard something in the trees behind her. She turned and in seconds a boy was in front of her, he had long silver hair and ruffly bangs, he also had cute little dog-ears on the top of his head. That's when she noticed his golden eyes looking at her angrily.

“Were you following me?” he asked in an angry voice.

“N… No”

“Yes you were you wench” he came closer to her and looked at her features. She was kind of cute with her black hair over her shoulders and her simple white dress and chocolate eyes that called for him.

“I'M NOT A WENCH I'M A PRINCESS OF THIS LAND FOR YOUR INFORMATION!”

“Whatever” he began to walk away not wanting her to know that he was amused by her.

“Halt I command you to stop and get back over here”

“You do not own me therefore you cannot control me”

“Oh really” before he knew it he was on the ground and she stood above him triumphantly.

“WHAT THE HELL YOU BITCH!” he got up his eyes angry but he was actually curious how she did that so quickly without his ears hearing her walk over the leaves.

“You deserved it for calling a princess that”

“Just because you're a princess it doesn't mean I can't kill you” he ejected his claws and put them in her face making her take a step back.

“I… I'm not afraid of you!” she came closer to him knocking his hand down they were now face to face.

“Oh really” he put his hand on her neck but she didn't move so he put his other hand on her side and squeezed slightly getting a twitch form her. He smirked showing one of his fangs and squeezed more.

“All you can do is squeeze me to death HA!”

“Oh I can do much more” he kissed her but I a vampire way as his fangs drew blood from her lips she moaned in both pain and passion. He withdrew licking his lips Kagome wiped the blood form her lips and stared at him.

“KAGOME!” Sango called her friend's name- Kagome turned her head.

“So your name's Kagome” when she turned the demon was gone she knew it was real the kiss the eyes but she had to go home.

“Sango” she came from the forest.

“Why were you in there”

“Just walking”

“Okay well breakfast is ready”

“Cool” they walked back to the castle and Kagome took a quick look back but saw nothing.

 

Later when Sango had gone with Souta to her castle to say hello to her parents Kagome went back to the forest. She walked into the dim beautiful world and looked around for him.

“Hello Kagome” came a sly voice she turned and there he was waiting against a tree and his arms crossed.

“What's your name demon”

“Inuyasha”

“Well Inuyasha even though it was improper of both you and me to kiss I can forgive you”

“Forgive me you kissed back”

“You bit my lips”

“Heh!” he jumped up on a not too high branch.

“If all you came he for was to say that then you can leave stupid wench” he closed his eyes.

“Actually I came here to meet you and talk to you”

“Well you met me and we talked so you can go”

“Well if your gonna be so rude to me then I will!” she started to walk out of the forest.

“Wait” she turned around and saw him on the ground he walked towards her and pulled her into another kiss. (Okay this is kind of unlike him when they just met but this is my story so if you don't like it then to bad stop reading). Kagome leaned into the kiss and let out a small sound into his mouth, they pulled away for a breath.

“Who are you?”

“I told you my name's Inuyasha what is your brain broken or something”

“NO! But you just don't seem like a real demon if you're kissing a human”

“I'm a hanyou”

“That is…”

“A half demon”

“Oh what are you”

“Dog and human”

“Cute” she walked over to him and rubbed his ears… later they were sitting on the hill looking at the sunset.

“Okay well I have to go”

“Where?”

“Home”

“You have a home I thought you lived in the woods”

“Of course I've got a home I'm not poor!”

“Sorry I just ok well can I see you tomorrow”

“Ya sure” he smirked and was gone in a flash. Kagome got up and walked back to the castle to find Hojo coming towards her on his horse.

“Kagome I'm so happy you are here”

“Sir. Hojo why are you here?”

“I came to buy you from your owner so you can come and live with me instead of be a servant”

“Oh um well… I'm not really a servant here I'm the…”

“Princess Kagome oh there you are” Lora ran over to her and bowed to Hojo suddenly realizing she blew Kagome's cover.

“I am so sorry Princess”

“It's okay I was about to tell him anyway”

“So you're not the princess she is”

“Yes”

“Well then I have fallen in love with a princess” Kagome blushed.

“Princess Kagome will you become my Queen” he asked on one knee.

“Sir. Hojo!”

“I know I am not a prince but I have a great deal of love to offer you”

“I cannot”

“Why not”

“My heart has been taken by another”

“I understand thank you for being truthful and not tell me a lie princess” he hopped onto his brown horse and rode away.

“Princess Kagome Sango sent a messenger saying she could not make it back tonight so her and Souta will be staying at her home”

“Thank you Lora” she bowed and walked into the castle.

`So I'm pretty much all alone the servants are down In their chambers Sango and Souta aren't here' Kagome sighed she was all alone and restless thinking about Inuyasha. She sat on her throne and dreamt of him being her king and her his queen but that couldn't happen he was not a prince and he was a hanyou for that matter but who cares her father isn't around anymore. She smiled in her sleep but little did she know she was being watched through a high window. The window was broken open waking Kagome quickly. All lights went out and she couldn't see anything.

“WHO'S THERE!” she asked practically screaming.

“Kagome? Princess Kagome where are you”

“By my throne” Lora came with a lit candle.

“Princess Kagome you must come down to the servant chambers there are demons in here”

“Oh my god” they quickly went down to the servant chambers and blew out the candle after locking all doors and pushing many heavy items to the doors.

“Lora why do you think they come now what would be here that a demon would want”

“Death Princess death and food some may want gold”

“But all of the gold is in a place far away”

“They do not know that though”

“Shh!” everyone became quiet and movement was heard at the door as someone tried to push it open.

“Foolish humans you cannot hide form us we can smell you!” a deep scratchy voice was heard form the other side.

“Princess hurry through here” Lora pulled her through the scared crowd and put her in a small box room under a carpet.

“This will hide your scent stay quiet”

“Come down here with me”

“I cannot”

“I command you”

“Princess” Kagome could here the cry in her voice.

“Please princess quiet” she closed the door and put the rug over it. Kagome heard a loud crack and screams form her friends. Dark laughter was heard from all over and the screams grew distant as the servants ran away some seemed cornered and Kagome could still here Lora's scream.

`No I've lost too much not her too all I'll have left is Sango and Souta not alone NOT ALONE!' she screamed in her head and covered her ears. Finally she could take no more and shoved herself out of the boxed room.

“PRINCESS” Lora's scream pierced Kagome's ears. She lit a candle and the face she saw terrified her. A face filled with hair and blood looked at Kagome with red eyes its fang's were shown and bloodied. Kagome dropped the candle at what she saw next, Lora's head was ripped from her body and as for her body it was just some pieces on the ground. Lora's face was in the middle of screaming and her eyes were white. Tears stung her eyes and she ran but wasn't fast enough to get far. She only made it to the throne room then was pinned onto the ground by a different Youkai.

“Stupid little princess you think you can run”

“No I think I can kill you” she pulled out a knife that Lora had handed to her before she was murdered, she stabbed the demon somewhere painful and began to run again.

“Where is everyone on the night I need them!” Kagome cried but her plea was not to be heard from anyone with a helping hand. She made it to the place she always went to and could now see with the full moon shining closely to earth.

“YOU BITCH YOU'LL DIE FOR THAT!” a Youkai with black hair and dark eyes well now becoming red ran towards her his body was covered by a cloak and only his clawed hands were seen. (This is not Naraku). His fangs were now longer than his face and he pinned Kagome to a tree, he licked her skin with his sharp tongue and with it he cut both sides of her cheeks.

“What are you”

“I am nothing to be remembered as you will die soon”

“Soon why not now?”

“I like to torture my prey first”

“It's not nice to PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD ARANGER!” Inuyasha rode up on a white horse and slice the creature in half. His tall white horse was like him and ran like a spirit.

“INUYASHA!” she fell on the ground crying.

“Come on” he held out his hand and pulled her up on the back of his horse, she held on tightly to him as they rode to safety but they would be joined quickly.

“INUYASHA WATCH OUT!”

“Shut up!” he turned his horse to dodged a Youkai but another one came from the side and knocked him off the horse. He fought the Youkai and killed it with his claws; he jumped back on the horse and rode another direction to lead them into a very deadly pit.

“Inuyasha”

“What!” he asked sounding annoyed?

“Thank you” he did not reply but just kept riding, they jumped over the pit but the werewolf demons were unlucky enough to fall in and die quickly.

“You saved me”

“Stop crying”

“How'd you?”

“I'm half demon I can smell it”

“Oh” she hugged him and they got off of the horse back at the hill.

“Why'd you come”

“I don't live that far from you I could smell the blood”

“Oh thank you for coming” she kissed him but he barely kissed back.

“Inuyasha?” she looked at him and saw him looking at her cheeks, he put his hands on both sides and wiped the blood away then pulled her into a deep kiss in which she got lost in. the sun rose and almost blinded the two with it's light.

“SANGO AND SOUTA!” she ran to her castle with Inuyasha following. She stopped as a cart came to the castle. Sango and Souta jumped from it and ran to Kagome she told them the sad news and they ordered some servants to come from her castle and help out. By nightfall the castle was cleaned of all blood and body which were burned in a fire outside. Kagome was depressed about Lora but put it in the past.

She could not sleep at all but was comforted by Inuyasha next to her who was also awake.

“Inuyasha”

“Huh?”

“Um… Thank you”

“You keep saying that” he closed his eyes and she leaned against him.

`I love you Inuyasha' she smiled and finally fell asleep. He opened his eyes and looked at her, he smiled and fell asleep with her in his arms.

`I love you Kagome, Princess Kagome, my Kagome…'

 

The morning came quickly and Kagome didn't wake till Inuyasha woke her up.

“Inuyasha”

“Kagome I need to talk to you”

“Okay” they walked to the garden of now trampled flowers.

“What is it”

“Kagome, Princess Kagome I love you”

“I love you too Inuyasha” they embraced in a small kiss, Inuyasha pulled away and looked down.

“Kagome I am not any regular demon well hanyou I'm a prince”

“You are!”

“Ya I didn't want to tell you when I first met you”

“Why not?”

“I didn't love you then and didn't trust you as much”

“But you trust and love me after only a few days”

“Yes you gotta problem with that”

“No Inuyasha” she smiled and kissed him.

“I'm your Queen now and that's all that matters”

“And I'm your king always”…

 

~~~ After the wedding ~~~

 

“Kagome” Kagome woke up in bed next to her king her husband Inuyasha.

“Yes Inuyasha”

“I love you”

“I know” she smiled and hugged him softly. After all had woken and were dressed Inuyasha said he had to leave for only a day and would be back as soon as possible Kagome was a little worried about this but trusted his Love. Day's passed then two weeks went through Kagome as she waited for Inuyasha when finally his horse no wait a brown horse came back with a cloaked man.

“Oh Inuyasha I was so--” she stopped at the man behooded himself to be Hojo.

“Sir. Hojo”

“I have a message for you Princess” he looked sad and handed her a letter. After she read it you could read that her heart was shattered, turned to dust, then blew away. She fell to the ground not even a tear came down her face.

“I am so sorry princess”

“GO AWAY!” she yelled running to the hill, she ran to the forest and searched for him until night fell and she went into her chambers.

“Kagome!” Sango came to her door the next day but there was no answer.

“Kagome I'm coming in” she kicked in the door and there sat Kagome in her bed with red eyes and a tear stained face.

“Kagome” she ran to her side and they both hugged.

“He's dead Sango how will I live”

“Souta and I need you to live don't die not like your father!”

“My father…”

 

 

Well there you go but that's not the end I'm starting a second part telling what happened to Inuyasha and if he's really dead or not. And in this one Kagome will sort of be like Kikyou searching for what she lost but she's not dead or anything you'll see if you read.
