Chapter one
The begining
“Hello! hi! Hola! Aloha!” she said “Which one is the best greeting? I know I state my name! Okay now lets' practice… Hello, my name is Leena; I am here to make negotiations! Yes I think that will work!”
Leena walked into a village, talking to herself. “Uhh…” *twitch* she looked around. The villagers have surrounded her.
She heard murmurs around her… “She’s a demon.” “Looks stupid to me.”
“She’s talking to herself.” “What kind of demon is she?”
“Uh… I come in peace! I am here to make negotiations! Please!?” a man with dark dirty brown hair asked her… “What kind of negotiations?”
“Not to be killed for taking food from your village.” She said.
“She’s ganna kill us, and steal our food! Kill her!” One of the men in the small crowd yelled.
“Uh…WAIT! I didn’t mean it like that!”
The men got their bows and arrows ready. “STOP!” They all lowered their weapons when a young girl about the age 15 walked into the opening.
“You will stop this at once!”
“…” Leena stared bluntly. She watched the crowed turn towards the right and bow down. ‘They think she’s royalty.’ “Heh” she giggled
“Right… um… you don’t got to bow; you know I don’t like it.” The men got up from the bow. “You all may go back to your work, you,” she pointed to Leena. “Follow me please.” “Milady, but it’s a demon, do you trust it?”
“Hey! Just because I’m demon doesn’t mean I’m an IT! I’m still part human. How can you trust her, she’s full blooded demon!” Leena exclaimed
“That’s because I can heal their sick and wounded, plus I’ve been here for a while.”
“Oh, but still they called me ‘IT’! It’s not fair!” she said back “fine.” The girl looked bored “Then why don’t you tell us what your name is.” The girl yawned. “My name is Lady Chigai.”
“Uhh ok, my name is Kyrathena Lee, and I prefer Leena if you don’t mind.” Leena replied professionally. “Okay, then please as I said before, please follow me.” Chigai smiled wide.
The two girls walked through the village, women, children, and men watching Leena. Some were saying, “Who is she?” “She looks demon” “is she lady Chigai’s friend?” “Mommy, she’s pretty.” Leena (as they don’t know) hears their thoughts and what they were saying. She telepathic and can telekinetic, the wind starts to pick up.
‘Hmm, she’s powerful, what kind of demon is she? I can tell she’s some human, but what’s the rest of her?’ they walked in a hut. “Uhh, what village am I in?” Leena asked. “I thought that this was kaede’s village.”
“It is, but she is out getting healing herbs, I am her apprentice, I came here six years ago when I was nine years old. I am now 15. How old are you? I can tell you are powerful… what kind of demon are you? I heard you say back there that you were some human too, so are you a hanyou? You don’t smell like a hanyou.” She said sniffing the air.
‘Wow… she talks too much… when is she ganna stop with the questions?!’
“I really don’t know what kind of demon I am, and I am only 1 quarter human that’s why. Well I’m only powerful when I’m fighting, and I never tell my powers.” She said.
“Oh, okay. So what are you doing here looking for Kaede?” “I wanted her to help me learn how to control my powers. I heard rumors in the forest that she can help ‘anyone’” she said.
“Ok, okay. Um… sorry, do you want some tea?” Chigai moved over to the fire pit in the middle of the large spacious room, to the tea kettle. “Kaede should be back soon.” Chigai said, starting to make the green tea.
“Sure that should be lovely. Where is Kaede anyway?”
Chigai sniffed the air, “she just entered the village, she’ll be here in a minute or so.” Chigai picked the tea kettle up and poured some of the green tea into three tea cups, and handed a cup to Leena, and took one for herself, then left the last one by the fire, for Kaede.
“Thank you.” Leena said “lets see now *takes a sip of tea* do you think Kaede will know of the prophecy?”
Chigai gulped “uh… which prophecy?” “The one where a powerful demon saves the planet cause I’ve heard…” Leena said “that I might fulfill that prophecy.”
