Last Time...
****************************************************
She felt her head just shut down as she fell on to the bed. "Did you do the job right?" asked someone from the balcony at where the servant stood. "Yes I did it right!" she hissed. "Calm down Sango I didn't mean anything bad" said the man. "Naoya shut up!" she said. "The lord is here," he said. She nodded. "My lord" said Naoya bowing down. "Sango" said the man. "About time you showed up!" said Sango. "Damn wrench give me minute would you," he said. He walked in and almost stopped on his tracks when he noticed the girl on the bed. "Can't be," he said. "Can't be what?" asked Sango. "Nothing" he said picking up the girl on the bed. "Sango take a blanket it will be cold on our way back," He said. "Yes of course" said Sango grabbing the sheets. He looked at the girl she was the same one he met at the market place.

"If it's not much of a problem I want to know why this girl and not the son" said Naoya. "I would like an answer to that too" said Sango watching their supposed leader stare down at the girl intently as if to burn her with his gaze. "My lord?" asked Naoya. He snapped back to reality and looked at his comrades. "She will do for now, all we need is a Priest or Priestess who can perform the ritual that's all" He said. "You are going to bring her back after that right?" asked Sango. "We will see," He said. Sango sighed and nodded. They headed out quietly, it was as if the hundreds of guards didn't even exist as they slipped past the palace and out towards the exit of the city. He looked down at her face as she slept, something was different about her, and he could sense sadness. "I worry for her safety," said Sango. "Why would you?" asked Naoya. "Why would I Naoya? We have the most insufferable boar of a monk who decided to help us," stated Sango. "Are sure you're not jealous that she will capture his attention?" asked Naoya. "Naoya!" Exclaimed Sango. The dark haired man smirked and nodded.

"We should be near the castle soon" stated their leader. "Hey what's got you all quite and mysterious?" asked Sango. "Nothing I'm just tired," he stated. "That never kept you from swinging that sword around like a dick" said Sango. "Will you shut up Sango!" he yelled looking at the brown haired woman across from him. "I don't think yelling is such a good idea" said Sango looking towards Kagome who was already starting to awake. "I thought you said you did it right" said Naoya. "I did, but I guess her body has a strong will" said Sango. "Hey where am I?" asked Kagome rubbing her eyes. He looked down at her. "Hey its you...you're the man I met at the market, wait is this another dream? I thought 'she' said I couldn't have dreams" blabbed Kagome. Sango smiled. "I see you have out witted my sleeping potion," said Sango. Kagome nodded "That's because you put way to little chamomile the more you put into the mix the better the potion" stated Kagome closing her eyes. "I think she still believes she's dreaming," said Naoya. Sango nodded. "I wonder if the guards are coming after you guys for kidnapping me," said Kagome snuggling closer to the man holding her.

"Well she is in between the two states," said Sango. Naoya smiled with amusement. "She shall prove to be very interesting," he said. "Very" stated Sango. "My lord the castle, I can see it," stated Naoya. "Yes let us hurry," He said as everyone quieted down. The only sound was the horse's hoofs on the golden desert sand. They neared the castle grounds where there were other guards waving at them welcoming them back. "I have never seen anyone as white as her, she is like the snow that I have heard of" stated Naoya. "Don't tell me your hormones are acting up" said Sango as she got down from her horse. "Of course not!" stated Naoya with a blush. "I just thought she was very beautiful that is all, She nothing but a noble who understands nothing," stated Naoya. Sango sighed. "Well at least now we have a fighting chance," said Sango. "Without this noble our blood lines will be erased just like the others" stated Naoya.

He got down from his horse, he knew how the people of his kingdom were feeling, their very existence was being threatened and only those with the god given power could save them. As the time changed so did the earth, her will to live was becoming weaker and weaker, her beauty slowly fading into something even more beautiful but tragic. He shook of the feeling he had to be strong for his people looked up to him for strength and support. He looked down at the girl in his arms. *I just hope you are able to do what a noble Priestess can do* he thought his golden eyes in a tired cloud.

"Your highness is she the one?" asked one of the guards. "Yes" he stated. "Her beauty it is just as if she was a nymph of the forest" said another. He chuckled at his men's curiosity with this certain female, but he himself had to admit that she could as well take the name of the most beautiful. He shook his head; he had no time to think of such things as he headed towards the meeting room where the monk waited. Sango and He entered the large room decorated to look as elegant as it gets in the corner was a man sitting drinking tea. "I see you have finally returned," he stated. "Yes" he said. The man looked up with a smile, he was no older then 20 and he had the robes of a monk. "Have you brought the other Priest?" asked the monk. "Actually we bought a woman but that doesn't mean that you can touch her!" said Sango. He smiled and nodded as he waited to see the face of this Priestess. He placed her on the mat next to the soft pillows that were present there. As soon as he sat back, he heard a gasp, and a loud one at that.

"You kidnapped the Priestess of the four souls?" asked the monk with wide eyes. "Huh? What are you talking about?" asked Sango. "Is this not the Priestess that was residing in the kingdom of Fu-ichi-gatsu (November)?" asked Sango. "No of course it isn't!" exclaimed the monk. "Then who is this?" he asked. "She is the Priestess of the prophases! She is the one who will save the earth from her own destruction, I can feel her magic" stated the monk. "Then what the hell was she doing in the kingdom?" asked Sango. "She is the cousin of the Priestess that you were to bring here, I know off them very well," stated the monk. "This is bad, now we have to kidnap again?" asked Naoya. "So it seems, we will have to return her," said Sango. "Are you guys out of your minds!?" asked the monk. "What are you saying, if she is not the one then she should be returned" said Sango. "No she will be more then enough! She has immense power, with her at my side there is no doubt that we can save this kingdom" said the monk. "Oh thank the gods, I thought I would have to head out again" said Naoya.

"I must say she grew up quite well" said the monk with a smile. "Wait you know her?" asked Sango. "Yes it was in her father's care did I become a monk, my father was a good friends with her father" stated the monk. "I find this whole situation confusing but as long as our land is safe" said Naoya. "I'm tired I will retire if that's ok" stated Sango. "Go ahead" he stated. "Thank you and you should get some rest as well" she said walking through the door. "It seems that our path has crossed again" said the monk with a smile. "Inu-yasha I hope that you know what this ritual could do" started the monk. "Miroku don't tell me the consequences now, I'm too close to-" Inu-yasha was cut off but the monk. "Losing it all! I told you before that this ritual might endanger your life, and not only your but those who are performing it as well, I don't fear for myself, but now that Kagome is in the picture you will have to think deeper of what you are about to do" Miroku said. "Her name is Ka-go-me?" asked Inu-yasha. Miroku nodded. "Her name means a type of bamboo weave" said Inu-yasha. "Yes, she is strong as the bamboo she is named after" stated Miroku. "But what is odd is that why was she in the Kingdom of Fu-ichi-gatsu (November)?" asked Miroku. "It is her cousin why wouldn't she be there?" asked Inu-yasha.

"No you don't understand I know Lord Higurashi will never allow her out of the temple let alone travel 20,000 miles to see her cousin" said Miroku. "So they had her locked up?" asked Inu-yasha. Miroku nodded. "It wasn't that they were locking her in it was that she needed to spend her time learning all the chants and spells in order to pray to the gods" stated Miroku. "They had her locked up" said Inu-yasha. Miroku sighed. "I suppose she went on one of her ranting before her father decided to let her have a vacation" said Miroku. Inu-yasha nodded. "I guess the ditzy one is the priestess that we were looking for" he said. "Yes that is Sana, she is the daughter of the king, and cousin to Kagome" said Miroku. "So her blood line expends beyond that of her clan?" asked Inu-yasha. "Yes the Higurashi clan has been around for a while now, with each new leader it grows stronger and its lineage becomes longer. My father and I were part of Kagome's clan as well, we carried the blood of Kaze" said Miroku. "The wind?" asked Inu-yasha. "There is a god for every corner of the universe, but also for each hemisphere of the earth, there is the north, south, east, and west in between those gods, is the god of the wind that looks to the future. Both my father and I possessed that power, and we were welcomed into the clan" said Miroku.

"So what happened?" asked Inu-yasha. "My father gave his life to protect the Higurashi clan to which he vowed and I became aware of just how weak I was. I trained with Lord Higurashi and then set out on my own. Kagome was one of the few people who even cared that I existed, even if the clan was loyal it wasn't always a very loving place" stated Miroku. "I see" said Inu-yasha. "It's just so strange how the fate works, I can control the wind from my right hand, yet I feel cursed that it was put upon me" said Miroku. "Living is a curse now, the fact that everyday you must live in fear for another one of your people might die for your weakness" stated Inu-yasha. "You have a lot to bear and I do feel for you my friend I wish that I could help you" said Miroku with a small smile. Inu-yasha sighed. "It seems that no matter how hard I try to do half the job that my father did I fail, even Sesshoumaru has more control then I do" said Inu-yasha.

"Your older brother the ruler of the western side of this land" said Miroku. Inu-yasha nodded. There was an awkward silence before they heard a small moan. Miroku looked towards Kagome and so did Inu-yasha. "Stop it! Leave them alone" she yelled. Miroku looked at Inu-yasha and he nodded. "Kagome wake up" said Miroku shaking her lightly. "Kagome" he said. She opened her eyes and saw the face of her old time friend. "Miroku? No it couldn't be" she said. "No it is I, Miroku" he said pulling her into a sitting position. "Where am I? Where is this place? And what the hell are you doing here Miroku?" asked Kagome. "You are currently in the Kingdom of Kin (gold), this is in the middle of the desert and I am here to help the king" said Miroku. Kagome sat with a glare. "Why did you bring me here?" she asked. "We meant to bring Sana here but instead we got you" said Miroku with a stupid smile. Kagome had vines popping out. "Miroku!" she said. "Ok Kagome don't get excited" said Miroku trying to calm her down.

"Miroku I want to go home to where I belong! I don't care why you brought me here!" stated Kagome. "You don't have a say in that" said Inu-yasha. She turned to face the man she didn't notice in her panic. *it's him! The man with the golden eyes, why doesn't he show his face?* She thought. "Inu-yasha just give her some time to understand the situation," stated Miroku. Inu-yasha stood, this eyes looking down at Kagome with intensity. "I have an obligation to my people that I must follow, she will do for now" said Inu-yasha as he headed out the door. Kagome looked towards Miroku with confusion written on her face. "Miroku?" she asked. "Kagome you must not see this as a kidnapping for they seek your help and nothing more" stated Miroku. "What do you mean? What can I do?" asked Kagome. "This kingdom will perish without you" he stated. "What are you saying? With out me? How?" she asked. "Kagome I think you should sleep now, in the morning we shall talk with Inu-yasha, now just come into my arms and rest" said Miroku. Kagome shook her head. "Miroku do you think I'm stupid, after all we did grow up together" she said with her arms folded over her chest. Miroku rubbed the back of his neck and started to laugh. "I guess there you have a point" he said. Inu-yasha stood by the door with a smile. She was proving to be more then interesting. Kagome stood.

"I want to talk to the king so where is he?" asked Kagome. "Kagome you should really sleep, from what I understand you were given a sleeping potions and out witted it" said Miroku. "That wasn't made right, I knew that it wasn't, but I drank it anyway. Miroku I have been having nightmares...they are frightening and I know that father is hiding something. Likie had a vision...Miroku she's going to die" said Kagome with tears at the corner of her eyes. "No!" exclaimed. "Likie had a vision and when I went to inform father he sent me away to Sana's" said Kagome. "Likie...I see so everything is falling into place, but Inu-yasha kidnapping could change things" said Miroku. "Huh?" asked Kagome. "When Inu-yasha went there he went with the intention of getting a Priestess or a Priest with noble blood, and that would have been Sana but he confused you for her. Which means that Likie's vision might change its course" said Miroku. "Do you really think it will?" asked Kagome. "Only one way to find out if you stay here and see this through things could change" said Miroku. "I know what you're trying to do and that's very noble of you but I really need to be with Likie" said Kagome. Miroku nodded. "I understand but at least talk to the king and find out why he seeks your help" said Miroku. Kagome sighed and nodded. "If I feel that it is truly important then I will stay and assist" said Kagome. "Thank you Kagome" said Miroku. "Only because I want Likie to live" said Kagome.

"I'm going to look around this place, no worries I won't try and get away" said Kagome with a smile. She walked out and looked around the beautiful palace. Her own home was very elegant and beautiful but this palace of the Kin kingdom was beautiful, with deep carvings into the walls, the sheer curtains flying with the cool breeze coming through the large bay windows. She stepped through the doors and onto the balcony. "It's beautiful out here so much different from home...oh mama" she said softly. "I was anger with you and now I might now see you ever again" she said quietly. "Were not going to keep you here for the rest of your life" said Inu-yasha coming to stand next to her. She looked up at him, his face covered from the eyes down, all she could see was a little of the silver hair and his stunning golden eyes. "Who are you?" asked Kagome softly. She didn't understand why she felt all strange inside standing next to him. "I am Inu-yasha the King of the Kin Kingdom of the eastern desert land" said Inu-yasha looking ahead. "You're the king?" asked Kagome. He looked at her. "Is that so hard to believe?" he asked. "Well umm ahaha never mind you might get mad if I say it" said Kagome waving it off. "No tell me what" he asked. "You don't look like a king more like a boy wrapped up in clothe" she said giggling. Inu-yasha had veins popping up. This couldn't be happening he thought. Kagome smiled.
*Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought it to be* she thought.
