The rain

 

The girl slowly began to walk in the rain and silently smiled to herself. Her red eyes were vibrant in the rain. She was walking home from school when a bunch of boys ran out of the bushes and huddled around her. “Hey freak!” They yelled. She just looked down and said nothing. “Hey I am talking to you!” They began to push her. “Leave me alone please”.... Was all she said. The leader of the group went up to her and pushed her down. Talk to them when they are talking to you higurashi. She got up and ran all the way home and cried on her rag.

Her whole life was all miserable. She thought that her life was base on one true song “nobody's home”. She practically grew up on the streets with no one to take care of her. She was about 10 when she found out her dad died in a shoot out a block away from where she slept. 2 years later her mom found her fighting with demons and they scratched her up badly, she was screaming for mercy but they would not stop. So she took her in and took care of her. So now she lives with her mom.

~A month after she found her mom

Wake up kagome.

“OK!” She yelled. She ran down with her baggy pants and a black T-shirt that had Edward sizzerhands on it. “Gotta go! By mom, love yea.” She ran out and ran to school. Her boyfriend ran up to her but she caught a scent of a girl scent mixed with his. She stopped dead in her tracks. She looked at him with angry eyes. “Who is she?!” “W.What are you talking about”...”you know”. Her eyes were getting red. She sniffed again. “AYAME!!!!” She ran up to him and pushed him down hard and yelled: “WE ARE THREWW!!!” He got mad, got up and he grabbed her. He slapped her hard on the face and she looked at him with sad eyes. He spotted tears forming in her eyes. She ran all the way to school. She walked fast when she got to school. Everybody was looking at her like she was deformed. A popular guy came walking thrue the hallway and ran into her. She fell and he saw her. He saw a slap mark on her and her eyes where red (like after you cry they get red and puffy). He laughed and she just looked at the ground and cried softly to herself. She went into the bathroom, dried up her eyes and went to class. After class was over she went behind the school to lounge in her “tree”. She called it her tree ever since she was 5. Every time she had a break she would go over to the tree and think on the branches. She jumped up on the tree but accidentally landed on somebody!

 

It was Inuyasha, he was sleeping but she had awoken him. “Ummmm...whoops?” He was mad now. Get off me you klutz. She went up one branch but glared at him. “Can you please get out of my seat? “”No.” “Please?”” No.” Her eyes glowed bright red and she lifted him with her eyes closed and mad him fall. She sat down on her branch. He glared at her and jumped up again. She was sitting there with her eyes closed. He was on the edge and he picked her up bridal style and dropped her on the branch below it and landed on her but and she got mad. She stood up and grabbed his arm, threw him and jumped on the branch. Since he is stubborn he jumped on the branch but his foot landed on her arm, she screamed and she stood up with tears forming in her eyes. He looked at her curiously.

 

She cradled her arm and didn't look at him. She jumped off the branch and ran strait to school. Since he was also a very curious he followed her. She was in the gym and she pulled up her sleeve and there was cut marks. His eyes widened and she smelled his scent. “What do u want Inuyasha? You wanna step on my arm again?” He walked up to her and gently grabbed her wrist. “Why do you do this?!” “Why do you need to know”. “Because I just do”. “OK, so the boy who always was mean to me as a kid and still is mean wants to know why I do something?” She pulled down her sleeve and started walking out the gym. “No thank you Dr. Phil.” He just stood there looking at her. She ran to the tree and sat and started resting. The bell rang and she started walking to her science class. “Hey class!” Said their teacher Mr. Moses. Class since the principle Mr. Myoga wants us to get to know each other I am going to assign partners and you must right down notes about your partner and they will do the same. “OK lets see um...Sango and Miroku.” Sango banged her head on her desk and whispered “I had to get the perve”. Miroku smiled like he was in heaven and kept on smirking at Sango. “Naraku and Kikyo and Inuyasha and Kagome”. He said the others name but she was not paying attention. She frowned and looked at Inuyasha. He was laughing and talking to Miroku. He glanced at kagome who was just drawing in her notebook.

 

`This must be murder for her to be partners with me.... Oh well!' He said in his mind. School ended and she went to her branch and climbed up the tree. She sighed and closed her eyes to think. She felt someone staring at her so she opened her eyes and saw Inuyasha in front of her and staring at her. “What do you want?” “I want you to be nice to me”. “Well how can I be nice to you are always being mean to me”.

“Well we need to get this done. OK wanna go to my house or yours?” “Mine.” She jumped out of the tree but she tripped on a twig and fell and was about to hit the ground but she felt warm arms around her waist. But for some weird reason she felt safe. He let go of her and they started walking to his house. “So, Kagome...you never answered my question.” “What was your question?” “Why do you cut”. “Because I am having a miserable life and I need something to numb the pain”. “You know how bad that is?!” “I am willing to take that chance”. While they were walking to his house when Kikyo stopped them. “Hi Inuyasha. Hi Goth.” Kagome rolled her eyes. “So Inuyasha I feel so bad for you”. “Why?” “Because you have to work with her.” She pointed at kagome and kagome gave her the death glare. “Ummmm...why is that “thing” looking at me like that”? “Because I can.” Kagome said coldly. Kikyo cracked her knuckles and walked up to kagome. “You better watch your back”. Kagome pushed her back. “You better not get in my face again or I will do “it” again”. Kikyo smirked. “OK, then we will see how tuff you are know since you have a new raggedy mom.” Kagome was about to punch Kikyo but she was holding her fist behind her back. Inuyasha saw it and smirked. “Fine Kikyo. Tomorrow at lunch. And don't wimp out”. “Oh I won't.” Kagome pushed her back more and stared deep within Kikyo's eyes and gave her a mean look. Kikyo just rolled her eyes and smirked. “Bye bye Inuyasha”. She gave him a kiss on the cheek and smiled at Kagome. As she walked away kagome started walking towards her ready to punch but Inuyasha held her back.

 

Inuyasha was smiling as he held her back. She stopped and he let her go. “Why you hold me back?” “Because you can beat her up tomorrow right now we have to talk”. “OK.” They walked into a manchian. Kagome's eyes widened when they entered the home. Everywhere was stairs and things that would cost a million dollars.

She was lost in her daze. “Kagome? KAGOME!” She snapped out and saw Inuyasha up the stairs. Come on. She smiled and followed him. When she walked into his room it was like her own little wonderland. Every was black. Black satin bed sheets, black walls and a matching black and red carpet. “This is heaven!” She walked around and Inuyasha sat on the bed. “I thought that since you are popular you like white and stuff.” “Well I used to be gothic. Wow, what would you look like Goth?” He got a picture of him and a man. Wow. She kept on examining the picture. `Wow he looks cute Goth!' She said in her mind. “Who is that?” “That is my dad.” “Where is he?” “He is in heaven”. “Oh I am sorry Inuyasha”. “It's OK”. She got out her notebook. And her pen. He noticed all her little doodles and some cartoons. “So do you want me to right down things about you or do you want to do that about me.” “Hm...What about you”. Um sure. She put the notebook and pen down.

“What do you want to know about?” “About your childhood.” She froze. Inuyasha noticed and put his hand on her shoulder. “You OK?” “Yeah it's just that my childhood was HE (double hockey sticks)” “do you wanna talk about it?” “I guess.” She sighed. “OK when I was born... he started writing down things in his binder. We weren't very rich so we ended up being poor. My mom left me and my dad when I was 2. We thought she died. After that we stayed at my dad's friends apartment. That didn't work out. So then we lived on the streets. When I was 5 I met you and remember we were best friends until you started a gang and left me out we got in that huge fight and you started treating me like crap. When I was 10 I came home from the library and you stalked me and when I went to a place I sleep my dad wasn't there. Some drunken guy came up to me and told me he was in a shoot out and he got shot 10 times cause of me.” Inuyasha stopped writing and put his hand on hers. “You still wanna talk cause we can stop.” “No it's OK.” “When I was eleven I met Kikyo. Bad idea. I got in a huge fight with her. I won but then she told everyone I lost. When I was 12 I got in a fight with a youkai and I got scratched up badly so a woman took care of me. Turns out she was my mom so I started living with her. And that is my childhood. OK I think we can stop here. See yea tomorrow.” She grabbed her things and started walking out

 

 

 

When she got home. She told her mom why she was late and went to her room. “Why did Inuyasha stop being Goth? I bet we could have understood each other better”. She slowly drifted off to sleep. The next day she got up and but on black baggy Jnko jeans with zippers. And a shirt that had an evil cat on it and it said, “my cat can beat up your dog.” She kissed her mom bye and walked out. To her surprise she saw Inuyasha. “Um... How do you know where I live?” “I don't know.” Are you stalking me?” “No”... “Right”. They started walking to school. Inuyasha looked up and saw a rainbow. “Do you wanna come to my house today?” Kagome asked. “Sure”. “Inuyasha, Do you have a brother?” “Yeah, why”. “Well does he was purple streaks on his cheeks and a moon on his forehead?” “Yeah.” “Thought so.” “Why did you want to know?” “My friend goes out with him. I thought you and him looked alike”. They walked up the school stairs. “You have a friend?” “Yeah but she lives in Washington. I IM her a lot and we talk...sometimes.” “Cool.” they walked in and went into their classes. At lunch she ate. She stood up and looked around for Kikyo. She was talking with her friends. Kikyo looked at her and smirked. She told her friends to follow her. When Kikyo was standing in front of her she smiled. A guy yelled “girl fight”. “After you.” Kagome said annoyingly. Kikyo punched her in the stomach but kagome blocked. Kagome grabbed her and punched her face 5 times. And Kikyo had a bloody nose. Kagome under punched her jaw and Kikyo punched kagome eye and kagome fell. She crouched and hit Kikyo's ankle to make her fall. Kagome stood up and pulled up Kikyo by her hair and threw her on the ground. Kikyo screamed and she grabbed Kagome's arm and smacked her. Kagome punched Kikyo's eyes and made her pass out. “Don't you ever mess with me”. Kagome smirked and walked away. The crowd was applauding her. She ignored them. Inuyasha came up to her. “Wow good job”. She laughed lightly. “Well either way she wasn't going to win”. Kagome touched her eye. She had a black eye. “Oww!” She stopped and just stood there. “How am I supposed to explain a black eye to my mom”? “Just say someone jacked you”. “Well...OK”. She jumped up into her tree. Inuyasha jumped up also and landed above her. “Kagome? Do you have any friends?” “No. Why?” “Just wondering.” “Do you wanna be my friend, Inuyasha?” “Um...sure.” “Yay I have a new friend.” She looked up and smiled at Inuyasha. “I like your T-shirt.” “Thanks, I lie your ears.” “I like your smile”. She smiled and blushes slightly but it was unnoticeable. Inuyasha saw it and smiled. `Wow I made her blush', he said in his mind. “When do you wanna go to my house?” “Um... after school?” “Well I have to go somewhere”. “Well I will go with you”. “OK, but if you barf at blood then you aren't coming”. “Blood?” “I need to go see my aunt that I just met and help her with her blood donation thing. Maybe you could help?” “OK”. They went to class with Mr. Moses and told him about stuff about Kagome (but not the sad stuff). After that they went to art class. “Hello class!” Said their teacher Ms. Kaguya. “I want you to draw a picture of a happy memory. It can be due tomorrow or today.” Luckily Inuyasha was in all of her classes so know she has someone to talk to. She got a piece of paper and started drawing on her canvas. Inuyasha pulled his canvas up to hers and saw what she was drawing. “Whatcha drawing?” “I don't know right now I am just sketching and trying to think up a idea.... Wait, now I know what to draw”! Inuyasha started drawing and drew a picture of him and his family. Kagome was just about done while she added the last piece of clothing (it is in black and white). She brought it up in the front of the class and presented it. It was a picture of a little girl and a boy playing tag. “This is was me and Inuyasha when we were younger. We always played tag.” She smiled and Inuyasha laughed lightly and put a thumb up. She gave it to Ms. Kaguya and the teacher clapped. “Very nice! I love the detailing. A+.” Kagome walked back to her seat and looked at Inuyasha's picture. “Wow this is nice.” She looked at the features. “Who is that women?” “That's my mom.” “She is very beautiful.” “Thanks.” “Was this when you were younger?” “Yes when me and Sesshomaru got along”. She looked at him but he was frowning. “What's the matter?” “It's just that this was the only time I got to hang out with my mom and dad before”... `Before what? He went up to her ear and whispered “murdered” she put her hands on her mouth. “Oh Inuyasha?!” She hugged him. “Are you OK?” “Yeah I will be fine.” “I need to talk to you at the tree after class OK?” “OK.” She stopped and sat down and made doodles in her notebook. After class Kagome met up with Inuyasha at the tree. “What do you need to talk about?” “Everything. First off. How could you not feel bad about “it”? “Because I feel if I just bottle it up inside it ill go away.” Well it won't.” She put her hand on his shoulder. “If you need a shoulder to cry on, just tell me.” She looked into his eyes and gave him a light hug. He wrapped his arms around her. She smiled. He gave her a tiny kiss on the cheek and she completely blushed. She smiled and they stopped hugging. “Well we better get going. I bet I could beat you there!” They both raced to the blood donor's place. Inuyasha won. “You cheated!” “LOL no I didn't!” “OK fine. Hi Kagura. This is my friend Inuyasha.” “Hey kagome. Hi Inuyasha. So kagome ready to start packing the blood?” “Sure. Inuyasha come on.” Kagura grabbed a few bags of blood. “Can you guys put these in the freezer?” Sure.” They did as they were told and Inuyasha and kagome went to her house. While they were walking there was a dead silence. “So Inuyasha...are you doing anything this weekend?” “No”. “Wanna come hang out at my house? And probably catch a movie?” “Cool”. She smiled and she put her hand bye his and they held hands on the way to Kagome's house. When they went into the house her mom was in the kitchen. “Mom I'm home.” “OK.” “This is my friend Inuyasha”. Kagome's mom noticed the hand and gave kagome a look. Kagome noticed and they stopped holding each other's hands. “We have to “study” each other.” “OK. Well Inuyasha would you like to stay for dinner?” “Sure!” Kagome walked Inuyasha up to her room. “Wow, nice room.” “Thanks”. The room had white bed sheets and unique silver and white walls. “I thought you had like black and red stuff”. “Well like you I used to be popular until people were treating me like I was nothing and so I stopped. Inuyasha? Why did you stop being Goth?” “Because people always taunt me bout being different and I just couldn't take it anymore so the next day I came as a prep.” “Well if you want my opinion you looked better as a Goth.” She whispered. Inuyasha heard her and blushed.

 

“So Inuyasha tell me about your childhood. “OK. When I was born my mom died. So my dad had to take care of me. Same as you”. She smiled and kept on writing. “Well when I was growing up everybody hated me cause I was a hanyou. They would call me “filthy half breed” and other mean names. Well I just grew onto it and let it just be normal. When I was 4 I met Kikyo. I had my first kiss with her but then I found out she kisses a lot of boys so I just left her. When I was 5 I met you. And you were nicer to me then anybody. You treated me like a human!” She laughed lightly but continued. “Well when I was 9 I started a gang and hung out with them for a while. I got in a fight with you and we stopped being friends. When I was 10 that day I stalked you well I found out my dad had to go to war and Sesshy took care of me. “When I was twelve I heard my dad died and then I turned Goth. That is my child hood.” She smiled and finished writing. “Well know our fathers in heaven can hang out with each other.” She wen t behind him and put her chin on his head. “So Whatcha wanna do?” “I don't know. Wanna go play tag?” She laughed and smiled a bright smile. `God I love her smile.' He said in his mind. They raced out of the house after kagome told her mom. They went to where they used to play tag all the time. “So Inuyasha now that we are here let me have the honor to say...your it!” She poked him and ran. He laughed and chased after her. He finally caught up to her and poked her back. “Your it.” He ran away behind a tree. She looked around and sniffed. She looked behind herself and she found him. She pounced at him and poked him. “Your it!” She ran into a field of cherry blossoms. She smiled and looked around. Inuyasha went into a tree to try to find her. He found her looking at cherry blossoms. He came up with an evil idea. While she was looking around he ran up behind her and tackled her! They both rolled in the grass and laughed. They landed side bye side. He sat up and looked at her. She was smiling and she sat up also. They looked into each other's eyes and their faces inched closer and closer and closer. There face where 1 inch away from each other when suddenly it thundered and ran poured down from the sky and a bolt of lightning struck in-between them and they went flying in the air. Kagome land a few feet away from it and so did Inuyasha. Kagome laughed a big laugh and went to Inuyasha. “Wow that's never happened before.” She and Inuyasha were soaking wet now. They jumped into a tree and were sitting in front of each other. “So what do you think of that?!” Inuyasha was still shocked at what happened. “We almost died!” “Well yeah. But the good news is I could've died with my best friend”. Inuyasha smiled and sat closer to her. “What's the matter?” Inuyasha went closer to her face. She did that also. They did it for a few seconds. Until they were an inch away. She smiled and then they did it...they kissed! They pulled back and both of them were blushing like crazy. Kagome sat beside him and kissed him on the cheek. She wrapped her arms around him. Her eyes closed as she drifted to sleep.
