-Chapter 3: Dinner-

Kagome went to the bar and found Sesshoumaru. When he stared at her, she felt uneasy.

"You know, staring is impolite."

"…" He still stared.

"Hello?" She waved her hand in front of his face.

"You took a half hour longer than I expected. Luckily, I only reserved for 11 am. We still have an hour and a half over."

"What?"

"I wonder if you would be here a half hour ago, would you look uglier or prettier."

"Argh! Sesshoumaru!"

"Yes? What's the matter?"

"The matter is you!"

Sesshoumaru only smirked. Suddenly his smirk disappeared and he frowned. He was staring again. However, not at her. Kagome followed his gaze, and it leaded to the glass ball at her necklace. She clutched it with a death grip. A shock went trough Kagome's body.

He, he has a youkai aura! Why did I not notice before? He probably wants the Shikon! I have to protect it!

You ask yourself why you did not notice? You were to busy with looking at him, you dimwit!

What? Oh no, not you again?

Yes, it is I again! I am you remember? Moreover, I said I was going to come back later. So do not complain and shut your mouth.

Oh! Why won't you just go away and never come back? I hate you!

To bad! I'm you! Therefore, you hate yourself, and I can't go away!

Argh! Just, go away!!!

Fine, but I will come back!

And with that, the voice was gone. Now, someone else was speaking to himself…

It's very handy if you can read minds. So she knows I'm youkai. Fine to me, that way, I don't have to explain myself later. But she is quite a strange one; she talks to herself a lot. Kagome, Kagome, little Kagome, you are so strange, but normal. You are beautiful, but…HEY! When did I say beautiful? I think I'm going crazy.

Duh! You are crazy!

Who are you?

I'm you!

That is not possible; I, Sesshoumaru, am not crazy and I do not act like you!

That's because I'm the better part of you! You should stop working so hard! If I didn't know better, I'd say you had taken drugs or something! You work all night! It's good that your father planned this! A month without work! And you can get married to a girl! Think of it, she's a beauty! I wonder how she is in…

Don't go that way! I, Sesshoumaru, will not think in such a matter!

Yeah right, and I'm a saint. Anyways, see you later! Have to go! Enjoy yourself on your date!

Yeah, yeah! Now go! Leave me alone and never come back!

I will come back later!

And with that, the voice was gone (again). Kagome was staring at him. And it wasn't friendly. She looked quite angry.

"Why are you staring at me?" He asked.

"You know, it's not polite to read somebody's mind!"

"So why do you did it?"

"I didn't."

"Then, how can you know if I readed your mind or not?"

"I can hear your thoughts, you're thinking so loudly! It's strange nobody else hears your thoughts!"

"You can hear my thoughts?" He asked surprised.

"Duh, I'm am miko! And I'm a seer. I don't even have to do efforts to read somebody's mind; I already hear everybody's mind!"

"Oh, is that so?"

"Yeah! So stop reading my mind!"

"And why should I, Sesshoumaru, the son of Inu Taisho and future lord of the Western lands, listen to you, a mere human?"

"I am not a mere human, and you know it!"

And she began a mind conversation. (`_' is Kagome, "_" is Sesshoumaru. And for people who are wondering, in my story, only Kagome and powerful full blood youkai can read thoughts. And don't forget seers, but I don't think there will be other seers in my story)

-Mind conversation-

"What will you do against me, wench? You can't do anything, until you marry my HALF-brother or me. Our father and your mother made sure of that."

`I will do nothing, as long as you don't harm me. I'm the protector of the Shikon not Tama, and not a mere human.'

"I already know that, wench."

`Stop calling me wench!'

"Ok, bitch."

`I'm not a bitch either, asshole!'

"How dare you! I, Sesshoumaru, am not an asshole!"

`Will you stop it already?'

"Stop with what?"

`With that `I, Sesshoumaru, bla bla'

"I will do what I want, and it is not your business."

`Yeah, yeah, whatever, will we go now?'

"Well, well, you are quite the impatient one."

`Now am I?'

"We still have a half hour."

`A half hour?! I can't spend and half hour with you like this!'

"Then stop it."
'Well, if I stop it, what will I do then?'

"I don't know, and it doesn't matter to me."

`Whatever.'

And the mind conversation continued. They argued for another fifteen minutes. If anyone would come in, it would seem Kagome and Sesshoumaru were staring at each other. Sesshoumaru looked calm, had his emotionless mask on, as always, and was icy. Kagome was the total opposite. You could see every emotion flicker on her face. You could also feel tension hanging in the air. It was a weird scene. Sadly, of all persons, Inu Yasha had to walk in. He was the only one who wouldn't pay attention at the tension in the air.

"Oi, what are you to dimwits staring at? You're looking more stupid than normal. Oi, wench, Ka-something, what are you staring at?"

No response came. He waved his hand in front of his or her eyes, but no one reacted. Suddenly he saw the glass ball, hanging on Kagome's neck.

Shikon not Tama?! Inu Yasha thought.

He tried to touch it, and catch it at the same time, but he hit on something.

A barrier? This isn't hers, is it?

Suddenly, he felt a ki, and when he looked up, he saw it belonged to Kagome.

Wow! She has a strong aura! But, wait a minute! The barrier is hers! But, then, she is the Shikons protector! I need to get to her, make her fall in love with me, then I can marry her, and later I can get my hands on that jewel! Then, I can become a full blooded…' His couldn't finish his thought, because Sesshoumaru interrupted them.

"Well, if it isn't my precious little brother?"

"Cut it with the crap. Besides, you're only a fucking minute older than me!"

"Well, well, if I were you, I would close that potty mouth of yours and go upstairs to wash it with soap. You can be glad, because if Rin was here, I would throw you to your room, and let you eat a ton of soap."

"Keh, you care too much for that little twit than you should do. If they find out that the `mighty' Sesshoumaru has a weak spot, they will…"

He couldn't finish his sentence, because on that moment, he flew trough the window. The glass broke in a million pieces.

"Oh my god! Sesshoumaru! What is he's dead?"

"Shut up bitch, he'll be fine. Besides, I've warned him before."

"I have a name, you know! Kagome! Not wench nor bitch nor something else! Kagome! KA-GO-ME! Use it!"

Suddenly, someone came in flying, and lunged at Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru just dodged it. The person and Sesshoumaru stood still. Then, Kagome saw it, it was a demon, no, a hanyou. He had snow-white ears on his head that were fluffy and were twitching. He also had fangs and claws. Sesshoumaru had two magenta stripes on each cheek and a blue crescent moon on his forehead. Kagome was confused.

Inu Yasha is a hanyou, but Sesshoumaru is a full-blooded youkai? That's impossible, they are twins!

Kagome had a hard time figuring it out, so she decided to let it pass, and ask Sesshoumaru or Inu Yasha. When she looked for the two brothers, she saw they were fighting. And they were very quick. A normal eye would only see flashes of red (Inu has a red shirt on) and flashes of white (Fluffy has a white shirt on). Then, all of sudden, they heard a cry, and the door flung open.

"Sesshoumaru-sama!"

"Rin? Did you have another nightmare again?" Sesshoumaru picked her up.

"Hai, Sesshoumaru-sama. I dreamed that wolves attacked everyone here and that a person comes in and take pretty woman Kagome with him. He had blue eyes, black hair in a high ponytail, and he said his name was Kouma or something. He also said he was getting his woman back."

"Very well."

"Why do you always ask her dreams or nightmares?" Inu Yasha interrupted.

"In case you haven't noticed, Rin her dreams always come true. Like that time that her teacher flew on fire."

"Oh…"

"Now, where's Kagome?"

Kagome was looking in the distance.

"K…Kou…ga…Kouga…Why?"

"So you also know that Rin her dreams and nightmares come true?" Sesshoumaru asked her.

She just stared straight ahead.

"He's coming for me…To take me back…But I don't want to go back with him…" Her voice was barely a whisper. Tears were leaking from her eyes, and coming down her face. Sesshoumaru stepped in front of her.

"Kagome, who is this Kouga-guy, and why does he want you?"

She didn't answer him. Instead, she looked to the ground, clasped the Shikon in her hand with a death grip and sobbed. She looked up at Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru was surprised, instead of the anger he had expected, he saw tears, sadness, loneness, and a broken hart.

"He wants my heart…it's special…but he already had my heart…he broke it…stamped on it…and cut it…then he gave it back…all of this…happened…2 years ago…at this hotel"

She did not know why she told him all of this, but she just wanted to tell somebody. Suddenly, she felt like all the power and energy she had was draining away from her. She felt overcome by dizziness and black space. She struggled, but finally, she let sleep claim her, but, was it sleep? She collapsed on the ground. She had fainted.

"Those weak girls…always trouble…" Inu Yasha began. Sesshoumaru shot him a glare, picked Kagome up, and went to bring her to her room.
