The Injury

Kagome jumped on her bike, and began pedaling. School had been dismissed, but Kagome was still thinking about lunch. She was trying desperately to think up excuses for Koga, with little achievement. Drat! I can't think of anything. Curse that Koga! And curse that stupid InuYasha for butting in!
Kagome thought her curses so violently in her head, that she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. She didn't even notice the stop sign that rushed to meet her. But she was snapped out of her thoughts when her bike crashed, and Kagome bonked her head on the sign. The last thing she saw was something white and red looming over her, as her vision went fuzzy.
When Kagome came to, she was lying in something soft, and warm. Her head was throbbing loudly, and painfully, and she felt dizzy as she opened her eyes.
She was in InuYasha's room. She heard a creak, and sat up to see InuYasha in his computer chair. He was typing rapidly, occasionally grinning, and he seemed consumed in his work. Kagome got out of bed, and walked over to the chair.
“Whatcha writing?” At the sound of her voice right behind him, InuYasha jumped in surprise. He had been so engrossed in his work, that he hadn't been listening to the sounds in the room, although his hearing was much better than hers. But he quickly recovered from his surprise, and covered the computer screen with his hand.
“Nothing! Nothing at all! I'm glad to see you up and about. You took quite a fall. I saw you lying next to this stop sign on my way home, and I thought that since you weren't too far from my house, I could take you here and help you.” Kagome looked at InuYasha curiously. When had he started being Mr. Helpful?
“Um, thanks, InuYasha, but I, um, need to call my mom.”
“No prob. I already called her and explained the situation to her. She said that you should stay the night, because she has the car in the workshop, and your bike's kinda wrecked. And since it's Friday, and not a school night, I could just drop you off at your house tomorrow.”
Wow. He handled everything. Well, I guess it would be okay to stay over. After all, he's my friend. So Kagome sat on the bed, as InuYasha went back to typing. She noticed that his rosary was off, and that his appearance had changed a little.
For one thing, he had claws, and as he typed, she could hear them clicking against the keys. He also had longer hair, which was also lighter in coloring.
But the thing she noticed most about his appearance, were the two pointed furry ears, that perched on top of his head. They twitched slightly, and Kagome tried to suppress an urge to tweak them. But though she tried, the urge wouldn't go away.
Slowly she crept up on InuYasha, finally grabbing the ears between her fingers. They felt soft and fuzzy, and they bent beneath her touch. InuYasha let out a snort, while trying to smother his laughter.
“Ya know, that tickles.” InuYasha complained. Kagome got a mischievous look in her eye once he said it.
“Tickles, you say?” With that Kagome launched herself on InuYasha, tickling under his arms.
InuYasha became breathless with laughter, but as soon as Kagome paused her torture, he struck. With his claws he could tickle her with a lot less effort. Soon she could barely stand it. She felt like she would die right there, on InuYasha's floor, with InuYasha sitting doggy style at her feet, while tickling her sides.
Suddenly InuYasha lost his balance. Kagome never could remember how exactly it happened, but one moment InuYasha was tickling her…
The next moment he had fallen on top of her, with his lips touching hers.
