The sun was setting. Inuyasha and Kagome had been travelling around. He had been too stubborn to give in to Kagome's suggestion of the famous Taisho Corp. Kagome had finally gave up and leaned back to relax. When she awoke from her deep slumber, Kagome had suddenly recalled that they have left the twins with Mrs. Higurashi and that she had promised to be back before sundown. Although Mrs. Higurashi was, she knew, very excited to to baby-sit the kids but she knows that they're hard to comply with. Besides, it's the hanyou senses she's afraid of. At any point of time when they hear or smell something disturbing, they'll cry until they get transfered to the other side. Miroku and Sango could help of course but . . . they'll be busy working and Kagome would hate to disturb them. It's a good thing it's not a new moon anyway. They'd cry and howl, even taking them to the feudal era doesn't help. Inuyasha had said it was the lack in security. Kagome had been giving Inuyasha the cold shoulder ever since Inuyasha had asked her to shut up and sleep. Rising her head for awhile, she saw the Taisho Corp. And Inuyasha was heading there.

Hanging to that last hope, Kagome lowered her head and asked, "Where are we going?"

"Keh, where do you think I'm going?"

"Taisho Corp?" Kagome tried not to be too amused and excited.

"Keh."

Kagome squealed and wrapped her arms around Inuyasha's neck, strangling him. Inuyasha winced, and sigh. It had been a long day and he was feeling very guilty for tiring Kagome out. But the look on her face now is priceless, and he won't give it up for anything. On reaching the building, Inuyasha placed her down gently, only to be stopped by two guards.

"Who are you and what do you want?" The first guard asked. He looked small and weak but Kagome sensed the youki in him. Kagome stold a glance at Inuyasha. His expression was grave.

"We're here for that bastard." Inuyasha blurted out. Kagome stepped on his foot. "Wench-"

"We're here for Sesshoumaru-sama. Is he here?" Kagome interrupted.

The guards looked at each other. Finally, the bigger sized one pushed up his glasses. "Follow me."

Kagome was shocked. He didn't even ask who they are! What if they were Naraku's followers and happen to be here? Silently, both of them followed the security guards. Frowning at the lack of fresh air in the elevator, Kagome leaned onto Inuyasha. When the elevator reached the highest level, the guards stepped out and bowed. Inuyasha and Kagome stepped out of the elevator and started gaping at the grand room. There was a door at the end. Since there's only one door, Kagome figured that it'd be that door. The two guards went back into the elevator and the doors closed.

Inuyasha stomped across the room, much to the secretory's dis-amusmement, and knocked down the door. Kagome gasped at smiled awkwardly at the secretory. Her eyes widened. It was Kanna! Wasn't she dead? She rushed towards Inuyasha.

"Long time no see, bastard."

Sesshoumaru lifted his head and pushed up his glasses before turning back to his work. Inuyasha growled at the manner of 'disrespect' for him.

"Inuyasha-"

"Wait wench, I have to settle this first." Turning back to Sesshoumaru, he started stomping in. "I need some answers. And you'll jolly well provide them."

Sesshoumaru sighed and took off his glasses. Standing up, Kagome realised his physical body hadn't changed at all in these 500 years. He was wearing a suit with a white tie. His hair was in a low ponytail at the back of his head. Inuyasha finally realised what Kagome was staring at and growled, jerking Kagome out of her thoughts. Smiling awkwardly as her face turned as red as an apple, she ran behind Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru gestured at them to sit. Kagome slipped into one of the chairs while Inuyasha remained standing.

"I've been sending people to look for you these few years and I found you at the shrine. Basically, this is a company for youkai. Over the years, youkai have been un-able to find a job because they were not used to working around humans. So all our workers here, are youkai. I know you're shocked to see Kanna alive and well. It was Kagura's wish for her to be revived because she had feelings for her 'big sister'. Years have passed and the world has changed. There're rumours out they that Naraku has been ressurected by a human. I'm currently investigating it. Inuyasha, I've made these for you." Sesshoumaru bent down and opened a drawer. Retrieving some documents, he place them onthe table. "Theses are your identity cards and all. The documents you need to survive. Here's a credit card for you. You can buy anything with it. Just don't try anything like, buying the whole shop."

With that, he took off his coat from the hanger and strolled past them, out of the room. Stopping halfway, he turned around and smiled at Inuyasha, "Oh my address is on my name card. If you want to visit me, you can look for me there." And he was gone.

Kagome was in shock. When had he turned so nice towards Inuyasha?

"He must be hiding something. I knew it!" Inuyasha muttered to himself.

"I don't think he is. Perhaps Kagura had changed him over the years." Kagome smiled.

"Inuyasha, just you wait! I'll get my revenge very soon." Naraku snickered.

"Naraku-sama, you should be resting." Kumi reprimanded.

"Fine. When will I be ready?"

"That depends on how you carry yourself, Naraku-sama."

"Kagome, I'm sorry child but you must drink it. It's for your own good."

"It smells so awful already! I don't want to drink it!" Kagome wrinkle her nose.

"You're still weak. You must-" Mrs. Higurashi started.

"Whats going here?" Inuyasha interrupted. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Kagome's eyes red. "What the fuck happened?"

"Oh thank goodness you're here, Inuyasha. Kagome refuse to drink te medicine. It's to strengthen her body as she's still weak."

Inuyasha looked from Mrs. Higurashi's hopeful face, to the bowl of chinese medicine, to Kagome's bitter face. "I didn't see anything." With that, he sauntered off leaving a very shocked Mrs. Higurashi there and a very happy Kagome.

"You know, that was low. She was suppose to drink her medicine. You know that it's for her own good."

"Yeah, well you got to admit it was hard to decide. I can't make her cry, can I? I can't reject her either."

"Whatever."

Inuyasha sighed and stared at the night sky. He missed those times out there travelling with the others, always staring the the night sky with everybody sleeping. Suddenly he felt two hands grab his ears. He jumped and turned around, only to hear a shirek. Kagome was hanging on a tree branch. Acting on his first instincts, he pulled Kagome up before grabbing her hands and checking to see if she has any scratches. "What the fuck did you think you're doing? What if you fall? Did you think for me?" Inuyasha yelled at her.

"I just wanted to surprise you. . ." Kagome trailed off. Inuyasha sighed and pulled her close. Both of them stared at the full moon silently, each lost in their own thoughts. "Inuyasha. . .?"

"Hmm?"

"Can I play with your ears?"

Inuyasha turned red. "For what, wench?"

"I always loved your ears."

Inuyasha was about to say no when he saw the longingly look on Kagome's face. Sighing and irritated with himself for the weakness, "Fine."

"You kidding? Thought you love being under her control?"

"Shut up."

Under Kagome's 'hypnosis', he began nodding. Soon, he was asleep.

The sound of bird chirpping awoke Inuyasha. He was lying on Kagome's lap. He look up and saw Kagome sleeping peacefully, back against the tree trunk. Carrying her gently so as not to wake her up, Inuyasha started towards their room. As soon as Inuyasha left the room, Kagome smiled and opened one eye. Giggling softly, she hid herself under the covers and started laughing. Inuyasha burst into the room and grinned.

"I caught you!" Inuyasha shouted.

"No you didn't! You cheated because you heard my laughter. So tell me, Inuyasha, ain't my acting good?" Kagome winked.

"Keh! Inuyasha turned red and stomped out of the room.

Kagome sighed happily as she stared out of the window. She hadn't slept a wink last night. Too busy trying to memorise the features of Inuyasha's peaceful face. There's not a time she got to see it. He has never been completely off-guard. Always trying to protect her in terms of safety. He had never once actually let his hair down and laughed. Always frowning, shouting vulgarites. . . Kagome sighed again. Taking her clothes from her wardrobe, she went to the bathroom.

"Are they well?"

"Very well, Naraku-sama."

"Good. Because they won't be soon."

"Get it Kagome! I'm busy."

"Alright." Kagome opended the door to find nobody but a package there. To Kagome, it said. Shrugging, she closed the door and went to the room. Opening the package slowly, she saw it was a box. Curiousity of her and she opened it without Inuyasha's consent. What she saw inside made her scream for Inuyasha. Inuyasha came rushing over, all dusty from packing the warehouse with ji-chan.

"What - WHAT?!" Inuyasha stared at the contents of the package. They both know what this means. Naraku is back. Kagome joined the mirror together. It was the one Sesshoumaru broke - Kanna's. An image appeared. It was blurry but she could see that it was a human form.

"Ahh. . . Kagome eh?"

Kagome gasped. "Naraku!" She stared up at Inuyasha, who was frozen.

"Inuyasha's there too huh? I hope you remember me. Remember what . . . YOU'VE TURNED ME INTO! Muahahahaha! I'll get my revenge, trust me." With that, the mirror cracked.

"W - w - was that really Naraku?" Kagome asked.

"I don't know, Kagome."

Naraku was a pale shadow of his former self. He was bony, with eye rings. His face had lost it's colour and evil it usually carried. Instead, he looked more like a beggar. He had also cut his hair short. "Do you think we should inform Sesshoumaru?"

"Keh. It's our business. Why should he care?" It was obvious Inuyasha's temper had came back.

"Well, he's the tai-youkai after all."

"I think he's up to no good. What will he get from helping me?"

"Ask yourself that. Me, on the other hand, prefer to think the easy way that he's a perfectly nice guy."

"Suit yourself." Inuyasha strolled off and started to go back to his cleaning.

"What are you doing, anyway?"

"Helping your beloved ji-chan to do the warehouse cleaning."

"You mean he still trusts you after you broke his vases?"

"That was your fault!"

"It was not! If you hadn't destroyed my bicycle, I wouln't have."

"Keh! That was a piece of crap anyway."

"Inuyasha!"

Inuyasha knew what was coming and started running out of the room. But he was too late.

"OSUWARI!"

"MY VASES!"
