Chapter one

"Where are you going?" Inuyasha yelled at the retreating form in front of him.

"Away from you!!" Kagome yelled back at him at the top of her lungs. Inuyasha flattened his ears and watched her go thinking `she'll be back by night fall'

"Arg, he makes me so mad thinking he can treat me like shit, I don't think so. If all I am to him is a precious shard hunter than why am I here? I think I'll go home, the problem is, which way is home I don't remember this part of the forest." She looked around and decided to go right, if any thing, it would lead her out of the forest.

"Where are you going?" a cold voice said behind her. She whirled around and came face to face, or should I say face to chest with…

He had been watching her up in a tree, listening to her rant to her self, then he heard he say she was going home, then she turn and went the wrong way. Deciding to help her, he jumped down behind her and spoke. She whirled around with wide eye looking at his chest her eyes rising to his face then whispered

"Sesshoumaru" he was handsome but cold, but no matter how cold he was he seemed to hold a fire hot power within that she could feel at that close distance. She was staring at him and he could smell her slight arousal at how close they were. Suddenly as if she just found out how close they were she took a step back, and her expression changed.

"What do you want with me?" kagome asked slight fear in her voice.

"You want to go home and that's the wrong way so I thought I would tell you which way to go so you would get home quicker." Sesshoumaru replied watching her tense.

"How did you know?"

"I watched you go down countless times and watched you come up with that overly stuffed yellow bag and you said you wanted to go home so I thought I would direct you."

"Why?" kagome inquired cautiously.

"So that with you gone I can get the tetsuiga (AN is this correct?) and kill my half breed brother."

"Oh ok so which way?" Kagome asked relaxing.

"Do you not worry about inuyasha, I mean he was your protector."

"No, so which way?" Kagome asked, bored.

"Turn around and go straight that way you will reach the bone eaters well, I will walk you there." Sesshoumaru starter walking and kagome followed behind quietly.

`Why is she so willing to let him die, oh well better for me.'

Sesshoumaru had reached the clearing for the bone eaters well, he turned to her nodded his goodbye and the cloud was forming at his feet when she spoke. "Wait."

Sesshoumaru turned to her and tilted his head, she held out her hand and he did likewise, she dropped something into his hand. It was the Shikon no tama. Sesshoumaru looked at her in wonder, this human, this thing that crawled from the mud, had given this to him. She stood on the tippy toes while he leaned down and she whispered in his ear, "kill Naraku!"

He silently nodded she turned to him, kissed him ever so slightly on the cheek and quickly jumped into the well.

Sesshoumaru was still looking at the spot she had been mere seconds ago, ` did kagome just kiss me, a human, let alone a human MIKO had just kissed him. He sniffed the air inuyasha was coming and he need to go so he wouldn't have to deal with his brothers big mouth so soon.

`Did I just kiss him the great tiayouki of the western lands, and she just kissed him' Oh she was so glad she knew the sealing spell or Inuyasha would be all over her in seconds.

The new school year started in a week and she need to get ready.
