The villagers screamed as the youkai attacked, the wall surrounding the village held them back for a few seconds before it buckled and allowed the vile creatures in. Screams rang through the night and people tried to escape only to find that the wall they had build to protect themselves was now keeping them trapped for the wolf youkai to finish off.

Drake smiled as he watched his pack kill the pathetic ningen one by one, feasting on the carcasses. He himself was gnawing on the arm of one of the strongest warriors from the village. They were almost all dead and he suddenly heard movement. It shocked him to see the child running so quickly and what shocked him more was that it was ignoring the flames of the fires his pack had set and jumping through the flames. He smirked as he tossed the arm down and dropped to all fours, he began to chase the child and it saw him. He could not tell the ningen children apart and he did not try to as he slowly caught up to it. It turned to him and bared its little teeth as it growled and he chuckled as he circled it. It didn't turn its back to him and it made little fists with its hands and he chuckled at its spirit. He could make it into one of them.

"Do you fear me?" he asked and the child snarled as it glared at him. "Do you understand me?" Slowly it nodded.

"Can you speak?" it nodded.

"Then tell me, do you fear me?"

"Yes," it barked as it looked at him as other members of his pack noticed him talking to the child.

"Do you hate me?"

"No," it said as it glared at his pack.

"Why not?"

"'Cause I want to be strong like you," it said as it looked around at the forming group of wolf youkai.

"I could do that," he said as he approached the child and it tensed. He would make it one of them, he always had a fondness for pups and none of the females wanted to bear any. He would make one then.

"You're lying," it said and he chuckled.

"Either way you will be with us, whether as a pup or as a meal," he lunged and the child screamed.

The child screamed as the transformation began, its little fingers exploding into large paws with sharp claws. Drake watched as he chanted the ancient spell that was erasing the child's human body and replacing it with that of a youkai. It screamed again as a long tail ripped from the end of its spine. He smirked as it writhed on the ground, its clothing in shreds as it transformed, ten years in this form and then it would be a full youkai, right now it was only a hanyou, but soon it would be a full youkai. Another scream as the face began to bulge into a snout, the teeth elongating as its face turned into a snout and its ears lengthened to pointed tips. The fur sprouted all over as the human skin fell off leaving a pup, it could easily be mistaken for a normal wolf cub save for the crescent moon on its forehead and Drake raised his voice to the sky as a hollow howl. Soon the other members of the pack joined in and the pup looked up at all of them confused slowly joining its small voice to the song of the pack.
