~ Hey this is my first author's note ; ). If you haven't already guessed this is my first fanfiction. As much as I want to tell you to go easy on me don't. It won't help me or you poor readers. Now about the story. It may not seem like it's about Inuyasha at all for the moment, but believe me it will be. Please bear with me until I have time to update again.

The Soul Inside the Tama Ch.1
By: MiyabitaKyoushu
A young girl, about the age of 14 stands atop a tall hill gazing into the valley below. Her eyes close for a moment as the autumn sun sets behind the horizon and the street lamps flicker on. A brisk breeze blows her bangs back revealing four odd marks on her forehead. She sighs and begins her journey down the hill. She looks toward her home, a modest house built in the modern Japanese way, and it lay on the grounds of the old shrine she is the priestess of. She enters removing her shoes, glances of the picture of her parents on the counter, and remembers the day they didnt come home.
Since the accident she had been under the care of a distant aunt, who didnt live with her. Noryoku was alone in the world. She went to the sink and retrieved a glass of water. Tomorrow was a field trip, and she hadnt yet faxed her distant aunt her permission slip. She did so, and received a prompt reply; She quickly glanced at it and knew it was the stamp that her aunt used. She sighed and went up to her room. The house was no longer as inviting as it once was, dark and dreary, lifeless, but it was Noryokus job to protect and maintain what her parents gave her. She glanced at the clock it was barely 5:30, despite the early time she went to sleep.
She awoke long before dawn as always, and went to the adjacent shrine. She hadnt lived here long, her parents died not a month after they moved in, and thus Noryoku decided this place was cursed. She finished her morning rituals after the sun just peaked over the mountain. She went and got her uniform on as she prepared for school. As she was leaving she took one last look in the mirror, and was filled with loneliness. Noryoku had always been different. She had dark wavy hair, and black eyes, while both her parents had clear blue eyes, and light brown hair. This hadnt bothered her while they were alive, but now it made her feel like she had even less of a connection to her parents.
She went through an uneventful day at school, and went to her normal spot to watch the sunset. She was annoyed to find that her spot had been invaded by a bunch of boys she would have preferred not to deal with. She passed by and went directly home instead of risking confrontation.
As she was entering the shrine grounds she noticed a glint in a rock at the base of the cliff. Noryoku went to examine it as she didnt want to enter the unwelcoming house yet. She noticed that a strange light was shining through a small hole. She moved a few rocks to reveal a cave. She crawled in a little further, and found that the cave was actually quite large. She stood up and continued onward. What she saw at the end of the tunnel scared, and intrigued her.
There was a statue of a woman standing majestically amidst bones and monsters, and the light wasnt coming from the sky it was coming from this womans forehead. Noryoku approached the strange statue and touched the light on her forehead. A violent flash of light surrounded her with blue, and Noryoku didnt know what to do.
A strong, warm, female voice said, Fear is not necessary. No harm will come to you here
