Chapter 2

Not playing fair....

Trying her best to straighten herself up, Kagome lightly taps upon Inuyasha's shoulders to put her down, but he shakes his head.

"I don't think you can stand..."

"Why not...?" She replies looking a little annoyed, but flustered as he gives her a little wink.

"Do you really want me to answer that Kagome....?" Inuyasha says causing her to blush even more. "Besides I want to carry you."

Shaking her head as he refuses to let go, she giggles. "Well at least can you put me down when we get there; I don't want to make it to obvious to what we have been doing."

"Ashamed?" Inuyasha's asks and his ears start drooping a little. That although, he was partially expecting she would be ashamed, he was hoping he was wrong.

"Of Course Not!" Kagome states vehemently as she turns his head towards hers for a kiss that claims him as he had done her. "It's just I don't want everyone to know we were doing that! Some things are better left private, don't you think?"

Understanding explicitly after that kiss, Inuyasha smiles in relief. His ears twitching with delight as a hand goes up and begins to rub an ear, he lets out what is almost a purr of pleasure as he fights the urge to stop and make her senseless with desire again.

"You like that?"

The rumble getting louder causes her to grin a little in response. Pausing as he sets her down, she starts to pull her hand away and his comes up to stop her.

"Don't...just keep going..." He growls out slowly. "I will help you..."

"Really?" She looks at him with a dubious knowing smile, and he can't help but return with a look that causes her to skip a breath."

"I will....but can I help it if Temptation and Sin itself is all wrapped in you?"

Kagome stops a moment as she brings her hands to his cheeks and places a kiss on his mouth. Light and feathery, he nips playfully at her lips and she smiles in delight. "That is one of the most wonderful things I have ever heard you say Inuyasha..."

Smiling at her words, he protests as she straightens her clothes and makes sure nothing is in her hair, then looking at him with a flirtatious smile, she starts running back towards camp.

Realizing she is running away from him. but in such a manner, as she looks back at him, he smiles, for she wishes him to chase her back to camp. Taking off after he allows her some room to move, before his instincts kick in to gear and as she starts to hit camp, he cuts her off and she laughs musically. Ducking around him, she seeks to escape, but is stopped as his arm snakes around her.

"I got you...."

"I know."

They watch for at the commotion, they caused, Shippo, Sango and Miroku, look up at the warmth and connection their two friends seem to have made. Miroku, despite being the lecher he is, looks curiously and then smiles. "Is everything all right?"

Both Inuyasha and Kagome nod their heads, as they seem to share a smile. Wanting details and even more, Sango, grabs hers and Kagome's bath items and literally snatches her from out of Inuyasha's arms much to his surprise.

"What?"

"Don't worry Inuyasha just girl stuff!" Sango yells back.

Looking confused, Inuyasha turns to Miroku with a questioning gaze. The monk smiles and simply states in one sentence, "You don't want to know."

Hot Springs....

"This is heaven...." Kagome smiles as she sinks her still weak knees into the water. Trying desperately to look strong so that Sango can't figure it out, she looks across at the Demon Slayer.

But ends up turning pink with embarrassment anyway as she notices the young woman's look of pure knowledge. Trying to avoid the topic, Kagome sinks even further into the water, when her friend grabs her hand, in such a manner as to demand instant gossip.

"Spill Kagome..."

"Spill what..."

"You know what. What happened between you and Inuyasha?"

Trying not to think about, Kagome blushes anyway and Sango can't help but exclaim in delight. "Miroku was right! You did do that! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Well actually I can somewhat, but that is beside the point."

"SANGO!"

"What?!"

Kagome looks embarrassed beyond belief ,as Sango laughs in glee. Then, trying to get some of her own dignity back, she shoots a glare and a remark at her friend. "As if you wouldn't Sango if it was you and Miroku!"

Blushing red as she denies it, Kagome looks smug, as the slayer shakes her head rapidly. "M...M...Me? Me and that...that LECHER!"

"Yes you and that lecher...don't think I haven't seen the way you looked at him Sango. Inuyasha and Shippo have seen it to. You're head over heels for him!"

"I AM NOT!" The slayer replies and blushes furiously at the loudness of her voice. She watches as Kagome smirks and replies in two words.

"Are to"

Growling, Sango splashes her friend in a fierce torrent of water, to which Kagome splashes back with laughter and smiles. Soon the two young women are going at it unaware of the conversation going on back at camp.

Camp...

"I take it you talked to her then."

"Yes..." Inuyasha smiles as he looks towards the hot springs anxiously. Shippo watches amused as Miroku takes on this look and he knows he is about to get a good show.

"So what else did you do...?" Miroku asks slyly.

"Well we...THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS MONK!" Inuyasha roars, and Miroku shrugs.

"Just asking..."

"Fine you asked. When is she getting back.....?" He mutters as he looks towards the hot springs. His impatience is thin and Miroku has inkling to why.

"In a bit, if I know the girls." Miroku says. "In the meantime Inuyasha, tell me did it work..."

"What?"

"What I told you?"

Not saying anything, Inuyasha flusters and looks away and Miroku just sits there grinning. "So it did work..."

"FEH!"

"Come on Inuyasha tell me everything."

"No..."

"Come on..."

"No..."

"Please..."

"I SAID NO!"

Shippo watches as Miroku makes a pest himself. Finally he starts to realize the show will really be getting good as he recognizes that familiar twitch in the hanyou's temple. "That's not a good sign...." The Kitsune says to himself, as he watches the hanyou yell no again.

"Come one Inuyasha..."

"LOOK I SAID NO!"

Shippo starts counting backwards..."5...4...3...2...1" As he mentally reaches one, he watches Inuyasha pounce on the monk and start beating him up. Shaking his head, he looks at the two and sighs. "I so do not want to grow up and be like them...."

He looks up as a familiar scent enters the air and he giggles as two women who although they are bickering over something themselves, unite as both men freeze at the sight.

"Miroku...?" Inuyasha says nervously.

"Run quietly and run fast...!" Is all the monk says as both women look to Shippo who is happily entertained, despite his young age, which is precisely what they are thinking about.

"SIT BOY! SHIPPO IS JUST A CHILD!"

"WHAT THE HECK DID YOU DO NOW, MIROKU! AND HOW DARE YOU DO IT IN FRONT OF SHIPPO" The Slayer yells as she grabs her giant boomerang and swings at him.

Shippo just watches and smiles, as another routine fight erupts between those whom he considers his family with relish.

“I sill don't want to grow up and be like them, if this happens....” Shippo states as he shakes his head. “But you know something Kirara.” The fox child asked of the feline that was lounging beside him, who looks up with a curious expression.

“mew?”

“It it still funny to watch...”
