Simply limps in, tired and annoyed from work, she is cussing a mean streak over %&%$$%^ White Chicks movie and the little punks who piss her off. Yuka and her brother look at her and hide in fear....

"She must have had a bad day at work...."

He nods his head slowly as she nearly throws out the computer when it didn't load up fast enough....

"A BBBAAAADDD DDAAAYYYY!"

Grumbles...okay folks don't mind me I just work at a movie theater...my feet hurt and I had to deal with at least a dozen little ^&^%%^$%^$ brats trying to sneak in....so this may have a fight or two and be really...really long.....

Chapter 19

Surprise, surprise, surprise...

After having jumped through the well, Yuka was greeted by a disapproving face.

"Hi Daddy...."

Sesshomaru simply growled and walked away gesturing for Yuka to follow. Gulping a little bit because she knows when his face actually reflects his mood....she is in trouble.

Getting into the car, she notices how Inuyasha and Kagome come out only moments later. Breathing a sigh of relief, she ponders something Inuyasha and Kagome said.

"Daddy...did you actually try to kill Inuyasha and Kagome in the past?"

Sesshomaru says nothing and just nods his head. The Bentley rolling smoothly over the road is in contrast to Yuka's disbelieving gaze.

"Why?"

"At the time, I hated him....I hated him with a passion for what he was."

Yuka looks at him silently. "You hated him because he was a hanyou..."

"Yes, and to top it off, your grandfather had given Inuyasha his sword, the Tetsaiga to wield."

"So you tried to kill them...over a SWORD!" Yuka exclaims incredulously,

"Yes, that is before I knew...."

"Knew what?"

"The sword served two purposes for Inuyasha, Yuka. One was for defense against his enemies...."

"And the other?" She asks quietly.

"To protect us from him..."

"To protect us....but Inuyasha doesn't seem as if he can hurt anyone on purpose..."

"True Yuka, but the problem lies in when he goes full demon. When he goes Demon, Inuyasha loses all morals, all emotions and all desires except one....to kill."

Yuka shudders at the thought. Looking back towards the shrine, she can't help but worry a little about her friend. "Does Kagome know?"

"She knows..."

"How...How do you stop him?"

"Yuka, as long as Inuyasha has the Tetsaiga, all is safe....if he should lose it....run. You do not have the strength to fight him. I and Kagome are the only ones who have been able to approach him and revert back to normal. Her with love...."

"And...."

"At first it was because I desired to kill him when eh was normal and a hanyou, that allowed me to help him when he changed....but your mother and Rin pointed out something years ago...I did it out of love and the desire to see him. I denied that for a long time...."

Yuka giggles. She knows for her father to actually admit something. That could take ages, before he will willingly do so.

"Still Daddy, he can't be all that strong, I mean you are the best!"

Sesshomaru gives her one of his rare smiles. "Ask him about my arm..."

"Your arm?"

"Next time you see him ask him about my left arm"

Yuka looks confused, but nods her head. Changing the subject to the thing happening to Akira, her father growls at the sound of the name Naraku.

"Daddy?"

"Nothing Yuka...thank you for telling me this. First chance in the morning I would take the glove and Akira to Kagome. Her powers are much stronger and she will be able to add on to the protection there, that Kaede has placed for you."

"All right Daddy?"

As Yuka turns to the side and looks out the window, she doesn't notice, her father gripping the steering will tightly and buckling under the power of his grip. His thoughts run wild with a desire to kill.

"Naraku alive!" He reflects to himself as he looks back upon that time that his brother and the miko fought the dark hanyou and won....

Flashback...

Sesshomaru watched and stood breathing heavily as his brother and the miko took on Naraku. That creature had swallowed the Shikon jewel whole after retrieving the last of the shards. His power because of it had become exponential.

Blocking blow after blow, he watches as his lowly brother seems to raise the respect he has for him with each and every swing of his sword. Standing beside him the miko, fires her holy arrows at strategic times, to aid him in the battle, forcing the hanyou to regroup after each strike.

He had come to take his revenge on the demon for what had been happening on his lands and for Rin. But also to some degree to release Kagura, Naraku's daughter in some sense of the word, from his control...it seems he had started to care for the woman, for he does give her credit. She was persistent....

Looking to his side, he watches as the wind demoness waves her fan and controls the demons that he and the wolf demon had killed, and sets them upon her creator. It turns out, Kouga even though he wished revenge upon her for what was done, understood thanks to some persuasion upon Kagome, decided to allow her to live in exchange for two things.

1. during the beginning of the battle Kouga and his pack would break in and track down, where Naraku kept the hearts of both Kagura and Kanna.

2. That both would help in fighting against the demon that created them.

Kagura agreed to both for it turned out that Shippo's illusions which provided excellent copies of all of them could be enhanced and actually hurt with the aid of Kanna's mirror. With that in mind each illusion of Inuyasha and the others would swing, not with the full force of the original, but with enough power to keep Naraku off guard as he tried to distinguish the real from the fake.

Battling along side, the wolf demon and his tribe as Naraku unleashes countless more demons from himself, the two works along with Kagura by killing them off and with her Dance of the wind allowing her to control the dead.

Shippo and Kanna provide defensive cover from their hiding place as Miroku and Sango defended them from oncoming weapons and demons. So watching as they battle, they are startled as Inuyasha goes down.

"NOW YOU DIE INUYASHA!"

Time seems to slow almost as Inuyasha screams with all his might. "KAGOME DO IT NOW!"

Nodding her head, she pulls out a special arrow. One that was made from Totosai containing power of the miko and both brothers, and it glows with a swirling red and white light.

It was two weeks before, when they had approached him with the idea to defeat Naraku and take back that power he has stolen from others. Their father was strong and it was obvious that Naraku did not care for either sword, the brothers had or the miko's holy arrows. If Totosai could somehow make an arrow, with that kind of power and allow it to be contained its might and something that simple, and then maybe they all stood a chance.

It worked... Kagome let the arrow fly. The part that was demon inside belonging to the brothers was drawn to the Shikon Jewel inside Naraku and at the same time Kagome's holy powers purified it and the demons that made his body.

Screaming in rage, Naraku had no choice but to force the jewel out of his boy as the arrow did its work. The power significantly decreased his power and as the jewel hung in mid air for a second, they all watch as Kagome catches it and where it was once dark with hate...it became pure with light in a manner of seconds.

Naraku realizing he has lost fled for his life. Inuyasha was to give chase, when Sesshomaru stopped him.

"Allow me brother...you must tend to the jewel and your friends...Naraku has no power now...."

Inuyasha was reluctant, but as he looked at the tired faces of his friends including, even though he hates to admit it Kouga, he nods his head and for the first time the brothers clasp arms in respect.

"Good Journey and make his end painful..."

"Agreed..."

"We are coming as well..." A feminine voice replies. Sesshomaru turns around and notices both Kagura and Kanna standing there. "We wish to see him die...."

Nodding his head, he calls forth for Jaken and Rin to come forward with Ah-un. Jaken groaned at the two who followed Sesshomaru, whereas Rin grinned at the sight.

"Hello again, is this Kanna?"

"Rin?"

The little girl nods her head and Kagura watches amazedly as she turns to Kanna, who for the first time, looks confused. "Wanna play torture Jaken?"

Looking at the green toad, who seems to be flitting around them grumbling about their presence, Kanna nods her head. Rin laughs in glee as she takes Kanna's hand and drags the other girl with her. Kagura looks puzzled and turns to Sesshomaru with a question...

"Why do you still keep the little human with you?"

"I do not know..."

Flashback ends...

That was his answer, he didn't know at first. But as he and the others traveled around, Kagura began to slowly seep in and began to listen to the woman more. Sure often their little discussions ended up in him being hurt by her blades of wind...but the making up was all the more sweeter as she delightfully put it. Their first major fight and session resulted in the young woman beside him...Yuka.

Chuckling softly as they arrive she watches as she jumps out and heads towards a group of people who seem to be waiting for them. He holds back another smile as she, approaches a certain Kitsune standing next to a white haired demoness, "Shippo?"

"What is it brat...."

"You were so cute when you were a child....WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!"

The Kitsune growls as she gives a low bark of playful challenge. Kanna, simply shrugs and let's go of her mate's side as Yuka and her husband wrestle with one another.

"Hello Kanna....what brings you here to my house today...."

"This...." The woman replies and hands him a scroll. Skimming over it, he crushes the paper with his claws.

Saying nothing he storms past and enters the house. The other two are pausing in mid wrestle as the fox looks at his mate and questions.

"He looked at it?"

Nodding her head, he shakes his much to the confusion of Yuka.

"Looked at what?"

"Nothing..."

Yuka frowns. She knows the minute Kanna says nothing she will not divulge another word. Gazing at Shippo, she is about to ask him when he stops her.

"Don't ask me...you know her mirror still works..."

Growling in annoyance, she once again tackles him and he casually flips her over. "As much as I would like to stay and finish this pest...Kanna and I must go and give Kouga the same news...good thing I made copies...."

With that note, he and Kanna head towards their car and leave. Knowing her friend Jinto, being the eavesdropper that she is, she runs towards the house and her room to give him the heads up.

Back at the shrine...

Inuyasha jumps out of the well, with Kagome following a few minutes later. Smiling as he pulls her out, he nuzzles her neck with affection and he can't help but be pleased as the scent of her desire for him spikes.

"My angel..."

Chuckling softly as he seems to cuddle up to her, she stifles a yawn a little bit.

"Tired...?"

"Yes..."

Swinging her up into his arms all of a sudden he carries her into the house much to her delight, despite her protests.

"Inuyasha I can walk you know..."

"I know...but I want to..." He replies playfully.

As he runs into the house, he lets her down long enough to close the door. Smiling softly in glee she beats him to her room and closes the door upon him.

"KAGOME!"

"Hold on a second Inuyasha I want to get ready for bed...?"

"Ready for bed?" He ponders at her words as his ears detect the sounds of her opening and closing drawers and stripping. He wishes he was there to watch. Getting a little annoyed he is about to pound on the door again, when she opens it and his eyes just take her in with a hungry need....

She is wearing a simple white night gown, which has straps and is cut to a point right between her breasts. The Shikon Jewel on its chain glows a soft pink, because of Kagome's pure loving heart right there at the valley of her gown, where it rests next to her soft creamy skin. Looking further down, the gown hugs her body with perfection and he can't help but whimper a little at the sight.

"You like?"

Nodding his head voicelessly, she reaches out and pulls him by the collar. Dragging him into her room, she leans forward to watch as he strips down to his pants. This is where she stops him momentarily as she hands him something sitting next to her.

"Inuyasha...I know you often sleep in your clothes, but ...well a long time ago...um..." Kagome just hands him what appears to be a red silken pants. He looks at her strangely confused and then she just smiles. "Try them on..."

About to do just that, he freezes and smiles wickedly. "Turn around..."

"What?"

"You heard me turn around...."

Looking a little disappointed she does just that, but being in her room has its advantages. Watching out of the corner of her, she observes as he removes the last of his clothes and takes the red silk loungewear to his waist. He sniffs the material almost and he can't help but delight in its softness and the way it smells of her room. Figuring out, by the look of he drawstrings he slides them on.

"Okay you can look now..."

Turning back around, she looks at him in appreciation. Holding out her hand and motioning for him to turn around. He does so with a certain smile of pure bliss....

"You like them?" She whispers.

"I love them..."

"Good...." She murmurs against his throat as once again she nips it a little bit.

"KAAGGOOMMMEEE!"

Giggling softly, she watches as he seems to growl low in pleasure. "I know I can't do it yet...but why?"

Hushing her with a single kiss upon her lips, he moves to her radio, and remembering how she played music, he searches for something and finds it. Placing it in, he carefully pushes play and a song starts to play....

Eyes like fire - Burn desire

As we dance away into the night

"Dance with me Kagome..." Inuyasha softly replies as he takes her into his arms. "Dance with me like we did yesterday."

This attraction - Fuels a passion

That's just too strong for us to try and fight

Nodding her head with a slightly annoyed look as he changes the subject, she allows herself to be pulled into his arms, and she can't help but rest her head upon his chest as her arms envelop her and they sway to the beat.

Each moment we're together

I just never want to end

'Cause I could never feel this way again

Looking up at him no words are exchanged just looks of emotions and love with all their heart and soul. His eyes darken to a molten gold, as hers seem to become like chocolate each reflecting their souls.

'Cause nothing else had ever felt so right

To feel your body lying next to mine

As the rhythm of your heart beats through me

"I feel your heart Inuyasha...." She states in such a tone, that his heart skips a beat as her hand reaches you and grazes gently across his cheek. "So strong you are my hanyou...."

"I'm only strong when you are there Kagome...." He answers and she can't help but believe him for the truth reflects in his eyes.

All through the night

I never thought I'd ever realize

A long that feels so close to paradise

Boy I could spend my whole life living

Forever in your eyes

"You still haven't told me why Inuyasha...." She giggles softly against his chest.

"Because stage one for us is complete...you were initiating stage two..." He murmurs with a little whimper as she playfully gives his nipple a little bite and tug with her teeth.

Everything I am is yours alone

When you touch me - All that I see

Is feeling that my heart has never known

"Stage two....Inuyasha tell me....what it is please?"

Whoever thought on angel could bring heaven here to me

"I can't...you have to find out on your own..."

Kagome pouts a little bit, but as she does so, he can't help but lean forward and press his lips to hers again. Claiming her heart and soul as he feels her soft body against his, when he breaks away, she seems to breathe a little heavier.

I never thought I'd ever realize

"Inuyasha..." She keens so gently and almost non existent, as he pushes her head to the side and bestows kisses all along her neck. Giving playful little nips and bites, they elicit sounds of need matching his own. Moving a strap down to the side, he fully releases a breast and it like he dreamed.... it fits perfectly in his hands and he can't help but roll the nipple with his thumb a little.

As he gazes into her eyes when he does this, he finds the desire, the need, and the love through out all his senses. She is his as he is hers and nothing can change that.

"I love you..." He says as he bends down once more but where his finger played he sucks softly and with such gentleness, that she seems to arch to give him more.

It's a burnin' love I can't seem to ignore

All the things I feel inside

Hearing her moans he stands up to look at her as her eyes seem to light up with knowledge. Pressing her lips to his in a desperate need, she moves his neck to the side, and the little nip digs harder and he feels her teeth bite and claim...words then begin to come forth from her mouth as she backs away and begins to draw a rune sign with his blood on his shoulder....

He feels the snap as a bond between them forms. Her powers he can sense already take on a significant jump as she now draws upon his strength. He observes as his bite seems to almost instantly heal, with her touch, and the rune she marked on his shoulder in his blood, begins to glow a soft white. When the light is gone, it has disappeared...he knows it will reappear once he completes his end of stage two....which he looks forward to.

As the song finishes, he watches as she collapses and he catches her. With her saying the words, the sudden rush of his strength coming through her body was immense and it overwhelmed her. He has heard cases such as this from other demons, who have experienced a human's love and it was confusing for them as well...but they enjoyed it later when their chosen one came around...

He looks in anticipation as he waits for Kagome to come around. He knows that after she has initiated stage two...that he must wait at least a week, before he could complete it.

Still in the meantime, as he carries her to bed, and then sliding next to her. He feels her heartbeat and the power that has intensified. Along with the promise to train Yuka, he knows he must help Kagome control her new strength and help her discover abilities if her miko side that once laid dormant. Abilities, that Kikyo had....he whispers with a grimace...

He had sensed her watching them back in the past...and for the first time, he did not care in the slightest. Looking down at the woman in his arms, very much alive and very much in love with him, he watches as the Shikon Jewel seems to glow at pulse of her neck. The chain had slipped as he laid her down and there it rested. Laying down next to her and then gathering her into his arms, where he feels her warmth and smells her sweet scent, he sleeps...

Two hours later...

Hojo has seen the patrols done by Kagome's friends as he has several times tried to sneak by and watch her and that other man....

Thwarted as some how he seems to be detected each time, he waits and bides his time. Finally as the last of them leave to go home, he approaches her home.

Moving silently up the stairs and then climbing into the tree, he looks carefully trying to figure which window is hers. Noticing the faint music coming from one, he watches as she collapses against someone in the faint light of her room. That same someone catches her and picks her up and that is when he notices it is his rival...

A curl appears on his lips and it is one that transforms his handsome innocent face, into an ugly one of hate. His motions are in turmoil as this Inuyasha lays his Kagome down. Daring to climb the tree a little further, he observes as the man turns out the lights and all he sees is the reflection of his strange silver hair.

Expecting the guy to leave as he seems to have disappeared, Hojo is about to try and approach the window, when this force seems to keep him at bay. He pounds upon it and yet it will not let him go further.

He watches as his nemesis lies down next to her and takes her in his arms. He pounds even harder, and yet neither one can hear his rage or his hatred for the one who took her away from him.

"I will kill you..."

Sensing someone watching him, he pulls back into the shadows as he descends the tree and leaves. His heart pounding with hatred for the man and the first stirrings of it for the woman he has desired. He makes a promise to himself to learn all their secrets...and use it to destroy them....

In the Shadows....

Watching the other guy leave, a figure steps out, he is hooded and he watches waiting for the enemy to get out of sight. When he senses it is safe, he lets go of the barrier and pulls back his hood.

Pulling out a cell phone, he calls someone, who seems a little grumpy on the other end. After a conversation, he flips the phone over and sighs in annoyance....

"I really don't want to go back to school again...."

Leaping into the tree and the shadows he looks over towards the couple one last time. His amber eyes glowing in the darkness....

(1) I got this idea reading a book called the Wedding Spell...it seemed right....

Of course the song is called Forever in your eyes, elegantly done by Jessica Simpson. And I almost put in a lemon almost...but that idea hit me midway through and it seemed better....

Well anyhow in the next chapter....some more Miroku and Sango moments...Inuyasha training Yuka and the others into how to handle other demons who are considerably stronger....Akira receiving his glove from both Yuka and Kagome....And just who is this other guy with the amber eyes...it isn't Sesshomaru.....and also maybe a lemon...don't know depends on the mood...heh....plus some more fluff between Yuka and Akira...
