"SIT-BOY!" Snarled an angry female voice, the loud yell was then followed by a thud and foul cursing could be heard coming from the angry half-demon.
"Damn you wench; I was trying to protect your worthless ass.” He spat. “All I get for a thank you, is a damned sit to the ground.” He continued spitting out dirt from his mouth, when he was satisfied he looked up towards her. “Kikyou would have never done this." The half-breed turned his head on the startled girl whispering more names and comparing her to his precious, Kikyou.
The young female at the end of the yelling stood still. Her hands were at her sides, fingers nails cutting into her skin as blood was trailing down her palms onto the ground. Tears appeared at the edge of her eyes, but she stubbornly refused to let them drop.
Kagome stared at her hands, Inu Yasha had no idea what his hurtful words have done to her. ‘He’s called me worse, but it doesn’t make the pain go away’

*Kagome’s Point of View*
Here we go again. Inu Yasha's comparing me to Kikyou. When will he ever learn that I am not Kikyou? All he thinks about is Kikyou, Kikyou this Kikyou that. I know that Inu Yasha was trying to protect me, but from Kouga. It was the other way round, Kouga came to my… or shall I say Inu Yasha's rescue.

*Flashback*

As usual Inu Yasha is being the slave driver from hell. We were all tired from the day’s travels. I stopped in the middle of my stride; I sensed a demon in the area and soon after the demon came out of the forest and started to demand for the jewel shards.
This youkai was different, she, yes I said she was beautiful, not just beautiful, she was outrageously gorgeous. She had long jet black hair that went to her waist; she wore the traditional kimono green and a light pink designed as the blossoms.
"Give me the jewel shards, filth!" The demoness demanded rudely, Inu Yasha on the other hand snorted.
“Like we’d hand over the shards to you.” he spoke while drawing the Tetsusaiga.
They began to fight, with the demoness as the victor. `No not Inu Yasha, he can not be defeated, no not now, I still haven't told him that I love him.'
I strung my bow and shot her with an arrow, I prayed to the gods up above that it would hit it's mark. Then I felt this tingling sensation. I let the arrow fly and watched as another demon got in the way and took the arrow, I watched as it turned to ash.
I then walked over to Inu Yasha seeing if he was okay. He had minor wounds that could easily heal over night. I kept my eyes on her making sure she didn’t put anything.
The thing was that she was still there demanding for the jewel shards and we were all defenceless.
Well at the most unexpected moments Kouga would show up and start fights and claim me as his woman, and this was that unexpected moment. Kouga seen the state that Inu Yasha was in commented on weak dogs, well after awhile of verbal fighting with Inu Yasha, Kouga finally seen the demoness. The weird thing was that he did not attack her like would normally would. Instead he talked to her in a different language. After their little talk Kouga introduced me to the demoness.
It so happens that the demoness is the daughter of the lord of the Northern lands. He told me her name is Tamika and was a trained swords fighter. She was collecting the shards to insure that Naraku would not obtain them all.
Inu Yasha then made crude remarks about Tamika and then about Kouga and Myself. Inu Yasha can be a real jerk at times and that time was now. I got so fed up with him and sat him. I felt kind of guilty about his wounds, but then realized that he deserved to be sat if he talked about demons he did not know, it mostly hurt when he said those hurtful things about me.
Kouga then held my hands in his own, I could not help the blush that pass over my face. "Kagome my love, when ever are you going to leave dog shit over there and become my mate." He then did something that totally shocked me. He started to cherish my face then he brought me closer to his body. His thumb rubbed my bottom lip and he pulled me into my first kiss. At first it was shy and sweet, but then became passionate and hot. I felt him rubbing his hands over my body, and that was when Inu Yasha came out of his little conversation with the ground. He seen Kouga kiss me and the look on his face was priceless, `Where was a camera when you need one.'
*END FLASHBACK*
"Kouga, would you mind taking me home, pleasseee?" I gave Kouga the best puppy dog look I could give, lucky for me kouga gave in easily.
`Damn I hate it when Inu Yasha does this to me. Hopefully Kouga taking me home will would be enough for Inu what's his face to get pissed.'
I sat Inu Yasha to the ground again and told him not to come after me. Inu Yaha being himself cursed for the whole world to hear. `Damed dog'.
