Disclamer: I don't own Inu-Yasha and co. no matter how much I beg the great Rumiko Takahashi. I'm just a fanfiction writer.

It was a normal and beautiful day at Sengoku- jidai. A fifteen years old Kagome Higurashi smiled happily as she was sitting on a big blanket, looking as her friends were having a great time. A little kitsune, Shippo, played with a fire cat, Kirara, running all around a small but beautiful lake.
Kagome took a little sip from her coca-cola drink and smiled even more as she saw two of her bestfriends sitting under the tree, talking and laughing for something. She was glad for over speaking Inu-Yasha to have a little break.
She looked at up to the tree nearby her seeing her stubborn friend his eyes closed. He looked like he was sleeping... or maybe thinking something a really hard. She smiled a little. 'I wonder what he is thinking about?... Maybe me? No!... He loves Kikyo, not me!.... Even if he would love me it's because I look like her...' She thought and her smile faint away. 'All I can do is dream... but it hurts me. Why can't I just forget him... He can't never love me for me, he only sees Kikyo in me... I just should forget him... Just find someone else, who could love me return, see me what I really am... Not some kind of reincarnation of someone's old love!' She thought saddly, going to lay down on the blanket, closing her eyes. She let out a soft sigh before feeling a sleep catching her senses and before she knew, she had fall a sleep.
Inu-Yasha looked at the girl laying on the blanket her eyes closed. She heard her sighing softly before falling a sleep. He smiled a little.
He looked at little kitsune and the cat sleeping close to each other. Two of them had get tired for running and playing all around. His ears picked a soft whispers from Sango and Miroku nearby.
"C'mon Sango! I want to show you something! I bet you'll like it!" Miroku whispered.
"I don't know..." Sango whispered back.
"Please Sango?" Miroku begged.
"*sigh* alright! But if you have anything pervet in your mind I promise the next thing you'll see is a stars and you'll feel pain all over you!" Sango warned the pervert monk.
"I promise it's nothing to do with that!" He promised and Inu-Yasha could told by the monk's voice that he was smiling.
'Feh! Idiots! Everyone could tell they love each other! Hmp! Why don't they just tell each other how they really feel!' Inu-Yasha thought and "Feh"ed, but not loud. He didn't want to wake Kagome. He looked at her. He felt something warm growning inside him everytime he looked at her. It made him feel funny and dizzy inside. He liked the feeling, it made him smile, everytime, but he always tried to hide his smile. 'Could I possible be....? Falling in lo- .... No! I won't never! I love Kikyo!... But... Kagome is kinda nice... She acts sweetly towards me... and others too... She is warm and full of joy, but Kikyo.... She's.... she's cold... she smell's nothing but dirt and bone... kinda like dead... Kagome... She smell's kinda... nice... a mix with a fresh apples and flowers... Kagome looks more living like... and she would never hurt me... no.. she does hurt me with those "sit's"! Kikyo doesn't do that... she doesn't... yes she does... she tries to kill me... drag me to the hell with her!!! Kagome would never do a such a thing like that! Or would she?' Inu-Yasha thought as he looked at Kagome, blushing a little.
"You should tell her," He heard suddenly a familiar voice coming down the tree. Inu-Yasha looked down and gasped. "M-mother?" He almost whispered.
"Inu-Yasha, leave the past behind... Look at that girl sleeping there, she needs you... She loves you more than Kikyo have ever loved you,"
"Y-you can't be real. I'm just imagening," He thought shaking his head wildly and jumping down from the tree, landing front of a his mother looking like human.
"You are not imagening things my puppy. I'm dead, yes. What you see is a soul of mine. I wanted to came down here to help you find a peace into your heart," The woman said softly, smiling a warm smile.
Inu-Yasha just looked at the woman. It talked just like her mother. The woman smiled, "Do you wanna know what's she dreaming of?" She asked.
"I think her dreams are kinda personal--" He tried to say.
The woman took a hold of his hand, giving him another warm smile, "I'll show you, my puppy," The woman said.
Before he could say anything the world had changed. All around him was dark, he barely saw nothing but black. Suddenly the darkness disapeared. He was standing middle of the forest. He looked around, seeing Kagome with her arrows. She was pointing them to something or someone.
"Kikyo! You're not going to take him away!" Kagome said with a voice of full of angry. He turned to see where she was pointing the arrows, seeing Kikyo and... himself!
"You're so wrong, little girl. He wanted himself to come with me to the hell!" Kikyo said smiling evilly.
"Is that true... Inu-Yasha?" Kagome asked, now almost whispering.
"Yes. I love Kikyo, not you," Came a reply from the Inu-Yasha who was holding Kikyo. A tear escaped from Kagome's eyes.
"B...b-but I thought..." Kagome whispered, her voice fainting away.
"There was nothing between you and me... you are just a reincarnation of my true love, nothing else... I could never fall in love to a girl who doesn't know how to fight or not to cry all the time," Inu-Yasha said.
More tears ran down from Kagome's eyes through her cheek, she turned around and started to ran, as fast as she could, away... away from Inu-Yasha and Kikyo. She had knew, deep down in her heart that he had always loved Kikyo, no one else... Not her, Kagome.
The real Inu-Yasha looked at Kagome running away. He felt his heart hurting to see her cry. He looked over to her mother looking like woman trying to get some explainsons, but nothing came.
"Why is she seeing this kind of dream?" He asked.
"A nightmare," The woman said softly.
"Huh?"
"It's a nightmare to her,"
"Nightmare?... But why?" He asked, with a look in his eyes told that he was lost.
"Because she fears to loosing you to Kikyo, who'll drag you to the hell. She fears for not to be abale to see you again, never again," The woman answered.
"She likes me?" Inu-Yasha thought out aloud.
"My silly puppy! She LOVES you too much that she fears this to someday happen!" The woman answered softly, "Now come with me," She said.
They started to walk towards the place where the girl, Kagome had ran. Inu- Yasha smelled the air, noticing a blood sense coming somewhere. The blood smelled familiar and it came closer.
Suddenly they stopped, seeing a small lake. It was a color of... a blood? He gasped, looking around in fear. He saw a tree, not so far away from him. The smell of blood came there. They walked towards the tree and shocked what he saw.
It was Kagome. His Kagome. She had an arrow through her heart and blood was running down, making her clothes red and bloodly. Inu-Yasha gasped.
"Why she has an arrow through her heart?" He asked, "Did someone attack her?"
"She did this herself. No one attacked her. She did this because her love for you... Now is time to go back my puppy. Your girl is waking up," The woman said with soft voice and darkness came all around them. Next thing what Inu-Yasha saw was Kagome, who was next to him under the tree. She had her head on his shoulder.
"Was that all a dream?" Inu-Yasha though, looking at Kagome, who was slowly waking up.
She opened her eyes and yawned, sensing something warm next to her. She looked up, seeing pair golden eyes looking at her.
"Don't you dare to kill yourself because of me," Inu-Yasha said, almost whispering to her ear. She blinked, "huh?"
"I know what you dreamed of. It was a nightmare. You saw Kikyo dragging me to hell with her with my own will," He whispered.
"H-how do you know?" Kagome asked in suprise.
"I saw it too. You should know that I would never give up that easy. Kikyo can't never drag me to hell with her with my own will!" Inu-Yasha said sounding a dead seriously. Kagome didn't say anything, she turned her gaze away from him, looking at the ground.
"I would never leave the one who do I really love. I would never say those words what I did in your dream, " He added, "Because... I.... I don't want to hurt you, Kagome... I don't want no one to hurt you. Get it?"
She nodded still no saying anything nor looking him. He put his lips near her ear whispering softly, "Aishiteru, Kagome," Before he got up and walked away leaving shocked Kagome sitting under the tree with her thoughts...
