InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Tough Romantic ❯ The Breakup ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

“Hiretsukan!” A shout came from outside the school during lunch hour. A loud slap could be heard and echoed through the school grounds.
Everybody looked over to where it came from. There was a girl yelling.
“How dare you!” She threw her hands up, “You know what, you're not even worth it you over grown piece of shit!”
His friends chuckled from behind him.
“Listen!” He grabbed her flying fists and held them hard. She gasped in shock.
“Who are you to slap me?” He pulled her closer to him. A sign of fear was to be seen in her eyes as they saw the grin on his face.
She suddenly came to, and pushed him quick and hard, “Get away from me!”
“You seriously don't know when not to touch a girl, don't you?” She crossed her arms in disgust.
“You're the one who was coming onto that guy!” He yelled back.
“Oh please! Like I'd ever come onto a badass kisser like him!”
“So you did kiss him!” He shoved his finger in her face.

As far as this was going, they were making a big scene in front of most of the students. She winced and made a disgusted face at him.
“How dare you say that? I never cheated on you. Ever! He was the one who was coming onto me! He was the one who kissed me! He forced me from my own free will!” She protested.
He blinked at her for a moment, almost believing her.
“You're lying to me!” He cocked back.
“No!” Her face showed fright again, unfolding her arms from her chest.
She looked to the crowd watching, waiting for them to continue. She took a small step back and held her arms as if they were cold, looking down.
He looked angry with her. Then saw that she was cold and calmed his look of hatred. He sighed.
“Can we…can we have some privacy please?” He asked the crowd, showing some hesitation at first.
The crowd echoed whispers about the situation and walked away. Leaving the two to stand alone in silence. He looked to the ground, as did she. Then he looked up at her with a guilty look. She never moved, looking down and closed her eyes.
“This is foolish,” He finally broke the silence and started, “What are we doing?” She said nothing.
He looks at her, bending his head to see her eyes, but failed. “Are we breaking up?” He asked.
She played in the dirt with her shoe and looked up. She opened and closed her mouth in hesitation as if it were difficult to find words.
“I don't feel this relationship is working.” She finally found words, “I think we should. It would only be best.”
He nodded and closed his eyes quickly and bit his lip. Played with some spit in his mouth. Then he paused, and looked at her, “Fine, just don't come crawling back to me!” With that said, he turned to walk away.
She watched him go. She felt strange for a minute, like, she felt sorry for him. Feeling guilty she turned the other way and walked to her car.
