The Trapped

 

 

Kagome sighed and absently played with a strand of her hair. “Sango,” She said, “Maybe we should head for a village?” Sango nodded. “I suppose so; Inuyasha can probably pick up your scent from anywhere. I hope.” The elder girl patted the two tailed, neko youkai. “Can you give us a lift, Kirara?” Kirara mewed and transformed into her larger self. After Kagome had properly adjusted herself, they leapt into the air.

Inuyasha sniffed the air hopefully…but there was still no hint of Kagome's or Sango's scent. Even Kirara's scent was missing. “Damn.” He cursed, hopping out of the tree he was in. Shippou walked up to Inuyasha and tugged on his clothes. “Outo-san, (father) when will we find Sango and okaa-san (mother)?” “Soon, I hope.” Miroku answered for him, throwing a branch into the fire. The hanyou remained quiet as he jumped back into the tree and closed his eyes. “Dammit. I've got to find Kagome soon.” He thought to himself. “If anything happened to her, I don't know what I'd do…”
