Chapter Two: I've Got To Change…
Kagome got up on Saturday morning to find her mom in the kitchen making breakfast.
“Hi mom,” she said.
“Hi sweetheart,” she answered. She finished fixing the food and handed Kagome a plate.
“Where's your brother?” her mom asked.
Kagome took the time to remember the message from the fridge. “He's at Johnny's,” Kagome answered.
“Well that's unfortunate,” her mom, Kaori, answered. “I was going to make chicken for us this weekend, but if he's not here, I'll make it tomorrow for you and Sango.”
Kagome smiled. She loved it when her mom would plan to make something and her brother wasn't there. Kagome and Sango, her best friend, would get all of the food that he liked: barbequed chicken, apple pie, homemade ramen, and her mom's “famous” pudding brownies, which were homemade brownies with a layer of chocolate pudding and a layer of whipped cream on top.
“Sounds good,” she answered. She and Sango hung out every Sunday together, and nearly every Saturday. They sometimes even had Sango's boyfriend Miroku with them as well. Miroku, Sango, and Kagome had known each other for years. Sango and Miroku met each other in second grade and Sango and Kagome met when they were toddlers, growing up in the same neighborhood. Sango had introduced Kagome to Miroku after they became friends in second grade. The three had been friends ever since.
Miroku and Sango had started dating at the second year of middle school. They were an inseparable couple. Miroku was a flirter, but Sango always ignored that. Kagome and Sango would normally smack him and drag him off, or constantly text him until he had to stop talking to the girl for one reason or another.
Kagome didn't have a boyfriend back then. This guy named Hojo had asked her before, but she turned him down because one of the girls in her dance class liked him. Koga, one of the bad boys of the school, had asked her out the January of the school year before. He was a fifth year senior. It was now October.
Her mom didn't really mind the relationship, but she also didn't really like Koga. Sota, Kagome's brother, had only had three girlfriends his whole life and the one he was dating now was the only one their mom liked.
`Too bad she doesn't know about their weekend `dates' together,' Kagome thought. She smirked and quickly hid it before her mom looked at her again.
“How about you see if Sango would want to come over today?” Kaori asked. “We have nothing to do, so go and text her or something.”
Kagome giggled. She nodded and made her way to the computer in the living room. She placed her breakfast in front of her and signed into the IM.

She rolled her eyes at her password and screen name. The e-mail was made by her mom so long ago. She was glad the site let her make more than one screen name for the same mailbox. She was going to make a different one soon. Koga didn't like her e-mail.
She looked at the list, looking for who was on.

Kagome smiled. Sango was on. She instantly clicked “Send IM” and started typing.
Kagi: Hey Sango!!!!!!!!!!! What's up????
She giggled as she hit send and waited. She picked up her fork and took a bite of food and then another messenger box popped up.
Monk Drop-Out: Hey Kagi!!! Wat's goin on?
Kagome almost spit out her food in surprise and in the fit of giggles she was having. She put down the fork and started typing.
Kagi: Not much Miroku.
Kagi: Hold on a second. I'm gonna three-way you, me, and sango.
Kagome quickly clicked “Conference” on the messenger and invited the other two to join.
Kagi: Hi peeps!
Monk Drop-Out: Hi girlz!
DemonSlayer2: Hi you two
Kagi: Still hooked on that video game Sango?
DemonSlayer2: OF COURSE!!! I can't live without my Demon Slayer video games!!!!!!
Kagi: *sweatdrop*
Kagome was just about to send her next line when Miroku's big line popped up on the messenger:
Monk Drop-Out: SANGO!!! I LOVE YOU MY DEAREST!!!! (~*Imagine this in 22 font*~)
Kagi: Too much to come and stay with me tonight?
There was a pause from all three ends of the conversation. Then Kagome spoke up.
Kagi: You have a problem Miroku.
Monk Drop-Out: NO! I just really love my girlfriend! ^_^
DemonSlayer2 has a sweatdrop.
Kagi: Are you using those action things again Sango?
DemonSlayer2: Yeah. I made this one last night when I was talking to my brother. He's still at that camp.
Kagi: I thought they'd be back by now.
DemonSlayer2: I did too. But we got a call saying that they'll be home in two days and they'll be back in school on Wednesday. They're giving them some resting time before starting up again.
Monk Drop-Out: That fall break camp trip thingy, right?
Kagi: Uhuh………
DemonSlayer2: Why am I going out with you?
Monk Drop-Out: BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME!!! DON'T YOU LOVE ME ANYMORE SANGO???????
Kagome giggled as she kept eating her food. A new message was on her private chat with Sango.
DemonSlayer2: Beginning to have my doubts…LMAO
Kagome swallowed her food and laughed. She typed back “LOL” and turned to see her mom standing in the kitchen doorway.
“What's so funny?” she asked, smiling.
“Sango and Miroku on the chat,” Kagome said. Her mom smiled her “That figures” smile and went to sit on the couch with her breakfast. She sat as close to the computer as possible. Kagome and her mom were close so her mom normally would put her two cents into a chat conversation. Especially if it was Sango and/or Miroku.
DemonSlayer2: So what were you saying Kagi?
Monk Drop-Out: SANGO!!!!!!! *whimper*
Kagome giggled and typed back.
Kagi: Well, Mom wants to know if you would like to come over tonight Sango.
Her mom was now up and looking over her shoulder.
“Tell her I'm making barbequed chicken,” she said as she got a bite off of her plate. “And Miroku can come if he wants to.” She sat back on the couch as her phone starting ringing for a received text.
Kagome smiled and continued typing.
Kagi: She said because she's making barbequed chicken. Sota isn't here this weekend.
She waited, eating her food fast to fill her growling belly. Kagome got up and went to the kitchen as she finished eating. She rinsed her plate and fork and placed them in the sink.
“Oh Kagome!” her mom called.
“What?” she asked back. She grabbed a soda from the fridge and walked back into the living room.
“I wanted to say I'm proud of you and really surprised that you cleaned THE WHOLE house,” Kaori said. “You didn't have to sweetheart.”
“I was bored,” Kagome said. “And the house felt claustrophobic with all of the stuff everywhere.”
“You could have left something for Sota or me to do,” her mom said.
“I did,” Kagome said. “The next week's worth of chores.” Her mom smirked and shook her head at her daughter's sarcasm. “And I NEVER clean under yours or Sota's beds. You guys can do that yourselves.”
Kaori chuckled as Kagome sat back down at the computer and looked at the messages left for her.
DemonSlayer2: Sounds fun Kagome. I'll come over in the afternoon. I just have to find my overnight bag. LOL
Monk Drop-Out: SANGO!!!!!!!
Monk Drop-Out: KAGOME!!!!! CAN I COME TOO!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Kagome laughed at the messages and began to type back.
Kagi: Yes Miroku you can.
Kagi: And that's funny Sango. I think you should really bring it to take home your clothes in the drawer.
She giggled and waited.
DemonSlayer2: Yeah yeah. I'll bring them home this time.
DemonSlayer2: I'll be over in an hour, kay?
Monk Drop-Out: I'll be there too!!!!!!!!!!
Monk Drop-Out: You girls aren't allowed to party without me!!!!!!
Kagome laughed hard before sending off her next messages. Her mom just stared at her and smiled.
Kagi: Okay. I'll see you guys when you get here.
Kagi: Talk to you in a little bit.
DemonSlayer2: See you in a little bit.
Monk Drop-Out: Bye Kagi!
Kagome clicked off the conversation and soon she saw the messenger telling her that the two had signed off. She quickly signed off herself and got up to start getting dressed.

“KAGI!”
“SAN-CHAN!”
The two girls laughed hysterically as Sango came into the house. They hugged and danced as they giggled. Kaori came in from the kitchen.
“You two never change, do you?” she asked.
“No way!” the two answered together. Kaori shook her head and rolled her eyes as she went back to the food on the stove.
“It smells really good Mama H,” Sango said as she took off her shoes. “Whatcha cooking?”
“Lunch,” Kaori said with sarcasm. “I'm making us cheeseburgers and fries. How's that sound?”
“Awesome,” Sango said back. She followed Kagome to her room, squeezing past Kaori at the stove.
“Good thing I don't have my bag,” Sango said. The girls giggled and Kaori rolled her eyes again. What was she going to do with these girls?
Sango dropped her purse on Kagome's bed and looked around. “It's really clean Kagi-chan.”
“Well, I went a little cleaning crazy yesterday,” Kagome said as she took a seat on her bed. The bed was a set of two full sized mattresses on a thick wooden frame that kept it close to the floor. The headboard of it was a series of shelves that Kagome kept her framed pictures and her collection of sensual novels.
Sango plopped down on the pink bedding. “What's with the pink Kags? You don't like…oh my god.” Sango looked at Kagome with wide eyes, full of fear. She said the next sentence in a hushed whisper. “He did it again? Kagi, you've gotta stop this!”
“I can't help it Sango,” Kagome cried softly. “It just feels so good.”
“What did I tell you? Just get Miroku to go buy you a vibrator. That way, you can get rid of the problem and not lose the pleasure.”
“I couldn't possibly do that Sango….” The black-haired girl was close to tears.
“Miroku wouldn't mind. His friend owns the toy shop.” Sango scooted closer to Kagome, rubbing her hand across her back.
“But…but…it's not that….”
“It's him, isn't it?”
“Koga would come after me. He won't let me be, ever. I never should have told him yes that day at the karaoke bar…”
She was overcome with massive sobs. Sango ceased her attentions just long enough to turn on the radio loudly. Kagome's sobs were nearly inaudible between the speakers and the sizzling sounds coming from the kitchen. The older girl held her friend tightly, stroking her hair. She couldn't stand this anymore. Koga had made Kagome cry one too many times, and she was going to find a way to stop it.
A few minutes later, Miroku walked in and was instantly consoling Kagome too. Sango told him the story and Kagome just cried harder. He sat on the floor and pulled his childhood friend into his lap. She clung to him as he swayed and whispered loudly in her ear, “Its okay. We're going to stop this. It'll all be okay Kagi.”
She buried her nose into his shoulder, her nails digging into his back. Sango got down next to them and rubbed Kagome's back. She rested her head on Miroku's other shoulder.
Kagome's friends began thinking up their own plans to get rid of the problem: the horny wolf Koga that stole their best friend's virginity and now shoves it in her face.

The two teens got Kagome calmed down enough that they were able to go out into the main room for lunch without any remnants of the cry attack. Sango had used acne cleansing pads to get the tear stains off her friend's face.
Everyone was laughing and messing around as usual in the living room.
“I want to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks!” Sango yelled at Miroku. She sat in the old recliner in the corner with her food.
“Why can't we watch Scary Movie 3, huh? It's just as good,” he asked back from his spot in the middle of the floor.
“Kagome!” Sango cried.
Kagome and her mother giggled from their spots on the couch. The girl sat closest to Sango and her mother was on the other end near the computer. The remote was in-between them.
“Please Kagome,” Miroku begged. “Just anything but what we are watching!”
She giggled again. They were watching A Baby Story. The woman was in full blown labor and screaming every 5 seconds.
“But Hoshi, you need to know where babies come from,” Kaori said playfully. The girls laughed. Sango's old nickname for Miroku had transferred to Kagome's mother and always got a laugh out of everyone.
Miroku pouted. “Can we PLEASE watch something else??”
Kaori reached over and switched the channel to “Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein”. Sango cheered and Miroku sighed. It wasn't what he wanted to watch, but it was better than seeing a woman give birth.

The three teens spent the afternoon playing a series of games on the big screen TV in the living room. Rock Band, American Idol, DDR, Halo, Gears of War, and even Monopoly. They stopped only to go to the restroom, because they even played while eating dinner.
Miroku left for home at 3 AM, getting a call from his parents that it was WAY too late and that he could just go back in the midmorning. He gave Sango a kiss and Kagome and her mother a hug and took his leave in his beat up old car.
“He is so weird,” Sango said.
“You're dating him,” Kagome shot back.
“You grew up with him,” her brunette friend countered.
“True true,” Kagome giggled.
!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!
Sango, Kagome, and Miroku were closer than just friends. They were like siblings with each other. That was until puberty, when Miroku realized that he loved Sango in a way that just wasn't brother/sister anymore.
The couple hated seeing Kagome alone, so they didn't act like a normal couple. Sure they would hold hands, kiss, and cuddle, but not around Kagome. She had told them that she didn't need them to do any of it, but they didn't want her to feel like the odd one out.
They had even asked Kagome if she was okay with their relationship before they officially started going out. The two really cared for her.
She met Koga her sophomore year. He was the school bad boy, but she just couldn't take her eyes off of him. He liked her, and she couldn't say no. They started dating in January, and on graduation night, he took her virginity. He made it passionate and loving; but that was the last time he ever did.
He never went back, and now his sex was hard and rough. That first time he let her cry out and moan. He even allowed her to scream. Koga now made it a rule that if she screamed, she had to give him a blow job. She really hated this because he always was rough on her, forcing her to deep throat him. He also would sit on her chest, smashing her breasts.
Now Kagome couldn't get out of the relationship. It was never ending. She was afraid to leave him. He had threatened her so many times that he would kill her if she left him; that he would cut her up into little pieces. Or that he would kill her mother or burn her home. Even worse for her, is that he threatened to tell the school gossip that Kagome was a whore and a porn addict. She didn't want to be treated like that, so she stayed in the sex abusive relationship.

Sango and Kagome turned in for the night. Both dressed for bed and climbed into Kagome's bed. The brunette held Kagome from behind and whispered,
“I'm always gonna be here Kagi. We're never gonna leave you. I'm never gonna leave.”
Kagome nodded and cuddled back into her best friend and sighed.
`I've got to change my life.'
Author Note:
Finally! I update! Yay! It's been awhile, and I'm sorry. I was in my school's musical and I had a butt load of homework almost every night, and sometimes I even helped my mom at work (I live above where we work, so it all works out). And I had a huge writers block. I got off the internet today and I just wanted to write, so I noticed that I had a comment on this story, so I decided to work on this one. And now it's done! YAY!
I hoped you liked it! R & R please!
