Chapter 10: The Reunion

It was very early next morning when Sesshomaru arrived back at his castle with Shippo on his tail as he landed in his courtyard he walked inside then to a privet room that was next to Rin's on the Second level and then made his way to his master chamber. Inside Kagome had fallen asleep and was curled up into a loose ball and was tossing and turning in what seemed like pain as her scent was heavily laced with fear.

 

“No…keep away from me…Inuyasha…” Kagome whimpered, tossing and kicking out at the object in her mind.

 

`She dreams of my brother…' For some unknown reason that still made him feel uneasy.

 

“Sesshomaru…help me…he going to kill me please help…Stop Inuyasha…

 

AHAHAHAH!!!!” She screamed out loud enough for the entire castle to be awoken. She woke panting and crying, scared of the dream.

 

Sesshomaru sat down on his bed and pulled her into his lap. Using his dog like purr he calmed her down as he rubbed small on her back. “What happen?”

 

Kagome whimpered, “Inuyasha…he tried to kill me…he said that it was better for us to both be dead where we could be together”

 

“This one will not let the baka near you”

 

“But he's my friend…and I've always loved him…” Sesshomaru slightly tighten his grip on her as his beast was telling him for lay claim to her again for those words. “…as a sister to a brother, he could never see the difference between me and Kikyo.”

 

Sesshomaru relaxed. `Only as a brother…that's what he in now to her…' “Sleep now there is someone here to see you.” Leaning into him Kagome fell back into a dreamless sleep. Several hours later there was a nock on their door. “Enter”

 

Rin followed by a very scared Shippo walked in. “Lord Sesshomaru, Rin and Shippo wanted to see Kagome!” Raising an eyebrow at the scared kit he then nodded his head as

 

Rin pulled Shippo to the bed.

 

*Purring* “Kagome, Kagome wake up.”

 

“It to early can't I go back to sleep.” She pouted from beside him as she tried to hide in the pillows.

 

“Kagome!”

 

That got her attention and she was up in a flash as the oregen jumped into her awaiting arms. “Shippo! When did you get here?”

 

“Sesshomaru brought me here last nigh after we went to see Totosai and this morning I awoke with Rin shacking me.”

 

“Thank you Sesshomaru this means a lot to me.” Kagome kissed him on the check again then got up to go and get breakfast for her and the 2 children that most now saw her as a mother. As they left Sesshomaru sat there in a slight daze trying to still trying to figure out just how this young mortal…well not so mortal girl had work her way into his heart. No matter how he tried to figure it out the answer still eludid him.

 

“Sesshomaru are you coming down for breakfast?” Kagome called out from the halway. Brough from his own mind wandering he lead them down to the dinning room. Sesshomaru had it in mind that he would began travel a week from now.
