Chapter one:
We live our lives standing frozen.
Unable to cry out, for eternity...
Unable to cry out, for eternity...
A little ball of fur was clinging to my leg while, my good, you could probably say best friend, had her arms wrapped around my small waist. The sky cried raindrops, while the group cried tears. I Higurashi, Kagome had decided now, that Naraku was dead and Inu Yasha planned to make his decent into the depths of hell with Kikyou, that I should return to my own time, and continue my life normally to the best of my ability. I would never turn back, that would bring to much pain. The well would be destroyed to save me from any painful temptation. Sengoku Jidai wasn't meant for me, Kagome Higurashi.
Sango had her head buried in my shoulder crying hot tears that contrasted greatly with the skies cold raindrops. " Kagome-chan it is like I am doomed to lose those whom I love!"
"Sango-chan you still have Miroku-sama, Shippou-chan, and Keada, ne?" I ran my hand through her hair while I used my other hand to pat her back. I cooed in her ear trying to calm her as I often did with Shippou. The rain picked up with Sango's sobs.
Miroku stood a few feet away watching the two girls. He too would greatly miss Kagome. He also knew Inu Yasha would also. Miroku's eyes went up to the trees. He knew somehow that Inu Yasha was in one of those trees watching her, because she would forever be his Kagome or so Miroku thought.
I finally pulled away from Sango. You wouldn't be able to tell the girl standing opposite of me had been crying if not for her puffy swollen red rimmed eyes. The rain mixed and mingled with her salty tears.
"Sango you are forever in my heart, you are the best friend I have ever had. Sayou nara..." My eyes were misty as I then turned to the monk. I nearly chuckled as I stepped and nearly tripped due to the little kit that still clung to my leg, I decided that I would say my sayou nara to him last. I stepped in front of Miroku. Right behind me was the lip of the bone eaters well. He looked very sexy (Did I really just think that?!) standing there with the rain falling down onto him. Thunder began to make its cry, and I was sure that I needed to leave before the storm really began to pick up.
"Miro-," I had just started but halfway through saying his name, he groped me. I was shocked by the feel of his hand on my buttocks and jumped back, teetering over the edge of the well. Shippou crawled up my body to perch upon my shoulder, shouting at Miroku about his lecherous ways. I thrust out my hand and grabbed Miroku's robes in a desperate attempt not to fall over the edge, but I only succeeded in pulling him down into the well with me. His weight was pressing down on me and I feared I would be crushed. Then my petty worries were gone. The last things I really could make out were: a blur of red jumping from a tree screaming my name, Sango running towards the well her hand outstretched calling for mine, Miroku on top of me, and a bright flash of lightning striking the well.
I sat up rubbing my throbbing head... I had been laying on something firm, yet soft. I twisted my back to see exactly what it had been. I sucked in air quickly in a gasp, it was Miroku. I then looked down my body and stopped at my stomach where Shippou was laying curled in a little ball.
"Ano...What happened, ka?" I looked up expecting to see Sengoku Jidai's glorious skies, but in its place was the dull brown color of the well house's ceiling. I looked back down at Miroku, doing a double take. I wasn't sure if he was really there or if I was hallucinating.
"I must be hallucinating, there is no way he can come to my side of the well!" I thought aloud holding my head in my hands. I felt the body below me begin to stir. I jumped up taking Shippou with me. I pressed the kit against my chest.
"Kagome-sama, ka? Would you please return to your previous position on top of me?" He gave her one of those annoyingly innocent smiles. Now his gaze drifted to the ceiling. His eyes grew as big as saucers when he did not see the sky. "Nani? What exactly happened? Where am I?" His voice became light and feathery as he spoke the question.
"Miroku..." My voice trailed off, "Maybe we should get out of the well to think," I suggested and began to look for a good patch of vines to climb up. Then I felt strong hands encircle my waist from behind me and lift my sore body up. I slipped my leg over the lip of the well, and rested my feet on the ground, I placed Shippou on the dirt floor. I twisted my body around and offered Miroku my hand. He took and I stood and leaned back in hopes of helping him, reach the top of the well. My effort definitely got him out of the well and sent him toppling forward onto me. Once again for the second time today I felt his weight press down onto me. His body was warm and soft and- mental slap
He inhaled deeply. Her hair it smelled...nice. That was really the only way to describe it. Her stormy colored eyes were looking down at him. Normally he would be enthralled by their positions, but at the current time he was slightly worried about his current location. She quickly jumped off of him anyway. Once again he was aware of the mucky colored ceiling of the well house. What had happened to the amazingly beautiful and angelic place he had just been in...
I sat up. Well that right there had been pretty awkward. I coughed and averted my eyes from his. I in fact, in turn focused on anything but him. He then stood and walked to the edge of the well and looked down into it.
"So-" Miroku trailed off breaking the odd silence. "What exactly happened?" Miroku looked up taking in his surroundings. He could tell beyond the walls of this confinement there was light - bright shinning beautiful light and for some reason that thought sent his eyes over to Kagome.
I stepped forward next to Miroku close enough to touch hi-
I looked down into the well. "I- I don't know,"
"Is this your time, ne?" Miroku said turning his violet eyes back to the well's bottom.
"Hai," I nodded my head. "Should we try going back through, ka?"
Miroku looked up at me for a brief second. "Hai I suppose,"

Miroku looked up at me for a brief second. "Hai I suppose,"
He then placed Shippou into my arms from the floor, stepped up onto the lip of the well and offered his hand to me. A/n: Whenever I picture this, I picture that one scene from Aladdin were he is stepping onto carpet and giving Jasmine his hand before they fly off Cue music I took it and too stepped onto the well's rim. He put his arms around my waist.
"We will have to be close I suppose, ka?" He said looking down into the well but I detected just the slightest gleam of mischief in his eyes.
"Well I guess," I looked down and pressed my body close to his. "Let's go," and with that we stepped of the well's edge. Both our bodies turned so our stomachs were starring down at the dirt bottom of the well.

The bright whirls of lights enveloped and surrounded the three as they landed with grace on the other side of the well... YEAH RIGHT! A/n: I really hope you didn't fall for that, I mean this is my fic!
I felt my whole body crash down. Bone smashing hard down upon bone. I let out a little scream. I felt Miroku beside me, I also heard his short labored gasps, he was fighting for air.
"Well," he wheezed, "that was about the equivalent to the amount of pain Hiraikotsu can bring me. I promise you that thing is the spawn of Naraku," He scowled then rolled on his side.
I would've giggled at his joke. I would've jumped up to see if he was all right. I would've found Shippou and cradled him. But my body was lifeless. I rolled over onto my back expecting to see Sengoku Jidai. What I saw made me gasp and jump up despite the shock wave of stabbing pains that coursed through my body.
Miroku then too turned on his back half expecting to see an enraged Inu Yasha as the cause of Kagome's shock. But he wasn't prepared for what he saw. "No..." He breathed as he looked at the dull brown of the well house's ceiling. A/n: Déjà vu "Kagome-sama," fear grew in his voice.
"No," I was terrified how could this have happened?! I once again began climbing out of the well. Upon reaching the top I turned around to take an uplifted Shippou from Miroku's hands. The kawaii kitsune was still unconscious but its current state made it look like it was just slumbering,
Miroku now joined Kagome on the lip of the well. Miroku now began contemplating the situation. 'I am stuck in Kagome's time? Sure there are prospects but I was enjoying my curse free life in Sengoku Jidai.' Sigh He looked over at Kagome. Her head was bowed as if she were in complete defeat. "Ano...Miroku-sama do you think I should try to cross over alone, ka?" I looked up at his deep violet eyes. He brought his formerly cursed hand up to his chin as a sign that he was in thought. "Hai maybe if you can cross over the others will know what to do..." Barely after he had finished his sentence Kagome had jumped into the well....
THUD
He cringed. "Daijobu, ka?"
I was lying face down into the dirt bottom of the well. I mumbled into the ground, "Daijobu." I heard Miroku call to me, "Nani, ka? Kagome-chan, daijobu, ka?" I now flipped over onto my back and yelled up at him, "Hai daijobu!" I coughed trying to remove the dusty dirt that seemed to have made a layer onto my lungs. I reached up to grab the vines that had formed intricate designs over the many years.(And when I say many I mean MANY.) Miroku leaned forward into the well reaching for me. He helped me climb until he could reach my waist and he wrapped his arms around it and lifted me up and out of the well. I felt miraculously lite when he was holding me. He pulled my body up against his. I buried my head in his chest for a moment then jumped back, surprised with myself. "Ano..." I mumbled blushing and looking down. "I think we should go into my family shrine to try and figure out exactly what is going on," I turned and stepped out of the well house into warm, bright, radiant light.
Miroku walked behind her his eyes on....well her behind.
Twitch, twitch Must.Not.Grope!
He skillfully reached his hand out and caressed her ass.
That's when I felt it, a hand upon my butt, caressing it even. In a heartbeat I had turned and smacked Miroku across the head. "You lech!" I screeched. I was fuming. "It was the same behavior that got us into this mess!"
"Gomen nasai," He looked at her and then closed the distance between them until his face was mere centimeters from her face and their warm breath mingled. "I can't resist such a megami as yourself," He then stepped around her.
I found myself quite flustered as I turned and took my place in front of him, leading him to my home. Right as I began to open the door I heard a loud cry.
"KAGOME! WHERE ARE YOU?!" I gasped.
"We left Shippou!" I took off running to the well house. Miroku stood there chuckling waiting for Kagome and Shippou to return.
"We left Shippou!" I took off running to the well house. Miroku stood there chuckling waiting for Kagome and Shippou to return.
Kagome returned moments later carrying a pouting Shippou in her arms. She was making him promises of pocky to gain his forgiveness. That's when Shippou spotted Miroku... And there he went...
"Why is he here? Why am I here? Where are we? Are Sango and Kirara here too? What about Inu Yasha? Kaeda? IS there a lot of pocky here? Are there demons?" And his little mouth went on and on without a breath. Kagome's eyes began swirling.
In turn after my headache had subsided I answered Shippou's numerous questions and I then explained to him the problem we were facing about not being able to cross over.
Shippou jumped up at this. "No Inu Yasha? That means Miroku can be my daddy! I liked him better anyway! And- and I get to stay with you Kagome!" He was brimming with excitement.
I had decided to ignore the 'Miroku can be my daddy comment' but of course no one planned on letting me off that easy.
"You will be my new daddy won't you, Miroku, ne?" Shippou looked up at him pouting.
I was just about to interject my defense into the conversation when Miroku wrapped his arms around me. "Of course Shippou-chan! Kagome and I will be happy to parent you!"
"Humph!" Was all I could say at the moment. I was so flustered and aggravated I couldn't get a word in edge-wise. So I just pulled away and turned to stomp off into my house, but my smiling mother was blocking my way... Oh God how you must hate me...
"Okaasan," I meeped
"Kagome-chan why don't you your 'friends' come inside and explain to me what is going on," She was smiling at me with an amazingly huge smile. I sighed and looked over at Miroku with his smirk plastered all over his face. He now filled up the top one hundred slots on my hit list, mind you there were only one hundred slots now that Naraku was dead. I sighed dejectedly and followed my mother and motioned for the others to do the same.
