The bike sped along the dusty, dirt road. As it hit the slight bumps, the wheel deflated somewhat. The rider wiped her sweaty brow as the glaring sun beats upon these poor souls. The bike reflectors shine as the sun stared down at them, taunting them in every way.

Five friends traveled this alone, with only enough food to last them four days. The trail was too long to make it to where they were going. The hiker’s names were known almost everywhere.

Kagome Higurashi. She is from the year 2007. Falling into the well that her family had in their yard for the past 500 years, presented her here today. Tired, and dying of thirst. As she fell into the well, the centipede demon that was chasing her caused her to run into a young demon, stuck to the Sacred Tree. His name was Inuyasha.

Inuyasha is a hanyou, or a half-demon. 500 years ago, he stole the Shikon No Tama, or otherwise known as the Sacred Jewel. To become full demon, he had to use this jewel to make it happen. His so called “Girlfriend”, Kikyo, thought that he was going to use the Jewel to do terrible things, so she pinned him to the tree with an arrow. There Inuyasha slept for over 50 years.

Miroku had also joined them on this journey. He is a monk who is extremely flirtatious. Groping women is practically his job. His mentor, Mushin, brought him up. Miroku was placed with a curse that had caused his father to be sucked up into himself, dying in the process. The Wind Tunnel. Naraku placed it on their family. Slowly, but surely, it will suck him in if the does not break the curse.

Sango joined the group shortly after. She was a warrior in her village. Defeating a large centipede demon caused her to receive one of the Jewel Shards. She met the crew and tagged along after losing her brother, Kohaku, to Naraku. He had been placed as one of his minions. Shortly after he was freed, one of the Lord’s archers shot him, dead.

Shippo, a full demon, is probably the cutest thing you ever saw. He stood about 3 feet tall. He has a bushy tail, and little dog ears. His enemy is the young Soten, another one of the cutest things. She is very childish, but very smart. She managed to separate Shippo from the rest of the gang with only a small dragon.

Kagome slammed her foot to stop the pink bike. She swung her foot over the seat, and collapsed under the nearest tree. Sighing, she leaned her head back and shut her eyes. They have been walking through this trail for days, and the high temperature is not making it any better.

She looked up, squinting so the sun was absent. Miroku stopped walking, and whispered into Sango’s ear. She looked back at Kagome, and she stopped walking. Inuyasha, oblivion to what was going on, kept on going.

“What is the matter, Kagome?” Miroku said, kneeling next to her. He pulled the hair from her face. “Are you alright?”

She looked up. Her once beautiful brown eyes were exhausted and waiting for an answer. She turned her head, and grimaced.

“I can’t take it anymore. This is pointless! We are never going to make it to the end of this trail. It goes on for hundreds of miles. Well, we’re never going to make it with me always having to stop.” She wiped the sweat from her face, and drank some water. “You should just leave me here. It’ll go faster.”

“No, we would never leave you here to breathe your last in this putrid sun. I think that I have a suggestion to help speed things along.”

Hachi, Miroku’s assistant, walked from behind Sango. He looked at the ground and shuffled his feet. His small, wolfish facial figures were somewhat worried. He did not say much except for, “I shall transmit you to the Village of the Lost.”

Kagome’s POV

Hachi transformed into the large yellow tadpole. Kagome jumped on its smooth back. They took off. As the wind blew through her hair, she looked at her friends that were still walking. Hachi was too tired to carry all five of them. She looked down at Inuyasha. She could probably spot his silver hair from a mile away.

Kagome stopped staring at them, laid on her back, and stared at the clouds. They were just floating up there like lost souls waiting for an answer. That was exactly how she felt, just waiting for answers.

Her eyes grew heavy, and she drifted off into a restless sleep. Her dreams were not pleasant.

In her dream, Kagome saw the demons all coming at her. She screamed, and reached for her arrows. There was nothing there but a bunch of air…

“Inuyasha? Sango? Miroku? SOMEONE OUT THERE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!”

As demons flew past her, she took one or two steps back. As the last demon came near her, she felt the edge of the ground. The ground underneath her crumbled and she fell through the air, screaming at the top of her lungs.

Inuyasha’s POV

As Kagome jumped up onto the tadpole. Inuyasha walked, and walked, and walked. He started to think about where they were heading. There was a large Jewel shard at this so called Village of the Lost. Why was this so far away even though we have been in contact with them?

As the yellow flying tadpole got higher, it provided shade for him. It felt much cooler to walk underneath Hachi.

“Wait a god damn second,” he whispered to himself. “How the hell did Hachi come with us, unnoticed?”

Kagome’s scent was getting lighter, since she was up in the air, and they were stuck down here. Inuyasha closed his eyes, and tried to cool himself off by thinking of things that made him happy.

‘Ramen. Ramen. Ramen. Ramen. Kagome. Ramen. Ramen. Ramen. Wait, did I just say Kagome?’

Inuyasha shook it off, and kept on walking.

All of a sudden, Kagome’s scent got stronger. He looked at Hachi. He was still about 100 feet in the air. So why was her scent stronger?

“KAGOME!” Sango shouted. Inuyasha looked up and stared in awe. She was falling through the air like a dead weight. He froze. He had no idea what to do. His mind was a complete blank.

All of a sudden, it came to him. He jumped from tree to tree, and grabbed Kagome just as she was about eight feet above the ground. Still asleep, Kagome had absolutely no thought of what was happening. Inuyasha sighed in relief, and Hachi turned back into the wolfish self that he always is.

“HACHI, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL! THAT COULD HAVE BEEN THE END OF HER LIFE! I’M GONNA GET YOU!” Inuyasha screamed. Kagome stirred.

“What’s going on? Did I miss anything?” Inuyasha put Kagome down, and started chasing Hachi.

“GET BACK HERE! I’M GONNA KILL YOU!”

“INUYASHA, SIT!”

Inuyasha’s head collided with the ground. Dirt filled his mouth, and pretty much everywhere else. He spat it out, and stood up. He looked at everyone, then he kept on walking.
