Chapter 6: Shopping

Disclaimer: Okay this disclaimer is for chapters 5 and 6 since I forgot last chapter.

seeks in Rumiko-sama's office and sees Inuyasha & co and bags em'. Seeks out but gets caught by rumiko and sercurity guard. Runs off yelling "their mine, their mine" before bumping into a brick wall. Inuyasha still doesn't belong to me, even after all that work.*sigh* On wit da fic.,

"Oh God. She passed out. Well I gotta get her out of here." Inuyasha said while carrying Kagome out of the front door as Tishio started to stir. He closed the door behind him and walked to his car. As he started the car he heard Kagome's father yelling for him to bring his daughter back, and that he wasn't finished with her yet. Inuyasha of course ignored him and drove the car to his house.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Hiragana residance

"Inuyasha man, the teacher was heated when you left and did'nt come ba--." Miroku stopped in the middle of his sentence when he saw what Inuyasha had in his hands.

"Hiragana you got some expla--." Sango also stopped looking at Inuyasha's hands.

"What the hell happened to her and who is she?" Sango and Miroku said together.

"Her name is Kagome Higurashi, and her dad is um, well you better sit down when I tell you this, but first let's get her change, cleaned and bandaged." Inuyasha said looking at her bloodied clothing and battered body.

"Hai!" Miroku and Sango said while getting up to do their part in helping the young woman. Sango ran her a bath, undressed her, washed her skin carefully, and got her a change of clothes. Miroku and Inuyasha bandaged her wounds since they had a lot of experience bandaging wounds, being aggressive boys and all. After they was done and Kagome was bandaged and set on the couch (keep in mind that she's unconscious while all of this is going on) Inuyasha starts to explain.

"Okay, when we were doing that assignment Kaede-sensei gave us she started to cry at that question about her parents, because her mom is dead, that's why she asked to be excused. Anyway I followed her to make sure she was okay, and she started crying again, so I did the comforting thing and hugged her until she calmed down. It turns out while we were hugging she dropped her ring, so I returned it after she got called down to the office. When I got outside there was her dad dragging her like a rag doll to their car. I gave her the ring she goes pale and starts trembling and her dad turns red real quick, takes the ring and continues to drag her to the car. I get suspicious and follow them. I lost them for awhile because, oh nevermind. Anyway I pick-up her scent and follow it. As I get closer her scent sends off waves of fear, big time. So I walk in the door, it was unlocked, and see her there beaten up, and her dad is hovering over her groping her. I'm all like 'What the F***!' I go in punch him in the face, pick up Kagome and drove here." Inuyasha said taking a long breath after finishing the story.

"Oh my goodness. The poor thing, I feel so sorry for her. How can someone do that? It's inhumane!" Sango said hysterically, almost in tears. Miroku just stood there mouth wide open.

'Thank God I didn't believe her when she said she fell and bruised her face.' Inuyasha thought to him self.

Oh Inu, I gotta go, my dad's gonna be pissed. I just wanted to make sure you were fine." Miroku said flying out the door. Sango following the suit saying her brother had to be picked up from soccer practice. (Sango plays soccer and had an extra pair of clothes to practice in, but didn't use them because she skipped practice. In case you were wondering)

After they left Kagome started to stir. "Huh, where am I? Oh God don't tell me I'm still at home and that me getting saved was a horrible nightmare!" she said burying her face in her hands, ignoring the pain from them. She didn't look around or she would have seen the hanyou boy coming towards her.

"Kagome, it's gonna be alright. You won't get you anymore I won't let him! Inuyasha declared hugging the girl and rubbing her back, similar to how he did in the school.

"Inuyasha, you saved me? Thank you so much, but I believe that if I don't leave right now daddy's gonna be very upset. Goodbye." She said getting up to leave. He grabbed her wrist to stop her and said,

"Who said anything about leaving? You're gonna stay here with me, and you'll never have to see that bastard again." Kagome looked beyond happy.

"Oh my goodness, thank you so much. Never have to see him again." Kagome said beaming, but then she remembered the last time she tried to leave, it resulted in her mother's death. Now she was crying again. "I'm sorry Inuyasha, I can't stay. If I do, he's gonna try and get me and won't stop at anything to get me. I really would love to stay, you're the only one that makes me feel safe, and warm. You're the only person to care or worry about me since mama died. Even if we only met each other a couple of hours ago, I still feel the most safe around you. Thank you for letting me feel that once more in my lifetime." She finished by kissing him on the cheek and leaving the living room to go out the front door.

'Wow her lips are soft. Wh-what she's leaving.' "Wait Kagome, don't leave." He said grabbing her arm, "Thank you, and you make me feel like I have something worth living if I can protect you, please don't take that away. I'll make sure he doesn't get you, just please stay." Inuyasha finished bringing her into another hug.

"Okay, I'll stay, but what about clothes and other things like that. I sure can't buy them; I mean I'm covered in bandages. How about I give you my sizes and you get them?" she asked proud of her-self for being so straight forward, something she hadn't done since her mom died. 'No not now. I was saved I will not cry again over her death.' Kagome her-self.

"Okay that sounds cool." Inuyasha said, while taking her sizes down. "I'll be right back don't answer the door or the phone to anyone. Bye." He said while going out the door. 'Wow, that is one amazing girl. I would expect her to be have a nervous break down or something, but she seems fine.' Inuyasha thought to him-self. ' she is also very pretty, even with a bruised face.' He thought. 'Stop that, you can't go all soft if you want to protect her' the other voice said. 'Yes I can, and I'm not going soft, now leave me alone, I got to get her clothes.' With that he turned off the car and went into the mall.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~3 hours and 14 shopping bags later

he didn't know her style so he picked up a couple of mini's, some shorts, capries and pants. A few sun dresses, a few formal dresses and some shoes and a pair of converses, Vans, Nike's, and some Addidas' cleats in case she was an avid soccer lover. 'Now for the tough part, lingerie.' He turned very red while he went to Victoria's Secret. 'Okay let's get this over with.' He declared in his head

~~~~~~~~~~~15 minutes and one red hanyou later

"Well that was interesting." He said to him-self after buying her 14 bra and panty sets. "Now time to go back home." He said to himself.

After he gave her the clothes she tried to refuse saying it was too much to spend on her, and he said that it doesn't matter to him because, he was rich. She said oh, and left it at that. He showed her to her room, which would be across from his, and got her settled in. By the time they finished packing it was 10:30, time to go to bed. She changed into the boxer pj's he got from her and went to bed.

"Kagome, we're not going to school the rest of the week, okay. That's where your dad will look first." Inuyasha said after saying goodnight.

"Goodnight Inuyasha, and thank you so much." She said snuggling into the covers drifting asleep.

"You're welcome." He said going into his room. (His parentals are dead, and Sessho-chan lives with his girlfriend. They are rich because their dad was and inu lives in a big house.

About 15 minutes later, Inuyasha heard wimpering from the other room. He jetted from bed and sped to her room. She was twisting and turning like she was having a nightmare.

"Kagome? Kagome wake up, you're having a nightmare." He said shaking her.

"Huh, wha happened?" she said waking up.

"You were having a nightmare." Inuyasha said.

"Yeah, I was. Well thank you." She said going back to sleep. As he got up to leave her hand shot out to pull him back.

"Don't leave me, please." She said half-awake. Inuyasha sighed, and crawled in the bed with her. She instinctively snuggled up to him, and he put his arms around her, pulling her closer to him. The last thing either of them thought before going to a dreamless sleep, was "Nice."
