In the past again, meeting again …

Kagome climbed on the wine which was growing on the wall of the well and extirpated her huge yellow bag. She sat a moment on the edge. The wind made her hair fly all around her. That made her be like, she was not real, or something from a fairytale maybe. Her ebony hair fly around her form but her eyes,… her eyes were cloudy.
She was submerged by all hers feelings and memories. Joy to be back but sadness too because she knew that they were almost all already gone, and she will never see them again, never be able to say goodbye,…
Finally, I'm back. She sighed.
Some tears were running slowly and silently from her eyes while a little smile appeared on her lips. Her feelings were all intermingled. She looked in the direction of the forest, his forest, InuYasha's forest. She will go to see the sacred tree, later, she promised to herself. So, she turned to the path which conduct to the village. It was already less visible than before. Her throat tightened.
Surely, because it is not used a lot now, she thought, feeling like something hit her heart at the same moment when this thought came into her mind. Of course, she was the one who used it, she berated herself, or InuYasha when he was coming to seek her, or the others,… Now, who would come here? no one! She gulped to try to easy her breathing. She took deep breathes to calm down. That would not do any good if the first time that they saw her since almost one year, she was crying. She brushed away her old tears.
She didn't know how long she stayed there, in the clearing, without a move, just thinking about the past, but when she started to walk towards the village, she heard some noises coming from bushes closed to her.
"Oh great, just great ! I just came back, I don't have my bow or arrows, and some youkai is already here to try to kill me… I'm really lucky ! "She said to herself sarcastically.
However, this presence, was she really here to kill her? And why this aura seemed to be so familiar?… It was at that moment, running towards her, that appeared…
"Kirara !! " Cried Kagome at the same time that the neko jumped in her arms.
Kagome had even left her bag fall on the ground. New tears were running freely on her cheeks when she petted the fur of the little youkai. The neko responded with a purr.
"I'm sorry of what happened (the neko raised the head and looked up at Kagome in her eyes), I should have been here…"
Kirara shook her head and did a noise which made clearly understand that she was not agreeing. She stretched and rubbed her nose on the cheek of Kagome. The young woman smiled. The fact that Kirara wasn't angry with her to not have been there for them, lift a little part of the guilty that was currently squeazing the poor young miko heart.
"let us see Kaede, ne? " she said the more joyful she could to eleviate some tension, when putting her backpack on her shoulders. Kirara made a noise of approval and jumped on one of her shoulders.
When they lead to the village, the neko passed her tongue a couple of times on the neck of kagome who stopped and giggled. It was like the tension was slowly disappearing of the young miko body.
" I'm happy to see you, and I have missed you too, Kirara. "
Kirara made another sound of contentement and they resumed their walk toward the village.

After a moment, they arrived in front of Kaede's hut. When approching, they saw a shadow behind the 'door' of the hut. That was at this moment that a little kitsune went out.
He raised his nose to smell the air deeply, then, he turned abruptly in their direction and frozed. During some seconds, he stayed without even made a move, his jaw touching the soil. Tears began to appear in his eyes.
Kagome stayed paralysed as well. When she saw his beautiful green eyes were clouding with tears little by little, her heart almost stopped. He must hate me so much, be really angry against me… But at least he is still alive and in good health.
What happened after, surprised her.
Leaving his torpor, Shippo started to run toward her and yelled :
" Kagome! Kagome! "
And jumped on her chest, Kagome almost rocking with the impact because of weight of her bag behind her. Kirara had jumped just in time for not being ejected.
" Shippo! " And she exploded in sobs. " Shippo, I missed you so much! I'm sorry to come back just now. You must be really angry at me and I understand but I have no choice I…"
" I'm not angry, I just can't believe you are really here with me and it is not just a dream…"
He raised his eyes toward hers and said. " Please, don't leave me alone again."
Kagome cried more at his words and she tightened him in her arms very powerfully. " Never again." She whispered softly in his ears.
At this time, they heard footsteps which was coming towards them. The old lady with white and red clothes arrived in front of them. Her one good eye opened wide in surprise.
" K-Kagome...? "
At this moment, Shippo jumped off of her arms so she could hug her.
" Kaede-sama ! "
" I have difficulties to believe that you are really back child, in front of me. When I felt your aura, I though I was dreaming but you are really here! Come, come in my hut you have a lot of things to know."
she looked her in the eyes seriously. " A lot of things you must to know. "
" I know, Kaede-sama, I know." murmured quietly Kagome.
The three of them went inside the hut.
