Chapter 5 A battle of Freedom

2 years later

 

The moon was full and the hunt was on. He would enjoy this greatly, trying to find his escaped prey. He looked up at the moon that seemed to mock him. `She will not be able to defy the need of fresh blood'. He thought as he sought out her scent. He could smell her she was near and oh so close to being found. And on top of that she was going into heat. The smell was tantalizing but from the scent he could tell that she was no longer innocent. He growled in anger as he set out on a run using his demon speed, to reach his destination faster. ` I'm coming for you Kagome.'

 

 

 

Her blood was boiling and the thirst to drink blood was becoming overwhelming she needed to feed and soon. Just in the past 12 hours she had drank 192 cc's of blood. But yet the thirst for more was still there. She could hear her comrades bickering and argueing like usual. The only voice she didn't hear was Hiei's, he was like her always quite and kept to themselves. She looked aroung to see Hiei approaching her. If it wasn't for the purple glasses she was wearing their eyes would have connected. But that didn't matter he could sense her bloodlust and knew she was close to losing control. Even the jagan eye and the black dragon on his arm could sense her hostility but found her to no threat to their master so they settled down back into their dormant state. She turned back around not able to stay focused to much around her.She heard a loud whistle but something only she seemed to able to hear. It was calling her demanding she follow it.

 

 

 

She placed her hand on her stomach trying to will away the pain of both being in heat and the immense drive to drink blood. The smell of jasmine and lavender assaulted Hiei's nose at full force. The smell of her being in heat was driving him crazy. Another scent hit his nose but it was unknown. He could tell by the powerful aura that it was a very powerful demon and they posed a threat. Hiei might not have known the scent but Kagome knew it very well. She had hoped that he would just leave her alone and find another to mate. But with his appearance in the Ningenkai she knew……….her father was dead gone from the world of the living.

 

 

 

She looked down and saw him the one who had caused all the pain and misery in her life……..Sesshomaru.

She heard the growl from Hiei behind her but chose to ignore him. `Stay out of this Hiei.' She calmly said before jumping just feet away from Sesshomaru. He helled his hand out for her to take but she stayed where she was. When she didn't come to him he growled in annoyance and narrowed his eyes at her. So the bitch intended to fight him, didn't matter she would be his soon enough. He watched as the fools that were earlier inside the house come out and that the other hybrid from ealier jumped down to joint them.

 

 

 

To make sure that no one interfered Kagome erected a barrier around her and Sesshomaru. She saw him visiably wince from the pain of the holy barrier.

 

“ The human blood in me is that of a priestess, think you can handle the pain of being purified Lord Sesshoamru.” She spat at him.

 

She extended her claws and charged at him, holy energy from them.

 

“ Insolent

 

He growled out at her while dogging her attack and sent out his light whip and it wrapped around her waist, poison searing into her flesh and causing a deep cut to form. She grabbed the whip sending perifieing energy into his body and destroying him from the inside out.

 

They all watched as the demon through his head back in pain and as he disappeared into a cloud of purifying energy. Before she collapsed Hiei caught her right before she lost consiosness.

 

 

 

AN Sorry if you didn't like sesshomaru dying but it had to happen and sorry for not giving you a better fighting scene but I tried my best. Please enjoy and please no flames. Pweeeeeeeeeese
