Summary: -One-shot. Lemon-. One night, Kagome makes a final decision about the love triangle between Inuyasha, Kikyo, and herself. She left behing a poem, explaining about what she was going to do. Inuyasha finds it and proves to Kagome how much she means to him.

Kagome took a last glance at the sheet of paper she had put ontop of the herbs. She knew that they would find it there. She left, masking her scent. Lady Kaede had taught her how to do that and defend herself so she could kill a one-level and two-level demons.
Just the thought of Lady Kaede brought new tears to her eyes. She quickly wiped them away. 'This is no time for cold feet.' the young miko thought as she continued to walk away from Goshinhboku, the well, and Lady Kaede's village. Kagome walked towards a cliff that she had found the other day.
'Good thing that Sango and Miroku are at their huts and Inuyasha went hunting.' Kagome thought. They had already defeated Naraku. Kagura had escaped and now they were searching for her since she has Kohaku with her. Kikyo still roams the earth, hoping she could drag Inuyasha to Hell with her. Kanna had died the day Naraku did.
Sango and Miroku had married. Right now, Sango was a couple of weeks pregnant. That's right. She was going to have a baby boy. They had their own hut, a couple of feet away from Lady Kaede's hut, which Kagome, Inuyasha, and Shippo were currently occuping. Kagome began to sob at the thought of her son, Shippo.
He already lost his real parents. Now, he was going to lose his adopted mother.
Kagome knew that the cliff was nearing. She looked back and saw all the people that she loved would suffer, except Inuyasha. She knew he would be happy with Kikyo. Then, he could use the Shikon No Tama to become full demon or human and have a family with Kikyo.
Kagome ran all the way to the cliff. When she got there, she stopped to enjoy the sunset. In about 10 minutes, she would end it....................

Inuyasha entered the hut and immediately knew something was wrong. Kagome wasn't there and neither was the old hag. He saw that the hut was cold, lonely, and quite depressing. He sniffed and found Kagome's scent. It was a couple of minutes old, like she left about 10 minutes ago. Inuyasha ran to Miroku's and Sango's hut.
"OI MONK!!!! TAIJIYA!!" Inuyasha called Miroku and Sango. They came out of the hut, with Shippo and Kirara right behind them.
"What's wrong Inuyasha? Why are you yelling?" Miroku asked.
"Yeah, Inuyasha. Where's the fire?" Shippo asked. Over the last two years, he grew. Now he came to Inuyasha's hip.
"It's Kagome. She's not at the hut and I know she's not with the old hag because I just saw her. Where is she?" Inuyasha asked impatiently.

"How would I know!" Inuyasha snapped. "Stupid wench! When I find her, I am going to......" 'Crush you in my arms and never let you go.' Inuyasha finished the sentence in his head. He nkew that Kagome could never love a dirty half-breed like him.
"Yes Inuyasha?" Miroku asked. Sango slapped him upside the head. "ITAI!! All I wanted to know was the rest of his threat."
"Idiot." Shippo murmured. Inuyasha rolled his eyes.
"Can we get back to the subject and find Kagome?" Shippo asked. Sango amd Miroku stopped argueing and looked at Shippo. They straightened themselves up before agreeing.
"Are we sure that you guys are actually married?" Inuyasha asked.
"We got proof Inuyasha. I mean look at Sango's stomache. How do you think it got that way?" Miroku asked. Sango blushed and hit him hard.
"Trust me, I remeber the sounds." Inuyasha said. Sango blushed furiously.
"Guys? Kagome?" Sango asked, trying to change the subject.
"I'll look around the well, Goshinboku, and the see if she left anything that said where she was going. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo, you guys ask around the village." Inuyasha said. They nodded and got to work.
X- Half an Hour Later
Inuyasha had sniffed all around and not found a single thing. He went to Kagome's era and found that she hadn't been there either. Inuyasha decied to go back to the hut and there he saw Miroku and Sango chatting silently.
"What happened?" Inuyasha asked. Miroku looked at him and stood up.
"We found a paper with your name on it. It looks like Lady Kagome's handwriting." Miroku said. Inuyasha walked over to him and snatched the paper form him.
"What does it say?" Inuyasha asked.
"We don't know. We repected your privacy and didn't open it." Sango said.
"Thanks you guys. I'll take it from here. You, the runt, and the monk can go back to your hut. I'll call if I need you three." Sango said to Inuyasha. They nodded and left. Inuyasha slit the letter opened, using his claw. The letter was actually a poem. It read (This is amy poem. I wrote it. Copy it from me and I will press charges)-
I thought loved would always last
Together, I thought we had a blast
Now I know it's all in the past
Everything happened so fast

Inuayasha sniffed the paper and smelled salt. 'She was crying when she wrote this.' Inuyasha thought. Then, Inuyasha remembered two lines from the poem.
My final thought was about how much I love you
And I will continue to love you even though I am gone
'She wouldn't dare!' Inuyasha thought. "She would."
That was all that was said before Inuyasha ran out of the hut, lookng everywhere for her, when he remembered about a cliff that she had told her about.
X- Flashback
"Hey Inuyasha?" Kagome asked. They were sitting in a clearing, enjoying the breeze.
"What wench?" Inuyasha asked.
"Did you know that there was a cliff nearby Lady Kaede's hut? About a 20 to 30 minute run." Kagome said, ignoring the fact that he called her a wench.
"Nope. Should I care?" Inuyasha asked.
"Well, you should. It has a beautiful view. But you have to be careful because if you fall, you fell to your death." Kagome said.
"Feh." Inuyasha replied.

"THE CLIFF!!" Inuyasha yelled. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo came in after hearing Inuyasha's outburst.
"What's going on?" Miroku asked.
"Nothing. I'll be back in two days with Kagome. Don't wait up." Inuyasha said. He tore off from the hut, running away from the village, Goshinboku, and the well.
'Gods, I hope I'm not to late.' Inuyasha thought. He ran as fast as he could, ignoring the screaming musceles in his legs, begging him to slow down. He finally got there a couple of minutes after sundown. He saw a figure standing and letting the breeze go through her hair.
"Kagome." Inuyasha whispered. The figure gasped and turned around. Gold eyes met navy blue ones.
"Inuyasha." she whispered. Tears were running down her cheeks. He saw that she was dangerously close to the edge off the cliff. Inuyasha ran towards her and scooped her up in his arms.
"Wha-what are you doing?! Let me go!! Inuyasha!!!" Kagome screamed.
"Shut up, wench!!!" Inuyasha said. He feld to the Goshinboku. When they got there, he got onto his favorite branch. He set Kagome down on top of his lap. She kept squirming in his lap. Inuayasha sniffed the paper and smelled salt. 'She was crying when she wrote this.' Inuyasha thought. Then, Inuyasha remembered two lines from the poem.
My final thought was about how much I love you
And I will continue to love you even though I am gone

That was all that was said before Inuyasha ran out of the hut, lookng everywhere for her, when he remembered about a cliff that she had told her about.

"Hey Inuyasha?" Kagome asked. They were sitting in a clearing, enjoying the breeze.

"What's going on?" Miroku asked.
"Nothing. I'll be back in two days with Kagome. Don't wait up." Inuyasha said. He tore off from the hut, running away from the village, Goshinboku, and the well.
'Gods, I hope I'm not to late.' Inuyasha thought. He ran as fast as he could, ignoring the screaming musceles in his legs, begging him to slow down. He finally got there a couple of minutes after sundown. He saw a figure standing and letting the breeze go through her hair.
"Kagome." Inuyasha whispered. The figure gasped and turned around. Gold eyes met navy blue ones.
"Inuyasha." she whispered. Tears were running down her cheeks. He saw that she was dangerously close to the edge off the cliff. Inuyasha ran towards her and scooped her up in his arms.

"Plans changed. Kagome is here to hear what I have to say." Inuyasha said.
"Wait, you had this planned all along?" Kagome asked.
"Yup. I told her to meet me here. I said I was going to go to Hell with her, but actually, it's the complete opposite." Inuyasha said. Kikyo looked at him anf flew down from the tree.
"What are you talking about?" Kikyo asked. Inuyasha silently flexed his claws and gave Kikyo and some-what hug.
"It's time you died." And with that, Inuyasha plunged him claws into the dead miko's stomache. She gasped loudly.
"A second betrayel. How do-do we kno-know th-that you wo-won't betr-betray my re-reincarnation like you be-betrayed me?" She said with her last breath. "Kagome?" Inuyasha panicked. He hugged her, trying to calm her down. Kagome whimpered.
"It hurts." she said.
