Chapter 11 - Battle With Naraku
"Please let me pass, sir. I only wish to go home," said Nico in a very commanding
voice.
"I am afraid I can not do that, Kagome," stated Naraku.
"Look, I'm telling you as I told him," she nodded her head to the still unconscious
Bankotsu, "I'm not Kagome. My name is Nico. Now let me go."
The hiding trio took in another gasp. They thought this girl was Kagome. Then that
means she is from the future, like Kagome. But how did she get through the well. The
thoughts plagued the Inus.
Naraku took in the information given to him by the girl. Of course. That miko
Kagome could never deliver a blow powerful enough to take out a Shichinin Tai. Nor
could she ever make a move such as that and I doubt she would have the courage also.
He sniffed the air at her. She is only a human, but the power radiating from her is
incredible. She might be a worthy enough opponent for me. She would probably even
make a good mate. Naraku stiffened at this thought. Where had that come from. A mate?
He take a mate? He shook his head free of the thought, but he couldn't get over her
intoxicating scent. Maybe that's why that fool was going on about mating her. She smells
so sweet. Maybe I could take her and relieve myself at least. He had become highly
aroused by her scent and the though of her naked in his bed was almost too much.
"You will come with me wench!"
"WHAT! You can't be serious. I'm NOT Kagome!"
"That does not matter anymore. I shall get that wench another time. I still want
you."
"Well guess what? You can't have me. I'm out of here."
"That is what you think, wench."
Naraku through a vine at her, but Nico dodged it by jumping into the air. She
landed back in her original stance. Naraku smiled. She's fast and strong. I will have much
fun with her. Again he launched a vine at her. She dodged again but this time Naraku sent
another one her way as she was evading the first. She sensed it in at the last second and
she jumped off the first vine to avoid the second. Naraku was getting tired of this. He
launched five vines all at once, two catching her arms, two catching her legs, and one
wrapping itself around her neck. Nico let out a deafening scream.
"You're mine now!"
The three Inus where in shock. She was really good. She was fighting off Naraku
and sensing his moves. What was she? Her scream broke them from their thoughts and
they sprung into action. Taki was first. She flew out of her hiding spot, sword raised. She
dismembered some of the vines holding Nico while Sesshoumaru flew up and used his
poison claws to dismember the rest. Nico fell from the sky but InuYasha jumped out and
caught her. He landed on the ground with Nico in his arms. Nico's head began to spin.
What in the seven hells is going on here?
"What are you three doing here? This is non of your business," stated Naraku.
"We're making it our business!" screamed Taki.
"Besides, fool, you are on our lands," stated Sesshoumaru.
She flung her self at Naraku, sword aimed at his heart. He dodged and hit her from
behind.
"That was a dirty trick, Naraku," said Sesshoumaru simply.
With that, Sesshoumaru lunged at Naraku, using his poison claws to destroy the
vines being thrown his way. Once again Naraku disappeared and reappeared, sending a
hard blow at Sesshoumaru's head. It threw him into a nearby tree. Both Taki and
Sesshoumaru started getting back to their feet, the latter a little more gracefully than the
former.
Naraku turned towards InuYasha and Nico.
"I believe you have something I want."
"Eat shit, Naraku."
InuYasha unsheathed Tetsusaiga with his right hand, hanging on to Nico with his
left. Nico's eyes grew wide as she saw the giant kitana.
"You want her, you gotta go through me."
"That wouldn't a problem, half-breed."
InuYasha growled fiercely at the slanderous remark. Nico knew how it felt to be
called a half-breed. She felt the sting just as much as InuYasha had. He must have felt it,
because he wrapped his arm around her tighter.
"I won't let him hurt you."
InuYasha moved in front of her, Tetsusaiga ready. Sesshoumaru had recovered and
was now behind Naraku, Toukijin pointed towards Naraku as well as Taki who had
Tenketsaiga aimed for Naraku as well. He was surrounded. It may be wiser to come for
her later. This fight even I know better than to fight.
"I will be back, Inus. I will take what is mine!"
"Yeah well I don't see your mark on her!" shouted InuYasha.
Naraku just laughed loudly. He then generated a giant black cloud that surrounded
him. The three Inus prepared for a final assault, but a strong breeze came through and
blew away the smoke, revealing Naraku had escaped. The three Inus turned and faced
Nico.
