A/N: Yay! One Shot! Based on one of the RP's I was in.



::Thunder::



She jumped slightly when she hard the thunder again, pulling her blanket over her head for the 10th time that night.

Each time, she would tell herself that she was a big girl and thunderstorms just didn't scare her!

But no, that hadn't been the case an it didn't look like she was gonna get any sleep that night.

"Kagome."

She screamed, grabbing the lamp next to her head... That had went out an hour ago dur to power failure.

The blanket she held pver her was slowly pulled away, and she was faced with dumbfounded looking Inuyasha. "Kagome?"

"WHAT?!" She dropped the lamp next to her, glaring daggers at him.

Couldn't blame her.

"How long have you been here, huh?!" She looked over toward her open window, then back at him raising an eyebrow.

"I've been here for a good 20 minutes." He sighed, laying his head on her matress.

"Why didn't you say anything?!" Ever watch the horror movies? Innocent girl killed in her bed by masked murderer - stormy night. Went perfect, right?

He grabbed her around the waist, pulling he to him as he nuzzled into her side lightly, a growl escaping him. "I can smell the fear radiating off of you, t's just thunder - it'll pass.

"You scared the living daylights out of me--!" She pushed him away, and would lay her head back on her pillow, and would attempt to get back to sleep.

But the hanyou had other plans...

He rolled his eyes at her, resting his head on the matress once again while starring up at her innocently.

"Are you ready to go yet?" True, he had been up all night without, and refused to sleep if she wasn't there.

Moving so that he layed on his back, he opened his legs - as any guy would when they relaxed. "It's the middle of the might, Inuyasha..."

Kagome groaned lightly, lifting her head slightly to look down at him. She bit her lip.

And like it was suppose to happen, a big boom of thunder roared through the sky, and she jumped, right down there with him.

"Ack.." He lift his head now to look at her, giving her that pitiful look. "It isn't going to hurt you."

"What are you talking about!? I am NOT scared!" She lied.

She refused to go back in the bed, though. He found that funny, and chuckled softly under his breath.

She didn't make herself comfy by him though, instead, she moved a good distance away from him, curling up.

"Keh.." He'd just go get when she fell aseep... If he didn't first. Laying his head back on her carpet, he yawned loudly, and would 'pretend' to fall asleep.

Minutes passed, and she heard nothing from him. "Inuyasha?"

She kicked him light with her foot, raising her head to look at him. ''Fell asleep..."

She crawled over to him, curling up inches away from him. And in his 'sleep', he pulled her to him, and would nuzzle into her hair softly.

And for some odd reason, she drifted off to sleep.

So maybe it was true. She couldn't sleep unless he was beside her.

And he had to wonder if she needed him... Or was this gonna be a nightly thing. He sighed.
