Prologue

“Quickly! Get him to the Emergency Room!” “He's losing lots of blood!” “Doctor! Doctor!” A teenage boy was being wheeled on a stretcher, crowded around by worried paramedics and some firefighters. Suddenly, a woman burst in the other side of the hallway, screaming.

“WHERE IS MY BABY!?” while being held back by guards and nurses. “WHERE IS MY INUYASHA!?” “Mother…” rasped out the boy, his silver hair splayed on the stretcher and his brown eyes threatening to close.

As the stretcher disappeared into the ER with the doors slamming into place, the woman fell down onto her knees sobbing. A nurse informed her.

“Mrs. Dai, it seems that your child was around a mine site when it unexpectedly exploded. His condition is critical, due to the blood loss and burns on his back and the back of his legs. I…” She didn't get a chance to finish when the sobbing woman fainted, with her last thoughts still on her son.
“Inuyasha…”

**********************************************
It was painful.
Pain. That was exactly what you would feel if an explosion occurred, sending you reeling forward and landing face first on the ground. Guess what? That's what I feel. And waking up in a hospital, with mother sleeping beside millions of tissue paper isn't helping at all.

Fuck.

My ears perked up as the doctor entered the room, sighing. “Uh…my head…” mother grumbles, signaling her wake from her troubled sleep. But in a blink, she was hugging me tightly. “Oh my god…oh my god…” I winced as mother's weight pressed my back harder on the bed.

“Please…Mrs. Dai, his back is still trying to recover from the incident” the doctor said, trying to gently pry my mother off of me. I let out a low growl, threatening the doctor angrily not to touch her.

The doctor sighed again, resented and sat on a stool next to my bed. “Mrs. Dai, there are some conditions you should know about your son…” He paused “Inuyasha now has permanent burnt marks on his back. We were able to stop some chemicals from the mine site explosion from spreading throughout his systems. However…” The doctor looked at me sternly, sympathy flickered in his eyes. “What!?” I snarled.

“He will have differences from other people. Some harmful chemicals have…how do you say it…twisted with his abilities a little.” the doctor directed to mother. “His eyes will turn into different kinds of colors depending on his emotions. I advise that you give him the most support you've got, or else his emotions might overtake him…”

Silence.

kuramaishotlikehell: Whaddya think!? I know I am not perfect, because this is my first fic after all.
