“Inuyasha!... Inuyasha!”

 

“What is is Shippo?” the hanyou growled from being jerked from his slight slumber.

 

“It's Kagome! I went to go get her from the hot spring, but she wasn't there! All I found were her clothes!” the young fox demon held up the high school uniform.

 

“What! Kagome is gone! We have to find her!” Sango cried.

 

“I'll check to the west. Sango you get the east. Inu...”

 

“No.” Inuyahsa cute Miroku off. “She wouldn't wander off naked. She must have been kidnapped.”

 

“But by who Inuyasha?”

 

“The hanyou looked down into the teary eyes of his young friend, “Who else, Shippo? Naraku.”

 

“Naraku!? But why would he want to take Kagome! It doesn't make sense!”

 

“Yes it does, Miroku...” Sango was solumn as she slowly explained her theory. “First off, she is reincarnation of Kikyo and if I'm correct in my understading, Naraku 'loved' Kikyo. Second, Naraku hates Inuyasha and this is the perfect way to lure him into a trap. And finally, he could use Kagome to find the pieces of the Shikon no Toma.”

 

“We have to save her! Who knows what kind of perverted things that nasty demon might do to our lovely Kagome!”

“Of course you would know, you perverted monk!” Sango had hit Miroku over the head with his own staff.

 

“Damn Sango! That really hurt!”

 

“You deserved it. There you are thinking perverted thoughts about Kagome while she is most likely being tortured by Naraku! We must find her!”

 

“Yes Sango, we have to find her, but we haven't been able to find the actual Narkau all this time!” Inuyasha growled.

 

“But maybe it was a copy like always?” Shippo hestitantly asked.

 

“You're probably right Shippo, but I would want to keep a close eye on my captives if I were him so I think that a copy took her but it will be the actuall Naraku who will have her in the end.” Inuyasha sighed. “We should just search for Naraku. That will be faster instead of searching through all of the copies.”

 

“But where should we start seaching for him...” Sango looked down at the ground in order to try to hide the tears that were falling down her face. She scolded herself for not going with her friend to the hot spring. Kagome would be safe if she had gone with.

 

“Don't cry Sango.” Miroku put his arms around the woman to comfort her. “We'll find Kagome. We'll bring her back to us safely.”

 

“But it is my fault! If only... If only I had gone with her... she would be safe...” Sange finished in a whisper.

 

“DO NOT blame yourself Sango. We can all blame ourselves but that won't bring her back.” Inuyasha exclaimed. He knew how Sango felt since he also blamed himself. “We'll look for Naraku up north in the mountains. I heard from the townspeople that many weird things have been happening there lately. We shall start there.”

 

Inuyasha picked up his belongings from the ground. He put everything into the backpack that Kagome always wore and then slung it onto his own back. Lastly, he slid Tetssaiga into his waistband. He turned and began to head towards the dark mass that was the mountains to the north. The other three had just stared at him the whole while. They couldn't believe that he was starting the search now, in the middle of the night. Even more demons were out during the darkest hours of the night and that would not bode well for them.

 

“I think we should wait til morning... It'll be safer then.”

 

“No, we look now!”

 

“But Inu...”

 

“No! IF we don't look now Sango, we might never catch up!”

She watched as the landscape below quickly passed by. Over forests, rivers, and fields they flew until they came to a moss of mounstous hills surrounding a grand mansion. If Kagome wasn't being taken there in the dead of the night by a dangerous demon she would of thought the mansion was breath-taking.

 

From the air, Kagome could make out the layout of what she concluded to be Sesshoumaru's home. The main part looked to be circular. Then there were two wide and long wings coming from either side of the main part. Once landed, she saw two giant marble dogs guarding the entrance to the mansion. Looking around her, she could see that the grounds were massive. She figured that the ground also extended far behind her too since in her current position did not allow her to see everything.

 

Suddenly, she was jerked off the giant beast known as Ah-Un and dragged into the mansion. Once inside the entrance hallway, she was roughly dropped onto her bottom where she landed with a 'uff!' Kagome looked up to see piercing yellow eyes gleaming back at her.

 

“What do you want with me?!” Kagome allowed anger to take her over instead of letting her fear show. “You won't get away with kidnapping me! Inuyasha and the others will come for me and they will make you pay!”

 

Sesshoumaru began to laugh at what she had said. The girl amused him and here he was laughing. He had allowed her to see his amusement. Soon his laughted died and he looked at her again. He smirked. The fear in her eyes was easy to see. 'Hmm... I guess she didn't see my laughter as amusement. Good.' he thought to himself.

 

“Obviously you have forgotten what state you are in. I thought that would be the first thing to come out of your mouth, but it wasn't. I guess that means you do not mind and I can just leave you like that.”

 

Kagome looked at herself and remembered that she was indeeded naked. She tried to cover herself but all she had was her hands and arms which didn't amount to much. Her frantic actions only made the demon in front of her laugh even more.

 

“You will give me clothes!”

 

“Jaken take our... guest... to her room.”

 

“Yes, my Lord Sesshoumaru. Jaken will do as he is told!” Jaken bowed to his Lord as Sesshoumaru walked out o the hallway and into one of the rooms off to the side.

 

“Move or I will let Ah-Un have you!” Jaken swatted his staff at Kagome to get her up and moving. He swatted her up the grand stair case and then to the right. They moved down the dark hallway. By the time they stopped Kagome figured that they were at the end of one of the wings.

 

Jaken opened a door on the left and pushed Kagome inside. Before she could turn around, the door was slammed shut and locked with a click. She was locked in a room God knows where by an evil demon lord by the name of Sesshoumaru.

 

“What about some clothes!” Kagome pounded on the door.

 

“My master did not tell this Jaken to give the 'guest' any clothes so no clothes!” Jaken laughed and left off down the hallway. Kagome heard him walk away as his footsteps became softer and softer. She collapsed onto the ground by the door and began to cry. She was all alone in the Feudal Era of Japan. She cried because she missed her friends, she cried because she missed her family, but most of all she cried because she wanted to go home.

 

Kagome did not know how long she sat there crying. It could have been minutes or it could have been hours. All she knew was that she was exhausted and wanted to go to bed. Slowly she got up and felt the objects around the dark room. A chair, a chase, a desk, and finally a bed. Kagome sighed in relief knowing that she was given an actual bedroom instead of a cell. She crawled into the bed and was passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow.

“My Lord? May this Jaken enter?”

 

“Yes...”

 

“My Lord, the girl is locked in a room in the east wing...”

 

“Good Jaken. You may retire for the night.”

 

“Thank you my Lord... My Lord?”

 

“Yes Jaken?”

 

“What do you want with this girl?”

 

“That is a good question Jaken... But I am not sure...”

 

“My Lord?”

 

“I don't know Jaken. I will figure out a plan that the girl will be useful for. Go to bed now.”

 

“Yes, my Lord.” Jaken bowed and left Sesshoumaru in the study. The little frog demon shook his head. He did not get why his master would take the girl spontaneously like that. He never did anything without thinking about it first. What was wrong with his master?
