Tis The Night Before Christmas

"Inu Yasha come on, we need to get all this stuff quickly!" Kagome scolded him.

"I don't know why you had to wait till the day before to get the turkey…" Inu signed.

"Come on Inu Yasha, why are you still standing there?" She was about six meters away by this time.

"Coming…," he said walking towards her.

~~~~Kagome's~~~~~~

"Inu Yasha, are you sure you want to stay here for Christmas? I mean, what about Kikyo?" Kagome asked, worried that he might not be as happy here with her as he would be with his girlfriend.

"Kagome, for the last time, I'm staying here with you. We've done this every year since high school and we're not stopping now." Inu Yasha rolled his eyes, it was about the fifth time she'd asked that today.

"Yeah…," Kagome said, he sighed in relief thinking she was going to finally get it, "but that doesn't mean you want to do it."

A vein just about popped in his head, "Kagome! I'm staying here ok! Stop, I'm staying here because I want to!" Inu said frustrated.

"Ok, thanks, if I'm going to have Christmas with anyone other than family, I'm glad it'll be with you." She said with a smile and sweet voice.

"No problem, I'm glad to have Christmas with you too!" Inu said back with a smile.

"Now, let's put up the decorations!" Kagome yelled. Inu groaned, this meant him doing all the work. Not like it was a problem though, he was strong and had done this so many times it took him an hour to do everything at the most. This meant putting up the tree, putting decorations on the tree (one thing Kagome helped with), putting the balloons, sliver fluffy stuff that always got all over the carpet that he ended up having to clean up afterwards, and the little special rugs and stuff.

So it was about an hour later… "Inu Yasha, I don't know what I'd do with out you… I never could've gotten this done without you!" Kagome hugged him.

"That's cause you don't do anything." He stated.

"Only because it's easier making you do it!" Kagome smiled.

"Now that we're done, are we going to find Sango and Miroku. You have the gifts right?" Inu Yasha asked.

"Yup, I didn't loose them this year!" Kagome laughed.

"Good, it was hard to find someone to make those things." Inu Yasha said with a grin.

"You just know they're going to love them." Kagome smirked.

"When they see them they'll probably pound us." Inu laughed.

"Yeah, I don't know if we'll be able to get out of the house alive." Kagome grinned. "Miroku probably has something planned though, so we shouldn't bother them for long."

"You think?" Inu said sarcastically, he was Miroku's closer friend, of course he already knew what Miroku was planning to do with Sango for Christmas. His plan could go very well, unless Sango decides that lecherous dumb ass can't stay at her house.

"Well let's go! I think Sango and Mirok are at her house." Kagome said. (I know Mirok looks like a typo but its not, it's his nick name =P)

"Ok, I'll drive." Inu said.

They walked out of the house and down the stairs, Kagome turned around to look at her house, "Inu, um… could you maybe, put up the lights outside before we go? I mean if we get back when its dark won't it be nice to see the house twinkling in the night sky?" Kagome asked.

Inu sighed, this friend of his was a real nuciance to him, but he couldn't deny her, "Sure." He answered.

"OH THANKS!" Kagome yelled giving him a big hug, "Thank you so much!" Inu lightly hugged her back and then got to work. About 30 minutes later he was done.

"Now, no more decorating for me, I did all the big work so you can do all the small extra little things you want to do." Inu said wiping the sweat from his brow.

"Ok, I promise I won't ask for anything else that involves decorating!" Kagome said.

Inu hoped in the driver's seat of his sports car. I was black with red, orange, yellow flames. His seats were black leather and his car was brand new. "Wow, I know I've been in this car a million times already, but it still ceases to amaze me every time." Kagome said, as she looked at all the new devices it had on it, that computer map thing, DVD player that you could play on the computer, and a heck of nice stereo system. If she didn't know him she wouldn't thought he was one of the people on that show Pimp My Ride.

"I know, it's great, but so is that convertible you have. Don't you like the Mini Van and Truck we got together?" Inu asked.

Kagome looked away. Inu didn't know this, but the reasons she was so happy about getting those two car/truck those two years ago was the fact the it made them look like a couple. People with family buy vans and trucks… she really liked seeing those cars because of that, but then he got with Kikyo about 6 months later. Ever since them he didn't really seem to want to ride in them as much with her, like he knew it too, that those cars were for couples. "Yeah, they're great…" Kagome said trying to sound happy.

"Why don't you like them anymore?" Inu asked, he'd notice hesitation in answering the question and the way she'd look at the cars, as if something was bothering her about them. He hated that. She was supposed to love them because it was something the bought together. That was supposed to be a sign of their….friendship.

"What do you mean? I love them. We bought them together and I'm so happy we did." Kagome said, but she still didn't sound that happy.

"Yeah, but then why do you sound so sad?" Inu asked, *and why don't you ever look at me in the eyes when I talk to you about the cars.*

"Inu, its Christmas tomorrow, I miss my family." Kagome said.

Inu didn't believe her, he wanted to keep talking about it, but decided they better get to Miroku's before he and Sango went out somewhere. "Ok, fine, but look I'm your friend, I'm here for you.

"Ok, now let's go." Kagome said. She half way wanted to talk to him some more too, but just couldn't bring herself to say what she really wanted to.

Inu Yasha sped off towards Sango's house, hoping to catch them on their way out because he knew Miroku probably already got Sango to go out with him for the night.

Just as he parked the car on the side walking, he saw Sango locking up and Miroku with a huge grin on his face as he reached for her butt. "Miroku!" Inu called almost giving the pervert a heart attack.

"Oh uh hey Inu, whats up?" Miroku asked, his voice a little unsteady knowing he'd been caught.

"Nothing much…" Inu said.

"Sango, Miroku, we have presents for you two! Wait, why are you locking up Sango? Are you guys going somewhere?" Kagome said with a wink toward Sango.

Sango blushed at the comment, "Course n-"

"We are." Miroku finished putting his arm around her shoulders making Sango blush even more.

"I was going to say that Miroku." Sango elbowed him.

"Oww Love, that hurts." Miroku whined, as Sango's cheeks just got redder.

"Anyways, we have presents for you guys too!" Sango said.

"Right, I'll get them." Miroku said as Sango starred at him expectantly. He went to his car and got out four boxes, each one a different shape and size.

"Damn, what the fuck is all that for, remember that we're going to meat up tomorrow to give the other gifts?" Inu asked.

"Yeah, we don't want all of them right now." Kagome said.

"Oh please, this isn't close to half the gift we have for you guys. Now open them." Sango ordered.

"No, we should open the presents at the same time." Kagome said. Miroku nodded in agreement. Kagome handed a little box to Sango and Inu handed one to Miroku. Inside the two little boxes where identical rings and necklaces; each one had both names on them. At first Sango and Miroku just put them on, Miroku asking himself why they got jewelry for him, and Sango thinking how sweet it was. Then they looked at each other, Sango was about to ask what he got when she noticed the necklace, she looked down and found him wearing the ring too.

"Kagome," Sango exclaimed, "they match?"

"Yup, don't you love them? They're specially made with your guys' names on them." Sango checked to see if it was true and indeed, she did find Miroku plus Sango on the back. Sango blushed even more, "W-why, and aren't you guys going to open your presents?"

Kagome and Inu smiled, then turned around to unwrap the gifts. Miroku came up behind Sango and put his arms around her waist, "I love the present they gave me… but sometime I hope to give you a ring nicer than these to you with our names on them, and whatever stones you want it." Miroku whispered. Sango almost felt like she was going to choke on air, a butterfly seemed to be trying to fly through her throat. Miroku was practically saying he wanted to marry her. Thankfully, Kagome cut in.

"Sango thank you so much, I love these ice skates, and the snow gear is so nice!" Kagome yelled throwing her hands around her best friend making Miroku back off. Kagome had black with pink designs and laces on them. Her snow gear was a beanie, gloves, and a scarf, all pink and black like her skates.

Inu Yasha looked up, were they planning on getting them together? *Why would they want Kagome and I to get together? I'm already going out with Kagome… IMEANKIKYO!* Inu Yasha yelled at himself in his head. "Thanks Miroku." He was still confused.

Miroku winked at him, "No problem." Ok now he knew Miroku and Sango had something planned for them two.

Kagome looked back at Inu Yasha, noticing he had the same things as her except they were black and blue. Kagome wanted to explode with joy at the hints Miroku and Sango were trying to give Inu Yasha and her, but then she remembered Kikyo. She turned her head away and looked to Sango with a troubled expression. She shook her head before commenting, "Why, he's with Kikyo, there's no chance that would happen, he really loves her." Sound didn't exactly flow from her mouth, but Sango read her lips.

Sango wanted to tell her friend something because she seemed so sad. Lately the more Sango and Miroku tried to push them together, the more Kagome looked in another direction. "Kagome, do you like your gift?" Miroku asked

Kagome turned around and smiled like she wanted to when she first saw the gifts, "Yes I love them!" Miroku didn't realize that Kagome was on the verge of crying; only Sango knew. He hadn't seen the look on Kagome's face, and those words form on her lips.

"Well, so I guess you guys should be going… you probably have plans right?" Kagome snickered.

Sango blushed and smiled for a second before glaring at Kagome, "Miroku I don't know if I can go anymore, I want to talk to Kagome."

"No, Sango I'm not going to talk to you, not at least until you get back from your date." Kagome giggled, "I know you'll have lots to tell me after that."

Sango still didn't exactly want to, but was pushed in the car by all her friends. "Bye." Kagome waved.

Inu and Kagome got in the car. A minute or two passed. "Inu are you going to start the car?" Kagome asked.

"Uh yeah," Inu said. * Should I ask her? *.

"Inu?" Kagome questioned.

"Right," Inu said, "but um I was wondering, do you want to go skating later? I mean you can change at your house and then we could go." Inu said.

"Kikyo," Kagome mumbled, looking down.

"What?" Inu asked.

"KIKYO," Kagome said louder.

"Oh, what about her?" Inu asked.

Kagome starred at him wide eyed.

"Its--- not like this is---- a …date." Inu said, *but why do I kinda wish it were?*

"Of course… just maybe she'll get mad, or something…" Kagome said.

"Pshhh, come on. Will you go with me or not?" Inu asked.

"Well, if you're sure she won't mind, I'd love to." happiness seemed to be raiding off her. Inu smiled at her and put his hand on hers.

Inu finally started the car and they drove off towards the house.

~~~~Inside~~~~~

"Inu, do you mind if I take a quick shower? I promise not to take long." Kagome said innocently.

"Please, I know you can't take quick shower." Inu said.

"Well will you let me anyways?" Kagome laughed.

"Sure, not like I could say no." Inu said.

"Thanks!" Kagome said before running off.

"I'll just be waiting here!" he called.

"You better be!" she called back.

"I will, promise." He smiled.

23 minutes later, Kagome came running down the stairs, "Ok I'm done! Hope you haven't gotten into anything while I was taking a shower." Kagome smiled brightly. She waited a while for a reply but nothing. "Inu?" Kagome said in a panicked voice. Still nothing. She searcher all over the downstairs, then ran outside. His car wasn't parked in the drive way.

Kagome felt like crying, he promised he'd be here waiting. *What was so important he couldn't do that?* Kagome asked herself. As she got closer to the door she notices a piece of paper taped to it. She ran up and read I quickly. [Kagome, I'm so sorry, but Kikyo really needed me. She said she had nervous breakdown, she sounds horrible. She called me not too long after you got in the shower. I know you'll understand. I'll be back as soon as I can ok. If it gets to late don't wait up for me. We'll go skating tomorrow ok, I promise.]

Kagome tore the paper from the door and crumbled it up, running inside and throwing it away. She went to her room and laid down on her bed crying. "You already promised you would be there waiting for me and broke it Inu Yasha, why should I believe you'll even come back tomorrow?" Kagome cried out.

She cried for what seemed like hours, but when she looked on the clock she realized it hadn't been that long. She had cried for a long time, just not that long. *So what now, I'm all by myself… what good is that? I feel so lonely, while Sango and Miroku must be having the time of their lives on that date. I wonder where they went…* Kagome wondered. She went into the bathroom and looked at herself in the Mirror. Well my face isn't all red and blotchy and more, I guess its ok to go out and take a walk now. Kagome decide to take off the scarf, gloves, and hat though. She changed into some hip huggers, a pink-long sleeve shirt with a white tank top underneath, and a coat that matched with her brown leather boots that had fur on them.

"Much better." She sighed. She walked out of the house and down the street, there was a park up ahead and she wanted to stop there. She got to it and sat down, "what a nice place to rest for a while and think." Kagome said her thoughts aloud.

"I was just thinking the same thing." She heard a male voice say.

She looked up quickly to see if it was Inu Yasha, "oh hey Koga."

"Sorry did I startle you?" He asked.

"No its fine." She said.

"So, what's up? I haven't seen you around here for a while." He sat down next to her on the bench.

"Yeah, I guess I haven't had time with Christmas just around the corner." She said.

"Eh, same here I guess." Koga told her.

"Well Koga, it was really nice seeing you again, but I better get home. I just came by for a quick stroll; I still need to get a couple things done." Kagome said.

"I'll drive you." He said getting up.

"It's ok." She said to him.

"It's cold out, come on." He pleaded.

"Well, fine." Kagome said. She got into his truck and he drove towards her house.

"Are you doing anything tomorrow, I mean, I know it's Christmas and all but…" Koga asked.

"Yeah I'm doing something. Maybe some other time ok." Kagome said jumping out of the car. "Bye."

Koga could tell Kagome was sad about something. She seemed very sad. *I bet it's that jerk Inu Yasha! Gosh he's such a jerk to her!* Koga slightly growled before driving off. *I'll get him later!*

Kagome sat down on the couch. "Hmm, what should I do for now? How about just sit here and wait.". "It's not even dark out yet… I wonder if he'll be back by then. I really wanted to look at the house while it was dark so I could see the shine of it better… but I wonder if he'll be home by then. Wait a sec, why am I talking to myself?" Kagome shut up deciding that she sounded like a psycho.

~~~~Sango and Mirok~~~~

"So, are you having fun?" Miroku asked her.

"Yes," Sango said.

"I just knew you'd love the site of the beach like this." Miroku smiled.

"How'd you know I wanted to go to the skating rink though?" Sango asked.

"Well, when we bought Inu and Kagome's presents I could just see the sparkle in your eyes. So I knew you'd like it." Miroku explained.

"Oh, it's just too bad we didn't see Inu and Kagome there… I really need to talk to her." Sango looked down.

"Sango what is it? You've seemed dazed on this whole date! Aren't you having fun?" Miroku asked hurtfully.

"Of course, I'm sorry. I just… look I'll stop talking about Kagome, let's enjoy the rest of our date!" Sango hugged Miroku.

"Good!" Miroku said.

~~~~Kagome~~~~

Kagome was half awake when she heard the door shut. She looked up, squinting at the figure. "Inuyasha?" Kagome asked.

"Yeah it's me, why the heck did you stay up? I told you not to stay up and wait for me!" Inuyasha practically yelled at her.

"DON'T YOU YELL AT ME INUYASHA, YOU LIED TO ME! YOU PRMISED…YOU PROMISED. HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME INUYASHA? How could you do that to me?" The last sentence she said showed pain and hurt.

"Kagome….I-"

"Shut up, you're right! Why did I stay up!" Kagome said. She didn't even wait for his answer, she just ran to her room.

"Kagome, but I…" Inuyasha sighed and followed her steps. "Kagome," He hugged her backside while she cried on her pillow of the bed. "I wanna tell you something, I broke up with Kikyo."

Kagome stopped crying and sniffled a bit before looking up at him. "Wa-why would you do that?" Kagome asked.

"Because I, well… want to-be-with---you." He said

Kagome gasped, "Really? But, you went off with Kikyo and---" He covered her mouth.

"When I went there, it was because of what I told you on the note, but I decided then…I didn't want to be there with Kikyo, I wanted to be here with you. I wanted to hold you in my arms and," He looked deep in her eyes and kissed her passionately. "Kiss you." He said. Kagome stared at him wide eyed. "Why do you think I bought those cars with you? Why do you think I love spending Christmas with you every year? Why do you think I can't say no to you?" Inuyasha asked her.

"I thought you just wanted to be good friends." Kagome said.

"NO, I LOVE YOU!" Inuyasha yelled out.

"I-Inuyasha, I love you too." Kagome said, "I just didn't think you ever…loved me back."

Inuyasha flipped her over and put his arms around her, "I always loved you, ever since I can remember Kagome. I love you more than anything. I'm sorry I hurt you, and that I broke my promise. Please forgive me." Inuyasha said.

Kagome grabbed onto his shirt and cried on his chest, "Of course I'll forgive you Inuyasha." He got her to let him go for a little while he stripped down to his boxers and got in bed with her. He held her in his strong grip and kissed her. `I'll never break my promise to you again.' Was the last thing Kagome heard before falling asleep.

~~~~Morning~~~~

Kagome felt something wet on her neck and it was touching her all over. It went down to her cleavage and then back up to her neck. Kagome shot strait up only to find it was Inuyasha. She blushed bright red, *was he just licking me?* Kagome asked herself.

Inuyasha smirked at her. "Morning," Kagome was shocked, *last night wasn't a dream was it?* she found herself thinking. Inuyasha pulled her into his lap and held her, "Kagome, If was going to have Christmas with anyone other than family, I'm glad it was you." He told her the same thing she had told him. Kagome hugged him; I guess we better get ready. We need to meet up with Sango and Miroku right." Kagome told him.

"Yeah," Inu said. She got some clothes together and two towels, Inu did the same. (lol, he has his clothes at her house…but also, he got two towels, lol, for his hear. That just seems funny to me, lol.)

Kagome went in the bathroom and locked it. She stripped all her clothes off and was about to get in the shower when <knock knock> She put a towel around her and opened the door. "Yeah?" she asked confused.

"Can I come in too?" Inuyasha said with puppy dog eyes. Kagome blushed bright red, "NO!" she said slamming the door and taking her shower. So anyways Inuyasha took a shower after her and then they went to meet up with Sango and Miroku.

"How bout we take the van?" Inuyasha asked.

"Kagome eyes lit up for the first time in a while, "Sure!" she said.

Inuyasha took her hand and led her to the car, they got in. Kagome smelt the new car sent, after six months it still smelt new, Must have been the fact that they had only ridden in it a couple times. "Let's go." Inuyasha said before driving out of the parking lot and off to Sango's house.

~~~~Sango's~~~~

Sango gasped and hit Miroku, "LOOK!" She said.

"Wha-they're, good. That's great, but just to let you know love, you're supposed to nudge, not hit." Miroku laughed. Sango and Miroku went outside, "So I see you guys are using the van again." Miroku said.

"Yeah," Inu smiled.

"Well, Miroku get the presents, Inu you help, and Kagome and I will wait in the car!" Sango said grabbing Kagome's hand and running to the van.

In about eight minutes Miroku and Inuyasha came out of the house with huge boxes and a couple medium sized ones too. Sango slid open the door to the van and smiled at Inuyasha, "here, I'll help you with that." Sango said.

"Kagome did you,"

"And so what if she did? You can't do anything about it now." Sango said.

They got to Kagome's house and opened all the presents. Kagome got a new CD player, TV, and a necklace from Miroku and Sango. Inuyasha got a laptop, X-Box(with halo 2), and a watch from Sango and Miroku. Sango got a makeup kit, first aid kit, sewing kit, and a lot of other kits, from Kagome, while Inuyasha gave her keys to the truck, "It's from both of us." Kagome said. And Miroku got PS2 with Lord of the Rings, and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 (lets pretend its out already.)

Now, it was time for the couples. They all thanked one another and hugged before leaving, (in the truck). "Now it's just you and me." Inuyasha smiled. Kagome had her necklace from Miroku and Sango on, but Inuyasha took it off. He handed her a box. Kagome opened it; it was a platinum necklace with a heart that was made out of something mixed. It was red and black with love in the middle (the word love is in white letters.). He put it on her, and Kagome got out her present for him. "Here," she said as she handed him a package that looked like the shape of a book. Inuyasha almost groaned, he hated books, yet Kagome was always trying to get him to read them.

When the rapper was off he realized it wasn't a book, well not that kind at least. It was a scrapbook. Inside were pictures of him and Kagome since they were little. Inuyasha kissed her, "You always knew just what to get.

They had a fancy dinner, not the usual turkey and stuffing; one with candles and a rose on the table, your fine china and whine glasses. Afterwards Inuyasha led Kagome up to the room.

"I love you Kagome. I wish I would have realized it sooner." He said.

"I love you to Inuya---" Kagome was cut off as his lips met hers. Inuyasha caressed her tongue with hers, licking her teeth and sucking on her lip. Kagome moaned his name out. Inuyasha slowly began to unbutton her shirt and trace circles on her stomach. Kagome twitched under him from the tickling feeling. He brought his other hand to her shoulder sliding it down her arm. He broke the kiss for a moment to get her shirt fully off before latching on again. His hands brushed over her breast and tickled the skin.

"Ohhh!" Kagome moaned. Inuyasha smirked, how could kissing her feel so much better than it had with any other person. It felt like he was having a taste of heaven every time he kissed her. He lowered his head to her breast and pulled back the material just enough to let her breast bounce free. He sucked on her nipple and tugged on it making sounds come out of her mouth that he'd never heard before. Some of them surprised him because of the pitches.

Inuyasha took off the rest of her clothes and Kagome helped take his clothes off. Inuyasha got over her, and then looked down at her. "Its fine, I want you to." Kagome said. He thrust down into her, breaking her hymen. Kagome slightly screamed before getting used to it. Inuyasha rocked his hips against hers; hitting places in her that he knew made a woman scream. He loved his name being repeated over and over by her in a lusted voice.

Kagome felt it, he stomach seemed to explode. Inuyasha felt her climax, the juices coming out of her and her walls tighten around her. Then he climaxed to. Inuyasha groaned and almost collapsed on her. "Kagome I love you." He felt like he couldn't say it enough times, especially since he knew she'd say it back. Yesterday was the first day he had heard anyone say, I love you to him.
