Chapter 3 The Dream (Written in third character) (Narrator, of course)

A couple weeks later…

"Piper wake up! Time to go to school!" yelled Maeko from the other room.

"Argh…" was the response from a very tired Piper. She pulled the covers over her head. (She's not a morning person. Who is?)

"I mean it, get up Piper." No response.

"Piper?"

"Are you up yet?" Silence.

~Piper wake up. Your mother is calling you.~

"ALRIGHT I'm up!" yelled a very tired and agitated Piper. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. She had a very strange re-occurring dream and felt as if was real. She also felt drained as if she had no energy. However something gave her an extra power boost…

"YOU'RE NOT DRESSED YET!!!! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!"

Fifteen minutes later…

"I'm ready," said Piper groggily.

"Good. Now, eat your breakfast and go wait outside for the bus." said Maeko while she fixed breakfast for her other two kids.

Piper put on her coat, grabbed her bag, and went outside. It was a cool, crisp, autumn day.

`A good day to play outside.' She thought.

Her bus pulled up and she got on. She sat down in the front and looked out the window. She pressed her head against the window and closed her eyes. She then searched her brain for something to think of and came upon the memory of her dream.

……………………… ……………Dream…………… …………………………̷ 0;……

"Piper! Come on!" cried a young girl around eight years old. She grabbed her hand and they ran into the forest.

"Did we lose them?" Piper asked breathing heavy. They looked around and heard nothing. They sat down and rested for a bit.

"Why were those demons after you?" asked the young girl.

"I don't know but do you think he'll be able to defeat them?" asked Piper a little worried.

"Of course he will. My lord always defeats low-levels like them," the young girl said a little cockily, "Don't worry he'll be around to find us in no time."

"That's right and then we'll be safe," said Piper happily at the thought.

"But until he comessss, you're not." hissed a voice unknown to them. They turned around quickly and saw a demon looking at them, hungrily.( It was a snake demon.

If you couldn't tell by the hissing.)

They got up quickly and ran away from the snake. However they didn't get far. The snake suddenly appeared in front of them with many other snake demons.

"Oh no" said the girls in unison.

"Yum, ssssssssome little girlsssssss to eat." said one of the demons.

"Yessssss very plump and tassssssty looking girlsssssss." said another demon.

The younger girl and Piper found themselves backed up against a tree. The young girl hid behind Piper and Piper stood in front, glaring at all the demons.

"Piper?" the young girl whispered.

"Yes?"

"What are we going to do?"

"I don't know but I'll think of something," Piper whispered back. Then suddenly one of the snake demons jumped at them, impatient and hungry.

Piper closed her eyes, when the snake jumped. In her mind she could see flashes of blue and purple dancing. That's all she saw and then, as if in the distance, she could hear someone very familiar calling her name.

"Piper!"

"Piper!" said someone shaking her.

"Huh?" responded Piper, pulling out of the memory. She looked to see who was shaking her. It was Hojo (For a lack of knowledge of Japanese names) one of her friends.

"We're at school," he said calmly and then added a little worried, "Are you okay?"

"Yup I'm fine. Just a little tired." she said as they walked out of the bus and into the school.

In the classroom…

Miss White, their teacher, pulled out her books and told everyone to do the same.

"We are going to read pages 1 thru 40 in our Textbooks and want everyone to do the review questions on the page afterwards," she said while writing this on the board. She dusted her hands and asked, "Any questions? If not start working."

She was responded with a lot of groans and moans of protest but everyone did what she said.

Piper looked at the story. `Thank god I already read and, joy, I already did the problems' she thought happily, `Now I can get some sleep.'

She put her head down. `Hopefully, she won't notice'

~I'll wake you if or when she does. Now get some rest.~

`Thank you conscience'

(Alright, I think I'll end it here. Okay, she thinks she's talking to her conscience but is actually talking to…who? Sesshomaru, of course. This is yet another thing I will explain later to kept it more interesting.

She sounds a little mature for her age doesn't she? I think so and I am trying to make that a part of her personality.

Anyway, I'll tell you later what school she's in but right now I'm tired and if you want to know review and ask. Please read and review!!!!!)
