Dem: Sadly, I do not own InuYasha or any of his friends or any other character from the show.

Inu: Damn straight you don't!

Kagome now sat in front of the vanity in her room, absentmindedly brushing her hair and trying very hard not to cry again. `I can't take this anymore, he said he loved me, he said he would protect me, he said he would never leave me, and now…. Kikyo…I hate her…How could he!'

~~~~Flash Back~~~~

"Kikyo! Wait! You have to stop this! You can't keep going on like this!"

"What InuYasha! Are you going to confess your love for me? Ask me to stay? Well forget it!"

"Kikyo! Stop! It's not like that! I loved you! We were deceived! You know that! Kikyo, I love…" Kagome heard no more she did not wish to hear nor see anymore of it. He was going to confess he still loved her and she couldn't bare it; so she ran, ran back to the well and her time, blocking the well in the process.

~~~~End Flash Back~~~~

Kagome couldn't stop the tears anymore, it had been three days since she had run off back to the well and blocked it off, and she locked herself away into her room and had cried continuously. InuYasha had confessed that he loved her and she confessed to him… but obviously he could not give up Kikyo.

`Can't he see that the love he had for her runs through me too… she died, but her soul lives on… in me… it was there souls that were in love… because if it was just physical love… I, wouldn't love him so much…why can't he see that no matter how much he tries… Kikyo will only hate him because that is all she is… hate…'

Kagome wiped her face from tears, and smiled at her reflection. `If he wants to be with her then so be it… I will return her tortured soul to her… because I know… it is impossible for him to love me this way…'

Kagome arose from her vanity and walk through the house, saying a silent goodbye to her family as they all slept. `I'm sorry mama, Sota, grandpa, but I can't do this anymore, I can't go on being deceived, I do not belong in this world, I must give back my soul to Kikyo…'

Kagome left the house and walked around the shrine one last time. `This is it, no turning back, I love InuYasha and for that I will give up my life to make him happy, maybe… one day… we can be together... in another time… when he can be free to love me… not her…'

Kagome jumped down the well after releasing the blocking spell from it, and climbed out the other side. `Good he's not here, although I wish I could she him one more time, once more before… no I can't… I'm stalling… it's now or never…' She walked over to the God tree and laid her hand over the mark that the arrow had left, the place where she first met him. "I knew I loved you from the first time I saw you, InuYasha." She said to the stillness of the night.

"Goodbye, My friends." She said as she turned away from the village and the tree.

Kagome walked for what seemed like hours until she found the waterfalls that InuYasha had confessed his love to her at, they had made love for the first time here too. "This is my gift to you InuYasha! I give my soul back to Kikyo… for you!" she through her arms out and leaned forward so that she was looking down at the twenty story drop below her into the raging waters below.

`Do I really want to do this? Do I really want to give up my life? Why should I? I don't want to do this, I can move on with out him, can't I?' Kagome turned to return to the well but her foot slipped and she fell off the edge of the cliff hitting her head dangerously on a rock and blacking out after she cried out the only word that came to mind. "InuYasha!!!"

"Kagome wake up! You can't do this! I won't allow you to die! I now understand that I no longer belong in this world… it is you he loves now, and you must be strong… if not for you then for him and the baby you and he made together that is growing inside you…"

"What? Kikyo, I don't understand… what baby? Oh gods! InuYasha I'm so sorry!"

"Kagome, I must rejoin my soul it grows tired and I too am tired of wandering… you must live, and rejoining my… our… soul will save you… open your heart Kagome… you will live… never give up Kagome… He loves you…never forget that…"

"I won't forget, never again will I doubt it…InuYasha loves me and I… love him…"

Kagome's whole body went numb with warmth… Kikyo had rejoined their soul… she was once again whole…

"Gods no! Kagome wake up please! Please don't be dead! Please! Wake up!" InuYasha held her in his arms and rocked back and forth, stroking her hair. InuYasha had heard her scream and came running only to see her fall to the earth. He did not see the purple hue of light that emitted from her body and hung her in mid-air not even four feet from the ground before lightly letting her fall into the tall grass.

Kagome slowly woke up and mumbled out his name. Suddenly realizing he was holding her, Kagome through herself into InuYasha's chest and hugged him to her tightly. "I'm so sorry InuYasha! I'm so sorry!" she began sobbing uncontrollably into his chest.

"Kagome! What in seven hells where you doing! You could have been killed!"

"I'm… So… s…ssorry!" was all she could get out. InuYasha suddenly got a stern look on his face and looked down at her.

"Kagome… What… were you doing?"

Kagome looked into his dark amber eyes and told him. InuYasha just listened and pulled her into his chest more tightly when she finished.

"I'm so sorry InuYasha… I should never have doubted you… I should never have been that irrational…I was so stupid."

"It's alright Kagome… you're ok now and Kikyo will never bother us again… you, me or…" InuYasha laid her down on the ground and pressed his lips to hers, then down to her stomach where he placed a single tiny kiss. "Or… our pup."

Kagome looked down at him and smiled, reaching down and pulled his dragon tails so that he was hovered over her and kissed him deeply as the sun rose up from behind the mountains.

"It's going to be a beautiful day InuYasha. Lets go home."

Dem: well… what did yea think??? Please review…

Inu: wow… that was intense… and hey! I wouldn't have let her fall! I would have stopped her right when she came out of the well…

Dem: Shut up InuYasha I know! But I needed it to make my story! * Smiles sweetly *
