AN: OK. This is the rewritten version, definitely clearer in meaning. Please R&R! The song used in this fic is "Bring Me To Life" (feat. Paul McCoy) by EVANESCENCE. This is a Vid fic (similar to a songfic but . . . well it's just a whole bunch of random scenes) -.- R&R!

To Life

Inuyasha sits in the God Tree, pondering the events of fifty years ago as the cool night wind blows through his hair, below him are Sango, Shippou, Miroku and . . . Kagome sleeping.

~How can you see into my eyes, like open doors? ~

Kikyou falls while getting up on the dock, landing in Inuyasha's arms, and after a few moments, they embrace.

~Leading you down into my core, where I've become so numb~

Inuyasha follows after Kikyou as she walks through the snow-white village, keeping a protective eye on her retreating figure as she walks in front of him with a smile on her lips.

~Without a soul . . .my spirit sleeping somewhere cold~

Kikyou speaks her heart to Inuyasha, as they discuss why she will never be able to live a happy normal life until the Shikon no Tama disappears

~Until you find it there and lead it back. . . home~

Inuyasha kneels down in front of Kikyou and takes her hands, whispering the words that would change their relationship forever

“I want to be human . . . with you”

~(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can't wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can't wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I've become~

After a few moments of initial shock Kikyou nods and gives his hands a slight squeeze as her lips turn up in a small smile

~Now that I know what I'm without, you can't just leave me~

Inuyasha stares at his freshly scrubbed face in the river, a huge grin on his face as he does his best to make himself look presentable . . . and then . . . an arrow flies past him

~Breathe into me and make me real . . . bring me to life~

Inuyasha stares in shock at Kikyou, as she spits out the words “Die Inuyasha” as she takes aim and shoots another purity arrow at him

Running through the forest Inuyasha heads towards the village, his heart aching in his chest. He lets out a spine tingling howl as he jumps into the shrine where the Shikon-No-Tama is.

~I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside~

Grinning as he holds his newly attained treasure he easily evades the villager's attacks on him and turns to head back towards the forest eyes starting to water as he smells Kikyou's scent on the jewel

~Frozen inside without your touch without your love~

Kikyou runs to where she knows that Inuyasha will be, the old tree near the bone eater's well. Her eyes glazed over with the anger and power of a Miko, her energy glowing black (tainted)

~Darling . . . only you are the life among the dead~

Kikyou watches Inuyasha from the shadows, as he runs through the forest, her eyes showing the human pain that they seemed to have lost so long ago as she grips her bow and arrow and takes aim

~All this time I can't believe I couldn't see~

Inuyasha bows his head as he turns a bit and watches Kagome sleep, his cheeks wet with tears as he murmurs Kikyou's name

~Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me~

And she shoots . . . hitting Inuyasha in the heart as he drops the jewel and looks into her eyes whispering softly before he falls unconscious

“Kikyou . . . I love you”

~I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems~

Kagome looks to the strange looking boy that seems to be pinned to a tree, she walks to him and leans forward, rubbing his ears curiously

~Got to open my eyes to everything~

Inuyasha senses an Aura like that of Kikyou, but different, his hands opening to reveal his claws as he looks up to see a strangely dressed girl running towards him

~Without a thought without a voice without a soul~

Inwardly he feels himself start to crumble as he sees her, same moving eyes, dark flowing hair, he opens his mouth to speak but cant, remembering what happened the last time they spoke

~Don't let me die here~

Before the rest of the villagers arrive Kikyou holds onto the unconscious Inuyasha pinned to a tree, letting her tears fall upon him she whispers

“ I love you too Inuyasha”

~There must be something more~

“SISTER KIKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The young heartbroken priestess left this world, injured of the body, mind, soul and heart

~Bring me to life~

Kagome stared at Inuyasha as she came back through the well for the first time since he had pushed her through, running into his arms

Inuyasha stared at the young girl from the future before pulling her into an embrace as tight as the one he had held Kikyou in only fifty years earlier

~(Bring me to life)~

Kikyou placed down her bow and arrow, which she had aimed at Inuyasha, but upon hearing his words. . . walked away with her soul snatching demons following faithfully after her (the ones he speaks in the next Inuyasha scene five lines down)

~I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside~

Kagome slept peacefully unaware of the confession that had just been made (The one made in the next scene) . . .

~(Bring me to life)~

“ I'm sorry Kikyou, I love her . . . I love Kagome“
