chapter 1: The Meeting Of Fate

Inu Yasha ran through the forest snow flying up behind him as he ran. He stopped as he heard singing coming from deeper in the forest. His little white dog like ears perked up slowly as he would gaze left and right, his eyes watching for any sudden movement. "Where is that singing coming from?" He muttered to himself as quietly as possible, pondering himself further into the forest. He ran down the path now, picking up snow from underneath his feet and stopped a few yards away from the source of the singing, he hid himself behind a bush. He saw a girl with long brown hair and wearing a light blue kimono. She also had brown cat like ears and beautiful silver eyes that seemed to look at nothing as she sang her soft sweet song. He rose noting it was only a girl, moving upward he would blink looking to her, his arms at his side as his ears twitched curiously. He would look to her as a slight smirk grew to his face and he ran at her, he had noticed the three jewel shards on her necklace. His hand driving at her neck as he grabbed at the necklace snapping it in half as he held the shards in his hands with a smirk on his face as he stopped skidding to the side looking at the shards. "Heh finally three more shards." He held up the other shard that he had stolen from Kagome when she wasn't looking. They glistened in the sunlight as he gazed over at the girl. The girl stopped as she placed her hand on her neck.
"Huh, where did my necklace go?" He turned slowly to look at the girl as he dropped the broken necklace, he quickly took off with the shards. "What a stupid kid" he snickered looking to them. The girls ears twitched as she heard the necklace drop. She leaned down and picked it up feeling it slowly. "Oh no Kugra will be mad at me for braking the necklace," she said as her ears slowly lowered. Just then Kugra appeared standing in a tree with his arms crossed as he landed on the ground next to the girl. "What is wrong Kiriu?" He asked in a slightly cold voice, he didn't have a heart, it was black so even if he tried to show kindness it wouldn't matter it would come out meanly. His silver hair streamed in the wind before his dark garnet red eyes. "The necklace you gave me broke, I am sorry big brother." He would narrow his eyes slightly then gazed down at the necklace when he noticed something was missing. Bending down slightly he grabbed onto it and sniffed it. With a harsh voice he jumped upwards a little "Grrr…Kiriu you've been robbed." Kiriu blinked innocently "but no one comes to this forest." He growled "I will deal with you later for losing the jewel shards." He turned quickly and ran off after Inu Yasha's scent. Kiriu slowly followed listening to Kugra's foot steps as she ran. Inu Yasha stopped when he heard Kugra coming for him. He lowered as he snarled slightly. Kugra jumped into the air with great speed, punching Inu Yasha straight across the face and his other hand clawing Inu Yasha across the chest. "Give back what you stole, hanyou! Or pay the price!" Kiriu stopped slowly to listen to the fight. Inu Yasah growled slightly, moving across the ground he gazed upward to Kugra "Heh/ I don't think so!" He yelled as he jumped to his feet running with incredible speed as his claws began to glow "Iron Reverse Soul Stealer!!!" Kugra moved back as if he didn't even move at all from the attack. He glanced up at Inu Yasha, holding his elbow with his other hand as he opened his palm facing Inu Yasha with a quaint smirk as black particles began to form at his palm, a few seconds later having an orb of energy, he sent off the ball with strength flying behind it, sending it tumbling at Inu Yasha. Kiriu's ears went back as she yelled hoping to stop the fight "stop it big brother!" Inu Yasha went to slash the orb in half with his claws but it was too strong, it forced Inu Yasha backwards, as blood bursted from his mouth as he fell backwards hitting the ground roughly, picking up dirt as he dropped the shards jerking his head to the side spitting out blood. Kugra disappeared and appeared at the jewel shards and grabbed then disappeared again and appeared at kiriu's side. "He deserves death for robbing you Kiriu but I will not kill him if you wish.." he growled under his breath looking to Inu Yasha. "Please don't kill him big brother lets just go home." A slight impulse came to Kugra but he stopped in his tracks, growling slightly to listen to Kiriu and turned off and ran off disappearing in the forest. Kiriu looked toward Inu Yasah slowly as she turned and followed Kugra. Inu Yasha gazed upward slightly with a growl looking toward the direction Kiriu had run to "Get back here!" He said before passing out.
