Together Again

Chapter 4-Invasion of the Flee Bag

'It seems Kagome doesn't think very highly of me. Well I can change that. All I have to do is keep up the innocent little sweet-boy act with her mom and she'll tell Kagome to go out with me! Now I just have to put my plan into action.'

Kouga didn't hear Kagome walk down the stairs but he did see her enter the kitchen and he made no point to make his presence known. Kouga just sat at the kitchen table watching Kagome raid the fridge. When Kagome turned to the table, he was greeted with an unwelcoming scream.

“K-K-KOUGA!” Kagome yelled at the wolf demon. “What are you doing in my house!? In my kitchen!? Sitting at my table!?”

“This is not your anything. It all belongs to your mother.” Kouga replied calmly. “And if you must know, I'm waiting for her. She should be back any moment now.” Kouga paused. “And I could ask you the same thing.”

Kagome looked at the demon with little tolerance. She hated him. He was such a jerk.

“Well let's just look over this shall we. 1) MY house 2) MY kitchen 3) ugly demons in mini-skirts weren't expected!”

“ARGH Woman! What are you yelling about now!” Kouga had never seen this girl before but he was willing to bet she was a friend of Kagome's. The girl's hair frizzed and seemed suspended in mid-air.

“Sango. What are you doing up? Go back to bed, I'll be up in a bit.” Kagome said more sweetly to her friend, Sango was it, then she did to Kouga.

“No. I'm already awake. And besides, it's 3am, about time I got out of bed anyway.” Sango didn't seem to notice the other person sipping a mug of coffee.

“Kagome! Is that you dear?”

Sango and Kagome looked up the stairs.

“Mommy-sama!” Sango ran up to Ms. Higarashi and gave her a hug. “Mommy-sama it's so good to see you!”

Kouga guessed Sango hadn't seen Ms. Higarashi when she arrived.

“Sango, dear, it's so good to see you too! Keeping Kagome in check I hope.” The two laughed much to Kagome's dismay.

`Keeping me in check!?' Kagome thought to herself. `What can Sango do to me? She knows I'll chuck stuff at her if she tries to stop me from doing anything!'
