InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Together Forever ❯ Forever... ( Chapter 1 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
This story takes place directly after the episode “Forever with Lord Sesshomaru”
Ina stepped into a clearing. She had silver hair, amber eyes, and pointed ears. Twin red slashes ran under each eye, on each forearm, on each ankle, and on the hips around the back. She had a blue crescent moon on her forehead, framed by her bangs. She wore a black guys kimono with silver sakura blossoms. She wore black boots and a cream colored tail which looked like a boa adorned her shoulder. She had a serious look on her face, expressionless. Her obi was silver. She had one sword at her hip. It had a black sheath, and a dark blue hilt with the tail of a gold dragon visible.
Ina saw several monks. She walked over. One older monk was there at the front. She walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder, much to the horror of the younger more inexperienced monks. The older monk spun around. “I thought I sensed a demonic aura.”
“Have you seen a man about so high,” Ina moved her hand to show he was really tall. “with silver hair and a blue crescent moon on his forehead?”
“Are ye a demon?”
“Hmm….Perhaps.” Ina stepped backward, standing tall with her hands at her sides. She sensed something move behind her and slashed her claws across behind her, sending a poison acid from her claws behind her. Jaken crawled under the acid and over to Ina. “I am so sorry milady! How did I upset you?!”
“Sorry Jaken. You know better than to sneak up on me.”
“I'm sorry!” Jaken began to bow while on his hands and knees repeatedly banging his head on the ground.
“Jaken,” Ina said in a firm tone. Jaken looked up at her. “You're going to hurt yourself. Where's father?”
“He's left me behind!”
“Of course. Is Ah-Un around?”
“Hai, milady!”
“Bring him. I'm going to see if these little nothings have seen him.”
“Hai, milady!” Jaken scurried off.
Ina turned to the monks again. The younger ones were scared out of their wits. The older one shouted to them, “Come now! This one's aura is powerful! Seal it!” The monks circled Ina, running as they held out prayer beads. Ina noticed a blue circle enclosing around her. Her demon sensed danger but Ina didn't let her chains on it loosen. She saw the blue circle flare up once it was close. A world of pain entered her senses as blue lightning began to hit her. They're trying to weaken me…That won't work. Ina didn't flinch or move. The older monk spun his staff and slammed it on the ground, opening a portal that would seal her youki if she gave up.
Ina rested her hand on the hilt of her sword, Tenryuuga, and her fangs grew longer and her eyes turned red with blue irises and green pupils. She raised her hand with her claws tense and ready to spill blood. The staff broke and the prayer beads fell apart. Ina returned to her senses immediately. She grunted and Ah-Un flew by her. She grabbed his saddle and pulled herself up with coordination between her and Ah-un, sitting side-saddle to be able to watch Jaken. Jaken was looking over Ina for wounds. “Are you alright, Milady?”
“Fine.” Ina was still trying to recover from the partial paralysis that the ordeal put her through. She looked at the green imp that had been her friend through her life. Her loyal servant, Jaken. She also looked at the ryu below her, her friend Ah-Un.
A very tall figure with a silver head and a much smaller figure with a black head that was squatting at a ningen grave were almost a few feet away. Sesshomaru and Rin. Jaken fell off and Ina gracefully dropped off Ah-Un's back and landed on her feet. Jaken's face was in the dirt. “Ah-Un has arrived...”
Sesshomaru started to walk away, Ina following and Rin and Jaken looking at them. Jaken pulled himself up onto his arms. “Milord! Where are you going?!” The staff hit him on his head.
“You should know, Jaken. I'm going to find Naraku,” Sesshomaru informed. Jaken got up. “M-may I come, Milord?”
Ina couldn't help it as a small smile tugged at her mouth. Rin tugged Jaken's arm and started running to follow Sesshomaru and Ina. She shouted, “Of course we can, Master Jaken!” Ina heard them catch up as Sesshomaru continued to walk. Jaken had a wide smile, Rin was laughing, Ah-Un was flying overhead, and Sesshomaru had a ghost of a smile on his face. Yes…This would remain forever.
