Kagome shoots her arrow and falls to the ground. It moved past his face, barely missing him, hitting the ground. "kagome!" miroku, sango, and shippo scream as they ran to her side. Inu Yasha runs inside to see kagome laying on the ground, pail and unconscious.

"Will she be ok?" inu yasha's voice shakes. Sango and shippo glare at inu yasha.

Miroku sighs. "She'll be alright." He picked her up and laid her on her sleeping bag, "she just needs some rest. She fought a hard battle just now. It can't be easy to fight somebody like kikyo." He pauses, then looked at inu yasha. "You know what that feels like don't you?"

"huh?' inu yasha looks at him confused, yet guilty. He had an idea of what the monk was talking about. Sango and shippo were now preparing to rip the half-breads head off.

"Just what do you think you were doing inu yasha, taking kikyo's side like that?" Shippo yelled.

"I wasn't taking her side. I was telling her goodbye." His voice softened.

It was now sango's turn to yell, for she knew better to believe what he had just said. "It didn't look like you were just saying goodbye!"

"Well I was!" inu yasha screamed back in his defense.

"Just what were you doing inu yasha?" miroku asked in a calm voice looking over kagome. Not even bothering no look at the half-bread.

"I told you I was saying goodbye!" he screamed even more fiercely.

Miroku stands up and walks to inu yasha. "You better sleep outside tonight" he was looking at he ground, his hand on inu yashas shoulder. He closed his eyes.

"Why?" Inu yasha's face softened. He started to tremble.

"Because kagome was able to see everything that was going on with you and kykio. If she were to wake in the night, I suspect you are not what she would want to see." Miroku walked over and sat down next to kagome, Sango and Shippo did the same. Inu Yasha turned and leaped out the door.

They don't know what they are talking about. Of course she'd want to see me…he flew threw the air…wouldn't she? He just ran as fast and he could, jumping into the sky, landing on a branch, and jumping to another.

In the hut miroku looks at sango with worried eyes. "I'm not sure what inu yasha was thinking" there was a long pause as he chose his words carefully. "Do you think that he wanted kikyo to keep kagome's soul so she could live with out collecting souls of maidens? She would be closer to living then."

"It sure seemed that way." She looked to shippo who was curled up in a sleep filled ball next to kagome. "miroku?" she looked up at him, meeting his gaze. "How did you know what was happening to kagome?"

He stared at kagome once again. "I woke to a strange presence entering the room. I tried to fight it off but it over came me. I was sent to this strange world. There was nothing but white. I walked for what seemed like days until kagome appeared in front of me. She was screaming. I tried to comfort her…but she..." his eyes glazed over "After a few moments, she stopped. I felt an enormous amount of energy form in her. Before I knew it she had pushed me away" He paused "I looked up to see her gaze caught on kikyo. The enormous energy left kagome's body and hit kikyo, sending her back"

"What happened to kikyo?" Shippo asked.

"I don't know, that's when I woke. The strange thing was that while I was there I was able to see what was going on here. I was able to see it in my mind…I knew everything that took place in this very room while I lay sleep" His voice softened. "That's how I know kagome was able to see inu yasha."

"Hey monk!" came a familiar voice, The three turned to see Kouga standing there with a happy little smirk on his face. "I picked up kagomes sent just thought I'd stop by and pay my woman a little visit."

Oh no! sango thought.

No one said anthing, just starred nervously. "What's the matter with you guys, its like you…" he looked to see kagome. She was pail and in a deep sleep. They could see as the anger grew inside of him. He was about to explode. "Where's the mutt face?" he growled. "I'll kill him this time for sure."

"He's not here." Miroky said calmly, he knew that there was no point in arguing… "Calm down, she'll be fine. She just needs some rest."

After struggling to keep kouga form rushing after inu yasha, they all sat around for an hour then drifted off to sleep, while inu yasha was on his way back. He stops dead in his tracks. That's kouga's sent, he thought, damn that mangy wolf. He took off in full force.

Kouga opened his eyes form his fake slumber as he slowly brought himself to kagome's side. He checked to make sure they were all sleeping. Slowly he picked her up "I wont allow that mutt to hurt you again kagome." He took off running… "I'll make you happy, after me, you wont even think about that flea bag again…" and they were gone in the night.
