Kagome lay on her bed in her own era, crying her eyes out, still torn apart by what Inuyasha had said. 'How could he!?'
"Kagome dear? can i come in?" her mother called from the other side of her bedroom door. Kagome looked up for just a slight moment and told her mother in a broken sob that she could come in.

Kagome's mother entered the room with a tray with toast and green tea with a burning inscence of violet.

"It will calm you down. Would you like some tea? It will help relax you so you can get some sleep."

Kagome started to calm down and sat up on her bed. Her mother sat next to her. "T-thanks mom. I'm glad I have you with me. If it wasn't for you and everyone but Inuyasha I don't know what i would do right now."

"Now come dear, it can't be all that bad. Why don't you explain it to me."

**FLASHBACK**

"Inuyasha I wanna have your baby!!!"

Inuyasha stood there bereffed and confused staring into her eyes for a moment. "What?!"

"I want us to take things to the next level. You and me feel the same way about each other, and we have known each other for a long time. You know I love you Inuyasha, and I know you'd make a great father, provider, and definately a great lover! Please Inuyasha I love you I want us to have a family together. One big happy family." She had the biggest smile on her face, and she seemed so happy.

Inuyasha just stared in her eyes for a moment before he blurted out: ".............. No." He turned and walked away.

** END FLASHBACK**

Just at the mention of the situation Kagome started crying her heart out agian.

"Oh Kagome, I understand how you feel. When i fell in love with your father, I did the same exact thing. And you know what he did?"

Kagome looked willingly to her mother hoping for some good advice, hoping for some glint or ray of hope for her love life. "What?"

"He did the same thing. He simply told me 'No,' Although he didn't quite walk off like that and leave me hanging."

"Mother!!!" Her shrill sobs started once again.

"Now now, I'm sorry. What happened was he held me when i was crying until i fell asleep. Than he drove me home. After that I hadn't heard from him for weeks. Than he showed up once more. He came to my door, pale and untidy. He had lost just as much sleep over it as I had, he told me that it was just a misunderstanding. -----"

"Than who's Sota and my father!?" Kagome burst out

"Please Kagome you interupted me." Kagome quietly apologized and wanted more of her story. "Well anyways, he told me it was just a misunderstanding, and that it wasn't the fact he didn't want to father my children or that he didn't love me, it was just the fact that he was scared, and wasn't ready to start a family at such a young age. He told me that he wanted to get in a settled career, with a steady flow of cash and a nice sturdy home. He wanted to be my provider and a good one at that before we started any kind of family. Your father was very responsible and worked hard for your happiness. He was a wonderful man."

"Well mother that's a lovely story but how is that supposed to help me with Inuyasha?"

"Well Kagome, I'm trying to tell you that, maybe Inuyasha's just not ready to start a family with you yet, maybe he wants to be sure that he can be prepared for it, and wants to make sure he can provide for you before he takes that great big, scary step. I have absolutely no doubt that he loves you very much, just be patient he'll come around sooner or later."

"Alright mom." Kagome sniffled. "Thanks alot."

"Oh anything for my little girl. Now drink your tea and get some sleep I'll call you down for dinner when it's ready dear."

"Thanks mom."

Kagome's mom smiled pleasantly and she turned and left Kagome to her tea and the soothing smell of violets. Soon she found herself in a calm peaceful slumber. She slept for hours, until she was subconciously awaken. BANG BANG BANG!!! "Kaogme!!" He called for her banging on her window. "Kagome!"
When she snaped up in her dream she also snapped up in real life, and found that Inuyasha was not at the door, instead it was her mother alerting her to a ready and waiting dinner. Kagome found her self short of breath and her heart pounding. She had no clue why. She went back to her groggy self and decided to change and head downstairs.

' I wonder if mom's right maybe it is just a little too early for Inuyasha. Maybe he wasn't rejecting me he just got scared.... Just maybe.'
