Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
And stars fill my dream
I'm a traveller of both time and space
To be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed

It was a warm spring afternoon in the Feudal Era. Bored with the usual dinner fare, Kagome had gone into the forest with Shippo to look for something special to add. They walked together, the rays of the sun occasionally playing on their faces and shoulders through the leaves of the trees. Occasionally they would stop to investigate something that looked interesting and possibly edible.
“Look over here Kagome!” said Shippo excitedly.
The kitsune had run over to the large roots of a tree that thrust out of the ground. He bent over the mushrooms that were growing in clusters there. They were grey, with long, thin caps and purple veins running through them.
“Are they edible?” said Kagome as she walked over to investigate, “And even more important, do they taste good?”
“Oh yes!” said Shippo, “I know these mushrooms, my family ate them all the time.”
“All right,” said Kagome, “let's fill my backpack and get back to the others before InuYasha gets impatient and comes looking for us.”
They quickly got to work, picking a goodly amount of the mushrooms and putting them in her mostly empty back pack. The afternoon was getting late, and satisfied with their find, they started back at a brisk pace.
“About time you got back,” InuYasha grumbled as they approached the camp.
They were camping for the night in an abandoned field that was covered in new, green, spring grasses. Sniffing curiously, InuYasha came walking up to Kagome and Shippo.
“So what did you get?” said InuYasha skeptically, “I smell mushrooms, is that all you got?”
“Hey, they are really good mushrooms,” said Shippo, offended. “I found them, but you don't have to eat them if you don't want to.”
“I didn't say I wouldn't eat them, brat.” InuYasha snapped peevishly, and crossed his arms, a snarl on his lips.
“Good,” said Kagome, “because I am going to make a nice salad with them and the greens I found yesterday.”
The three of them walked over to where Miroku and Sango were sitting. Sango was polishing Hiraikotsu, Kirara curled up sleeping by her side, while Miroku was adding more sticks to their fire. They looked up as the others arrived.
“Did you find anything?” asked Sango curiously.
“Sure did, thanks to Shippo,” said Kagome, ruffling the kitsunes hair and making him puff up with pride.
“Great,” said Miroku, “I'll put the meat on to cook.”
InuYasha had provided them with rabbit meat for dinner, and Miroku and Sango got to work skewering it on sticks and then putting them on the fire. Seating herself happily on the ground near them with Shippo at her side, Kagome took out the mushrooms, adding them to a large bowl she had brought from home. While they assembled the salad, InuYasha watched them, occasionally poking the fire with a stick.
The meal went off splendidly, and even InuYasha helped himself to large portions of the salad. Nothing was left when they were done. The sun was beginning to go down, and everyone got quiet, just staring into space.
Suddenly, Shippo leapt up and started screaming, his eyes wild. No one seemed to notice, except Kirara, who arched up, her fur raised and tails sticking straight out in surprise. Not looking at anyone, but his eyes darting everywhere at unseen threats, Shippo ran away full tilt, and into the forest. Kirara looked up at her mistress and rubbed against her arm, but got no response. Taking matters into her own paws, she decided to run after Shippo and make sure the kitsune was not in trouble.

Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace
Sounds caress my ear
And not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Ooh, baby, I been blind
Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin'
Oh, ooh yes, I been blind
Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin'
All I see turns to brown
As the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this razor line
Can I find, can I find where I've been

A strange feeling was coming over InuYasha, building in waves. It had him in its grip, as he gazed up at the sky. Voices started to whisper in his ears, but he could not understand what they were saying, and he flicked them back and forth uneasily. Yet he felt he knew what they were talking about, as the world began to change color. Everything went brown, and then the sun seemed to be burning the ground a bright gold. His eyes felt like they were filling up with sand, and slowly he sank to the ground on his back. The sky burst into flashes of color, and he was so absorbed he did not notice what was happening to him, and neither did anyone else. A dark haired, dark eyed, InuYasha sans dog ears, claws and fangs lay looking awestruck into the sky, as a distorted history of his life flashed before him on a back drop of a sky swirling in bright colors.
On the other side of the fire, Miroku began to shudder. It felt like the wind tunnel in his hand was pulsing and growing bigger. In horror, he stared down at his hand, and hallucinated that it was growing, larger and larger about to consume him. He gripped his wrist and began to moan.
A fit of uncontrollable giggles began to take over Kagome. She raised her hand to her mouth as she watched the trees change to bright day-glo colors and begin to sway and dance before her eyes. Happy faces appeared on their trunks, smiling and winking and inviting her to join in. Kagome laughed and pointed, squeals of uncontrollable laughter breaking out of her.
“Do you see that?” Kagome gasped at Sango.
The demon slayer had a big grin on her face, her eyes glassy. The whole world was pulsing in and out, bright colors before her eyes. It struck her as extremely funny, and she bent over and started to laugh.
“Come on, lets dance!” said Kagome, and staggered up and went over to Sango.
Kagome dragged the guffawing demon slayer to her feet and swung her around. They just barely missed the fire. Weaving and swaying, they danced out into the field. The world was a happy, loving place, and they danced with abandon, grabbing each others hands and spinning around.
“Be free,” said the trees, “take it all off!”
“The trees are talking!” said Kagome gleefully, “I want to do what they say, I want to be free!”
As she danced, swaying and twirling, Kagome began to take off her shoes, socks, and the rest of her clothes soon followed. This struck Sango as a great idea, and she joined her, shedding her clothes all over the field. They were quite a sight, but no one was watching them. Miroku had begun to scream in horror, staring at his hand, and InuYasha was still watching the figures in the sky; his mother, Sesshomaru, Kikyo, all flashing in and out and replaying scenes from his past, only not quite as he remembered them.
Hair flying and breasts bouncing, Kagome and Sango joined hands again, and began to spin each other around, laughing madly. Their trajectory took them back towards the campsite, but they paid no attention to where they were going. That is until Kagome bumped into the prone form of InuYasha, and fell across his lap bringing Sango down with her. The hanyou was not fazed, in fact he did not move at all.
“Aw, isn't he cute?” said Kagome, reaching out and stroking InuYashas gaping face.
“Mmm, yes,” said Sango, running her fingers through his hair.
Suddenly their ministrations became frenzied, as Kagome and Sango were suddenly overwhelmed with feelings of desire. The two young women started to pull and tug, and untie InuYashas clothes. His haori and hakama went flying, and still he made no move to acknowledge their presence. Finally they had his kosode off, and they murmured and purred as they began to press their breasts up against his naked chest and abs. Kagome began to lick him, starting at his hips, while Sango nibbled on his neck and human ears.
A tremor went through InuYasha, and the figures in the sky began to fade away. A pulse went through him once, twice…and he changed again. A roar started to build inside him as his eyes turned red, his hair silver, and purple stripes appeared on his face, arms and cock. In another moment the transformation was complete.
Youkai InuYasha picked up Kagome, who squealed in delight, and roaring with lust impaled her on his erection, driving her down hard. His long claws lightly raked her back, leaving red trails, but Kagome didn't seem to care. Sango clutched onto his side as he slammed a moaning and gasping Kagome up and down on his cock. The power of her desire for him combined with the overwhelming sexual need brought on by the mushrooms, had Kagome climaxing and screaming with abandon into the waning day. Each orgasm had explosions like huge, colorful fireworks go off under her closed eyes.
InuYasha howled and bucked up underneath Kagome as he came. But he wasn't finished yet. Pulling the trembling miko off him, he turned and reached for the demon slayer. He was still hard, and ready for round two. Sango slid across his body as he gripped her, and then he had lifted her by her waist and thrust her down on his still erect cock. When he noticed Kagome coming out of her sex stupor beside him, he turned and took one hand off Sangos waist while still ramming himself into the demon slayer, and grabbed her leg. Pulling her towards his head, he dragged her on to him until she was straddling his face. With a growl of hunger, he began to lick her bruised folds, and Kagome gasped and shuddered in pleasure. Working both women at once, he had them both climaxing, their shrieks of pleasure echoing around them. Then he growled deeply and came hard into Sango. Both women collapsed on top of him, but not for long.
Kagome and Sango only had a few moments to reel and shake from their orgasms, before InuYasha pulled them off him. But still, he wasn't finished. Sitting up he grabbed Kagome by the hips and flipped her over so she was on all fours. Pulling her hips back towards him, he entered her from behind. Leaning over her back and growling, he thrust his hips against her while pulling her back against him, and her hair and breasts moved jarringly from his speed. Kagome arched her back and her head came up as she screamed hoarsely from another orgasm.
Coming in Kagome again with a howl and a powerful thrust, he then released her and she collapsed on the ground. Then he reached for Sango, who had been lying on the ground next to them, and dragged her over. Quickly he flipped her over so she was straddling Kagome who lay prone on her stomach, shaking in the aftermath of their violent sex. Soon he was doing to Sango exactly what he did to Kagome, and Sangos breasts rubbed up against Kagomes back as he pumped into her mercilessly until Sango was moaning and then shrieking when her orgasm hit.
Finally the sexual frenzy Youkai InuYasha was in seemed to abate as he came for the last time in Sango. With a growl of rage, he pushed Sango off him and down, and she fell limply on top of Kagome. The Youkai possessed hanyou was seeing a swarm of youkai coming towards him, slavering for his blood - only they were not really there. Jumping up with a roar, he leaped and ran after the hallucinations, until he was gone.
The next morning, Kagome woke with a groan. She couldn't move and wondered why. Looking painfully over her shoulder, she saw Sango partially collapsed and sleeping across her back. What had happened? Her hair was a wild tangle across her face, and she realized she was naked and so was Sango. A panic was rising up inside her as she desperately tried to remember how they got this way.
“Sango,” Kagome whispered urgently, “wake up.”
Moaning, the demon slayer gripped her head and looked up at Kagome, and then blushed fiercely. Slowly she lifted herself off Kagome, and then stiffly lay down beside her.
“Do you remember what happened last night?” said Kagome in an ominous tone.
“Oh, my head,” groaned Sango, “I don't know what was real… and what was a dream.”
“Neither do I,” said Kagome, biting her lip and pink spots appearing on her cheeks.
When the girls went to move their legs, they heard a sticky sound and gasped, looking at each other wide eyed. They were bruised and throbbing between their legs, and there were light, red scratches on their bodies.
“What did you dream?” Kagome said with dread.
“I dreamed…oh my god.” Sango said in horror, bringing her hands to her mouth.
“I…I think I had the same dream,” said Kagome in a hushed voice.
“Kagome…look at us,” said Sango, her voice tinged with resignation, “it wasn't a dream.”
Pushing up off the ground, Sango frantically looked over Kagome to see who else was awake in the camp. A few yards away, Miroku lay on his back, unconscious. But she saw no sign of Shippo, Kirara and InuYasha.
“Before we do anything else, we have to find our clothes,” said Sango.
Agreeing heartily, Kagome followed Sango and they staggered out into the field, looking for their clothes. As they found them they put them on, glancing occasionally over to Miroku to make sure he had not woke up. When they were dressed they wearily walked back to the camp and sat down next to the embers of the fire.
“What do we do now?” Kagome whispered, looking solemnly over at Sango.
The demon slayer ran her hands through her hair, pushing it off her forehead.
“I think it is important to find Shippo and InuYasha,” said Sango, “we don't know what state they are in and what trouble they might have gotten into.”
“Do you think they know what happened to…us?” said Kagome in trepidation.
“Well, I'd rather find out what they remember before deciding to say anything,” said Sango, flushing.
“Yeah, you're right,” said Kagome with a sigh, clutching her hands tightly together in her lap.
A moan interrupted their conversation, and the two girls turned to see Miroku was rousing. They looked at each other a moment, and then got up and went over to him. They knelt on either side of him, as his head tossed back and forth, and then he opened his eyes.
“Are you all right?” said Sango, her brows pinched together in concern.
“Ohh…” Miroku moaned, and raised his hand to his brow. “What happened?”
With a start Miroku looked at his hand, his eyes wild, and saw that everything was normal. Sighing in relief, he let his head fall back to the ground.
“I thought…my hand,” said Miroku wonderingly.
“What do you remember?” said Kagome cautiously.
“My wind tunnel was growing,” said Miroku wearily, “it was about to consume me. It was…terrifying.”
“Is that all?” said Sango, trying to keep her voice even and not betray her nervousness.
“Yes,” said Miroku. “Where are Shippo, Kirara and InuYasha?”
“We don't know,” said Sango, “I think they ran off.”
“Must have been the mushrooms,” said Miroku, “I'm not going to eat anything Shippo recommends again.”
The monk levered himself up into a sitting position, and rubbed his face.
“We should go look for them,” said Kagome, “do you feel well enough to search?”
“I think so,” said Miroku, smiling ruefully.
“Let's split up,” said Sango, “why don't you look for Shippo, while Kagome and I look for InuYasha.”
“Do you have any idea which directions they went in?” said Miroku curiously.
Glancing at Kagome, Sango replied, “I think Kagome and I know which way InuYasha went.”
“Fine,” Miroku grated, as the three of them stiffly stood up.
As they walked away from the camp, Sango and Kagome made sure they went in a separate direction from Miroku. Then Kagome thought of something, and put her hand on Sangos arm to stop her.
“We should bring InuYasha his clothes,” she whispered, and Sango nodded.
When Miroku was safely away from them and had entered the forest, the two girls collected InuYashas clothes and then resumed their search. Luckily, InuYashas trail was not hard to find. All they had to do is look for recent destruction of the forest, and soon they were following a trial of felled trees and torn up undergrowth. Finally they spotted him, face down under a tree, his hair spread out like a fan over his back and his arms raised above his head. They were relieved to see he had reverted back to his hanyou form. Kneeling down, Kagome covered InuYasha with his kosode. As she drew away, he began to rouse.
“God damn,” he groaned, pulling his arms underneath him and pushing himself up, “I feel like a mountain sat on my head.”
InuYasha tried to think of what happened. A confusion of images played in his mind.
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like sorts inside a dream
Leave the path the led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
Like Shangri-la beneath the summer moon
I will return again
As the dust that floats finds you
Will move and search Kashmir
Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails
Cross the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah
And my feet wear my fickle way to stay
Ooh, yeah yeah, ooh, yeah yeah, but I'm down
Ooh, yeah yeah, ooh, yeah yeah, but I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby
Let me take you there
Come on, oh let me take you there
Let me take you there
Looking up into Sango and Kagomes solemn and worried faces, he blushed as he realized he was naked and pulled the kosode around him protectively.
“What's going on?” he said in angry confusion, “Why do you two have my clothes?”
Blushing and turning away, they shoved his haori and hakama at him. Flustered, he turned his back to them, stood up and began to get dressed. That's when he noticed the state of the area of his groin. His inner thighs and cock were sticky with…no, couldn't be. He turned pale and began to shake as he finished tying his hakama and then fell to his knees with a groan. Until this moment he had wanted to know what happened. But now he was terrified. He had absolutely no memory of the previous evening's events…
Heart beating loudly, InuYasha slowly turned to face Kagome and Sango. Their expressions gave him no solace. Something had happened that was so mind blowing he could not face it. But what would Kagome and Sango say to him?
“Are you well enough to make it back?” said Kagome softly, her eyes full of concern.
“Of course I am,” InuYasha snapped, and then felt badly about it when he saw how crestfallen she looked.
InuYasha stalked ahead of them, a bit unsteady at first, and Kagome and Sango fell in behind him. The two girls exchanged looks, and Kagome looked at Sango questioningly. Sango shrugged, sighed, and then took a deep breath. She had to ask.
“What do you remember about yesterday evening?” said Sango, trying to sound nonchalant and not spook the hanyou.
Her words made InuYasha stop suddenly in his tracks, swaying as a fierce blush came to his face which they could not see. Well, it couldn't hurt to tell him the little of what he did remember.
“I…had strange visions,” he said hesitantly as he started to walk again. “I saw strange images from my past…but they were not of what truly took place.”
“Is…that all you remember?” said Kagome.
“Yes!” InuYasha exploded, “That is all I god damned remember, don't ask me anymore!”
Not caring if they could keep up with him, InuYasha broke into a run and took off back to the camp. It came as a shock and disappointment to Sango and Kagome, and they did not call after him or even try to run themselves.
“Do you think he knows more than what he is telling us?” said Kagome.
“I can't be sure,” said Sango, “after all, he did turn into Youkai InuYasha. Combined with the mushrooms, he very well may not remember.”
“Yes, and maybe we should leave it this way for now,” said Kagome, “the truth may be too much for him to handle.”
They agreed that for now they would not press InuYasha any further. But both were feeling that this would have to be resolved, when the time was right. The whole incident needed closure, and until they got it they would never feel the same way around InuYasha again.
Back at the campsite, InuYasha sat by himself, his arms crossed and staring into the embers of the campfire. Out of the forest appeared Miroku, carrying Shippo and Kirara. The kitsune was a mess, sticks and leaves tangled in his hair and an exhausted look on his face.
“Where are Kagome and Sango?” said Miroku, gently putting Kirara and Shippo down.
“They're coming,” InuYasha grumped, not looking up when he spoke.
“Are you okay?” said Miroku.
“I'm just fine!” InuYasha spat defensively.
Instinctively Miroku could tell this wasn't true. He knew InuYasha too well to not recognize when something was amiss. There was obviously something really bothering him, but Miroku knew not to ask. In InuYashas current mood, he would get nothing from him. Only InuYasha could decide for himself if and when he would tell them anything.
A short time later, Kagome and Sango returned. They decided to break camp and continue on. Silently they went about their business. Shippo was still too out of it to help much, so they did not bother him. When it was time to leave, Kagome picked up the kitsune and they headed on their way.
The day wore on, and Kagome was feeling sore and achy. She longed to find a hot spring and soak for a while. Looking at Sango, she felt the demon slayer could use it too.
“InuYasha,” said Kagome, walking up to him, “do you think we can find a hot spring somewhere around here?”
“Maybe,” InuYasha grunted, “I'll see what I can find.”
The hanyou bounded off, and left the others to slowly make their way down the forest trail. He would be able to find them again, no problem.
It wasn't a very long time later when InuYasha returned and told them to follow him. By afternoon, he brought them to a small, rocky, hot spring behind a thick stand of trees. Gratefully Kagome and Sango smiled at him, and went down among the rocks to bathe. They left Miroku, InuYasha, Kirara and the sleeping kitsune safely on the other side of the dense trees.
Waiting was putting InuYasha on edge. It was eating at him to find out how much the girls remembered. Not that he really wanted to know himself, but he was afraid of what they may be thinking and feeling about him. He paced and then sat, shaking his leg in that way that annoyed Kagome so much. Now it was annoying Miroku.
“If you are so restless, why don't you take a walk, InuYasha,” said Miroku.
“Fine!” said InuYasha, and jumping up leaped away.
Leaping up into the trees, InuYasha went higher and then jumped from tree limb to tree limb. Soon he realized he could see the back of the girl's heads in the hot spring. His mind and body humming as taught as a wire, he gave into his need to know what they might be saying and got close enough to hear their whispers without being seen.
When InuYasha first set eyes on Kagome and Sango, he felt weakness and a sense of vertigo and dread. Their backs were covered in light red scratch marks, and as they kicked their legs in the water, he could see bruises on their thighs that looked like handprints. Oh, gods, no…
“It really wasn't his fault,” Sango was saying, “we started it and then he was under the effects of the mushrooms.”
“Yes, I know you are right,” said Kagome, “but I am still afraid for him if he ever figures out what happened.”
With an anguished scream, InuYasha fell from the tree, crashing through the branches and landing in a shuddering heap on the ground.
“Did you hear that?” said Sango to Kagome, her voice edged with panic.
“Yes, and I think I know who that was,” said Kagome, quickly getting out of the hot spring and wrapping a towel around herself.
The demon slayer followed Kagomes example, and they went to find out what had happened. Pushing aside some branches, they found InuYasha curled on the ground in a shaking ball, his arms clasping tightly to his legs and his head bent onto his knees. He was moaning in a way that terrified them.
“InuYasha?” said Kagome, reaching out to touch his shoulder.
“Don't touch me!” he sobbed loudly, “I'm despicable, disgusting, get away from me!”
“No you are not, InuYasha,” said Sango softly, “it was Youkai InuYasha, you had no control over yourself.”
“How can you stand to look at me after what I did to you?” InuYasha groaned.
“We aren't blaming you,” said Kagome, “in fact, I remember actually enjoying it.”
Blushing, Kagome looked at Sango, who also blushed.
“Yeah, I did as well,” said Sango quietly.
Looking up in wonder, InuYasha said, “But…the marks on your bodies.”
Sango shrugged, and smiled a little. “It's not the worst injuries we have received during our quest.”
“Yeah, and we had a lot more fun getting these,” said Kagome and smiled ruefully, but her eyes were twinkling.
In astonishment InuYasha listened as the girls began to softly laugh, and then he was blushing furiously.
“How much does Miroku know?” said InuYasha.
“Nothing,” said Kagome.
“And it will stay that way.” Sango added.
Slowly they coaxed InuYasha to stand up, and then they went and got dressed, making him swear to wait for them. They did not want the fragile peace of mind they had given to him to be broken. When they returned, they followed behind him as they walked to the others.
“Say, Sango,” said Kagome.
“Yes?” Sango replied.
“Keep an eye out for those mushrooms.”
“What ever for?” said Sango wonderingly.
“We can use them when we want Youkai InuYasha to come out and play with us,” said Kagome, laughing.
Both girls started to laugh merrily, and InuYasha groaned, blushing and dying of embarrassment.
`Gods, how will I ever live this down…' he thought.
The air was cleared, and things returned to almost normal. But sometimes InuYasha would catch Kagome and Sango looking at him, and had to wonder if they were going to spike his food. Well, maybe he would enjoy it, if he could only remember it…
The End
