Chapter 7: Hiei going to school?

Kagome POV

After the encounter with Yusuke yesterday, I was glad that since now im attending the same school with them I would be able to get them to help mi with my works, and I can now confide in them regarding the federal ages matters. That does take the load off my shoulders. Changing into the blue uniform with skirts longer than the previous one, I set off for school.

`I wonder why Hiei dun go to school with the rest, consider the fact that they are a team?'

^Why dun you persuade him to attend? It would be fun! ^

Oh yeah, im getting used to Kimiko voicing out her views now. Even though she can get pretty annoying.

^HEY! Who u calling annoying. Wanna try getting stuck here for so long and finally you are able to hear mi… its *sniff * hard you know…* sniff * lonely for so long and finally* sniff * able to talk to you…and you say im *sniff * annoying…boo hoo hoo…^

I could feel myself rolling my eyes. What a Great way to start a day.

^So… you going to get him to school? ^

`What for?'

^It will be FUN! Guaranteed! ^

`Guaranteed by who?'

^ By MI of course ^ I can feel her bunny hop around.

`I DUN EVEN want to know'

^ YOU can't stop mi! You are basically losing the control of this body as we speak. ^

`I know… ill try to get him to school' I could feel myself smiling at the various ways to `play' with him at school.

`Oh GREAT, that definitely is NOT my thinking!'

^ It sure isn't, here he comes. ^

Back to reality~~~~~~~

Kagome was already half way to school during the internal interaction with Kimiko. She stopped to look at the tree that Hiei was currently standing on.

"Hiei, can you come down here?" kagome said and smiled brightly at him.

Hiei could feel a leapt in his heart before he jumps down.

"Hn"

Kagome just continue her walk with a knowing smile.

"So… why aren't you attending school?" glancing sideways at him.

"Hn, only humans attend there."

"I thought you know as well as I do that im not a human? And neither are your friends?" amethyst matched ruby as a sweet melodious voice spoke through kagome.

And just as quickly as it came it disappeared to blue again. Hiei did not even notice that he had stopped walking until Kagome tapped him on his shoulder.

"What's wrong?" her voice returning to normal.

" Hn, your eyes changed color again"

"Really? Oh never mind about that. So you coming to school with mi?"

"Ya."

"You promise you will always go to school with mi?" she asked sweetly.

"Ya, I promise" Hiei could not help but say that.

"GREAT! Lets see whether we will get the same schedule" she grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the school. Hearing that Hiei jerked his arm back and Kagome came tumbling on to him.

"What is it?" asked kagome who was straddling him, and face inches away from his.

Hiei could feel his heart thumping faster and faster, he thought he would lose himself but Kagome stood up from their current position and helped him to his feet.

"What is it?" she inquired concernly.

"Hn, I didn't say I was going to school with you."

"But you PROMISED" she pouted.

"I only said walking you to the school"

"No, you did not! You said you will go to school with mi!" she pouted even more.

Hiei POV

God, how I want to kiss those lips.

{Then go ahead; tell her it is an exchange to get you to school}

I will NOT stoop to that level.

{Suit yrself. At this rate dun even know you get to kiss her cheeks a not?}

Kagome POV

I knew im going to get to him.

"PLEASE Hiei, come to school with mi. I promise it will be fun!" I pouted some more and gave him the puppy look that I learnt from Shippo.

"Hn… fine"

"YEAH, thanks! You are the best!" I jumped and hugged him; I think I shocked him when I gave him a peck on the cheeks. He stood there rooted to the ground, and I had to drag him to school.

He returned to normal when we reached school.

Back to the school~~~~~~~~

Kagome held Hiei's hand and led him to the office to get their schedule. The secretary looked disapprovingly at Hiei's clothes, but dismissed due to his cold stare towards her. Surprising they both got the same timetable. The secretary called in a student to show them around, the student name is Keiko. She was surprised to see Hiei in school.

During the walk to their classroom~~~~~~~

"Hiei, do you think that Yus Kun attended school today?"

"Hn"

"And that would be…"

"Yes"

"Good! I really miss him very much. And now I can be with him again."

"Hn"

"And that would mean…"

"…Good for you"

"Yeah, thanks!" she said and happily latched herself onto Hiei's shoulder. Hiei was trying very hard not to blush but to no avail for having Kagome so close to him and her scent was driving his senses mad. She smells so heavenly, so sweet.

Keiko was having second thoughts that this was the same cold- hearted Hiei that she knew. She stopped in front of a classroom and showed them in.

What do you know, all the yu yu gang was in this class? (Yeah, I made Kurama the same age as them)

They stared unbelievably that Hiei was in class standing besides Kagome. Hiei just stared back at them and hned.

The rest of the class was heard to be talking about how beautiful and handsome the new students were.

The teacher cleared his throat and asked them to introduce themselves.

"Im kagome higurashi and this is Hiei, he doesn't talks much." Chirped Kagome cheerfully.

"Ok, class any questions?"

"Ya. Are you free to take?"

"Ya, im free so is Hiei."

"Great" Hiei glared at the boy who made the comment, the temperature in the class rose as the class erupted into murmurs about getting them as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Kagome placed her hand on his arm, and he instantly relaxed. While they walked to their seats, Kagome gave Yusuke a hug and a kiss on his cheek. Making him turn pink. The class was immediately silenced as they saw this. Murmurs spread like wildfire about how the new girl got her eyes on Yusuke and how Yusuke seems to accept her.

Kagome took a seat behind Kurama, and Hiei sat besides her, behind Yusuke. Kagome could feel eyes boring through her, but dismissed it as they belonged to those girls behind at the back of the class. Lessons resumed. After every class, kagome had to hold onto Hiei's hands to get him to the next class.

Classes after classes, and now lunch~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`

The Yu Yu gang and kagome was at the school rooftop.

"I can't believe we got the same schedule, accept math which I have with Yus Kun and Kuwabara. And Hiei of course."

"Its great to have you with us, but I think what we are most curious is to why Hiei is here?" Kurama asked.

"Yeah, why is shrimp here?"

In a split second, he was punched unconscious by Hiei.

"Hiei, dun forget he's only human!" kagome cried while drawing on kuwabara's face with a marker. " You shouldn't be mean to him."

"Hn, and you are being nice to him?"

"Hmm…oh this… this is a form of entertainment." She said as she looked up from her masterpiece.

"Well, what do you think?"

"Hn, nice."

The rest were staring at them with confused look except Kurama. He was staring at them with jealousy, or in Youko terms, anger.

# What the heck happened? How did they get so close? It's only been a night! #

[Hiei such looks happy]

# Well, im NOT and are you going to DO something? #

`Ill ask if you control yourself.'

# You better clear THIS up before murder occurs. #

Kurama POV

"So how did you get Hiei to come to school?"

"Oh, well I met him on the way to school and he PROMISED to come to school with mi everyday."

"Hn, I did not. You tricked mi."

"And you fell for it. And im real happy you are here with mi as a new student."

"So… how did you trick him? He's not that easy to fool you know." Yusuke piped in.

"I did not trick him into coming, I tricked him to promise to come with mi to school everyday."

It took quite a while for them to register what she said. And they agreed she's good.

"Your skills sure have grown."

"What cha mean, Yus kun?"

" Sly as a fox, maybe slyer than a certain fox I noe…"

"Hmm, you know another fox? Who is it?" she questioned while latching onto his neck. For those who know not of them as cousins, would think that they are a couple being sweet.

"Well, the fox is…" he was interrupted when the door to the roof banged open and Keiko shooting daggers at him. She threw a bag towards them which Yusuke caught before it could hit Kagome. With that display of protectiveness, Keiko stormed down the stairs, and disappeared through the hallway, a sad aura surrounding her.

" What was that about, Yus kun?"

"Keiko… she's my girlfriend. She must be mad seeing mi with you…"

" Why's that? We are only cousins"

"She doesn't know, kagome Chan" Botan said

"Oh… your right! Yus kun you should go after her to explain" with that she shoved him towards the door.

"So… who is the fox?" she asked as she turned to Hiei to get him to class.

"Im the fox." I replied.

"Hmm. The spirit of a silver kitsune sharing a body with a ningen. How interesting." I was greeted by a sweet melodious yet seducing voice. I turned around and saw amethyst eyes looking into my emerald ones. They drew my breath away. And then, the next moment the blue eyes returned.

"Oh, that's nice. Is that the reason you are neither youkai nor ningen?" a normal kagome asked.

I could not find my voice so I nodded my head.

"Okay! Come on Hiei let's go!" she said as she dragged Hiei to class, the whole way holding his hand. I could feel myself suppressing a growl.

I could feel Hiei's frustration to enter a ningen's school but at the same time, a pleasant feeling from him when he was dragged by kagome and when he sat beside her during classes.

Botan's POV

I got to tell Koenma, Hiei actually letting someone touch him and let live. And Kagome practically dragged him anywhere. If I not know better, Ill say he enjoys it. That Kagome girl is so easy to get along. Kind and all. I made fast friends with her. Hey, why is Kurama growling?

Turned to look at Kagome teaching Hiei how to use a pencil before it went up into ashes.

Could it be that Kurama likes this girl? This is going to be fun to match make.

*Giggled *

The whole class turned to look at mi; I just shrugged and dared them to say anything. The lesson resumed.

After school~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yusuke POV

Finally after school. Where's Keiko? Oh I see her and is that… KAGOME!!! What does she thinks she's doing. I haven explain to her yet. Keiko would slap her.

I made my way to them, and almost fainted when they started laughing. I tried to listen to their conversation.

"I can't believe you are his cousin!"

" Ya and I totally can't believe he has a girlfriend, how can you take it?"

"I can tell you, its not easy."

Then they started to laugh again.

Suddenly, Keiko swung a bag at mi.

" Yusuke, how could you not tell mi about your cousin. And I was getting angry at your wonderful cousin for no reasons at all!"

"…Wonderful" I choked out and looked at Kag.

She flashed mi a smile and continued talking with Keiko and now Botan.

Kagome POV

It's so funny to see a girl beat up Yus Kun. All the people are so nice. I think I like it here.

^ Ya with Hiei here, it sure is fun! ^

`Well, let mi enjoy the last few moments of my life, you can have yours back soon.'

^ You bet. Enjoy while you can! ^

Now where is Hiei? He disappeared after the bell, oh well.

"Hey wanna go to the mall tomorrow?"

"Sure! I got a few days till I return to federal age.

"You still going back after what that mutt says to you?"

"Ya. No matter what he says the jewel is still my responsibilities."

"Fine but im going with you the next time."

"Dun you have a job?"

"Ya well, you are my cousin. You come first then the others."

"That's sweet, but I think Keiko is getting jealous." I hugged him.

"WHAT!!" exclaimed both Keiko and Yusuke? It was so fun to tease them.

"So ill see you at the mall tomorrow, bye." And with that I started to climb the steps up to the shrine.
