"What will you do now Inuyasha? Kill me?" asked Kikyo.

Inuyasha sighed knowing what he must do. He looked at Kikyo with great sadness.

"Kikyo what's happened to you? What happened to the woman I once loved? What has been so bad that you've lost all goodness in your heart? I want you to be happy. I don't think that will happen in this lifetime. I'm going to lay you to rest. Good bye my love but worry not I have learned to love again."

With this last thing said Inuyasha raised his claws and brought them down across the dead miko's chest. There was no blood. Kikyo only had time to utter one thing before her body turned to dust and she returned to hell.

"Kagome will die," she whispered as her last breath left her and she turned to dust.
