As Inuyasha neared Kaede's hut he began to grow more worried by the minute. Kagome had not stirred. When he finally reached the hut he was almost in a panic. With out even bothering to knock the worried hanyou burst in to the hut. The old woman on the floor was startled but quickly calmed when she saw who it was, but when her eye lit on Kagome she grew worried.

"Inuyasha, what have ye done to the girl?" asked the old woman with a scowl. As quickly as she could the old woman raised her self off the floor.

"I didn't do anything, Kagome climbed out of the well saying that she hurt then she passed out. So do something to help her!" Inuyasha was growing more frustrated and worried by the moment. As gently as he could Inuyasha lowered the girl in his arms to a pallet on the floor. Once he was sure she was settled he retreated to a corner of the room. Kaede began bustling around the room gathering different types of herbs.

"Inuyasha you will have to leave to room. I need-" Kaede was cut off by the arrival of Miroku and Sango. When Sango saw the state of her friend she quickly made Miroku turn and leave, but not before giving him strict instructions on keeping Shippo away. Inuyasha would not leave and Sango ended up throwing him bodily out the door. Once the males were out of the room Sango turned to Kaede and asked what she could do. The two women worked side by side for hours.

~Outside~

Inuyasha was growing more impatient and more worried by the hour. Not knowing what to do he began pacing. Miroku sat calmly under a tree watching the distressed hanyou. Inuyasha glanced at the monk seated beneath the tree and decided he would like to talk. Miroku was very surprised when Inuyasha stopped pacing and began to approach him. Sitting in front of him crossed legged Inuyasha wondered where to begin.

"Miroku, do you love Sango?" Inuyasha asked looking Miroku right in the eye. Miroku was so surprised by the bluntness of the question he nodded. Seeing this as a sign to continue Inuyasha took a deep breath. "What would you do if you lost her? What would you do if it was your fault she died?" Miroku was surprised by the hanyou's willingness to talk and decided to take advantage of the moment.

"I would be heartbroken. If I were the cause of her death I don't think I could forgive myself. Inuyasha, why do you ask these questions?" Miroku was growing worried about his friend. Inuyasha was saved from answering when Sango stepped out the door and called to them. Quickly forgetting the conversation, Inuyasha leapt to his feet and ran to the hut what he saw did not please him.

Kaede was bent over the girl looking at something. Kagome's shirt was pushed off her stomach and she was still ashen. When Inuyasha drew closer he saw four angry red marks slightly raised on Kagome's tummy. Inuyasha was shocked because that was where he had slashed Kikyo. Inuyasha was pulled form his thoughts when Kaede spoke.

"Inuyasha, where is my sister?" as she asked her question she brought her eyes to meet his.

"She is dead. I killed her," he answered with no shame, no regret.

"Where was Kagome when ye killed my sister?" Kaede asked with an unwavering stare.

"She was in her time. What does this have to do with anything you old hag? What's wrong with Kagome? Can she be cured? Tell me who did this to her and I'll rip his head off!" as Inuyasha finished his sentence his eyes flash red before returning to the normal color. Shaking her head Kaede began to explain.

"Kagome needed to be in this time to reclaim her soul. Since she was not present her soul had to come up with a way to let her know. So her soul inflicted pain on her. In order for her to live you must take her to the spot where Kikyo died and wait for her soul to come," Inuyasha had been listening carefully and when Kaede finished he nodded and took Kagome into his arms. Once she was safe he took off to the spot where Kikyo died.

Once in the clearing, Inuyasha set Kagome on the spot Kikyo stood moments before she died. Putting his outer robe under her head as a pillow he was sure she was comfy. Next he walked a short distance away and sat beneath a tree to wait.

The two did not have to wait long before Inuyasha saw a silver light drift in their direction. The silver light was lined in lined in pink so he knew it belonged to Kagome. Not knowing what to do Inuyasha decided to stay where he was and let the light do what was needed. The light hovered over Kagome a few moments before finally settling on her chest. After a second it desolved its self into the young girl. Kagome glowed a few seconds as the last piece of her soul sought its place within her. When the glowing stopped Inuyasha walked over to where Kagome laid. Looking down at Kagome he noticed a change. Kneeling down to get a closer look what he saw shocked him.
