Kagome asks for someone's help to find out Inuyasha's true feelings. She asks the only person she can -Kikyo- so they come up with a plan- after Kagome learns how to fight. Things don't go according to plan, Inuyasha must choose, Kikyo or Kagome to save, if he doesn't he looses them both.

Kikyo is killed, but no Kikyo bashing. Sorry, for Kikyo bashing look up another story.

Kagome did a spinning back kick and the mat she had been hitting broke.

"Sorry about that."

"It's ok it means you are getting more skilled. It also means you need to learn how to control your power."

"I know I need help. I came here for that."

"I think we should move on to another technique. This one will be like blocking objects… with a little difference."

"What difference, teacher?" Kagome asked.

"You'll see." She said. A thought ran through Kagome's Teacher's mind History will change I will make sure of that little miko.

Kikyo was Kagome's teacher, in Kagome's time. Kikyo was never brought back to life in a real body so she never aged; in Kagome's time she became a teacher of skills like fighting and defense. She needed to change Kagome's history and in turn her own. She knew Kagome would come to her, of course she made sure Kagome never knew who she really was. Kikyo changed a lot about herself, to show who she really was and to make sure Kagome didn't recognize her.

Kikyo notched her arrow and turned towards Kagome. Kagome didn't even seemed to be scared it was as if Kikyo was doing nothing out of the ordinary, which, to Kagome she wasn't this was how she trained when blocking objects, with arrows.

She placed her feet firmly on the ground and moved her hands up ready for any way the arrow would come. Kikyo aimed it at Kagome's chest.

"Ready?" Kikyo asked her reincarnation. A few strands of her short hair came loose from its ponytail, but she ignored it.

"As much as I'll ever be." She replied taking a deep breath, calming herself.

Kikyo shot the arrow and Kagome trying to block it with her right hand forward and her left near her chest if by some miracle she missed the arrow. The arrow, had it been a normally arrow Kagome would have caught, seeing as it was an enchanted arrow it went right through her hand. Her eyes widened and her left hand glowed as she caught the arrow.

"What was that?" Kagome yelled throwing the arrow on the ground.

"You must learn how to use your miko strength as well as your physical strength." Kikyo replied to her calmly.

Kagome stared at her teacher." And if I had not learned quickly enough?" she asked her face turned towards the arrow. Like the one Inuyasha was pinned to the God Tree to. She remembered that day well, that day was almost a year behind and they still had to defeat Naraku. She dreaded the day she knew that she loved Inuyasha, but Inuyasha feelings still weren't clear. Even if he loved her where would she live in her time or the Feudal Ages? All those questions were going to have to be answered and soon she couldn't wait forever. She knew that much.

"Your powers are advancing they know when danger is near and react to it according… of course counting in your conscience… and in some situations… your heart."

She froze. Her powers acted own their own but still counted in what she would count in. At least she would never be able to kill Inuyasha. Unless you have to a voice in her head said, she knew that then her heart's desire couldn't matter.

"You need more help than I can give you with as little time you come in for lessons."

"I know but I can't come in any more." Kagome said.

"There must be someone else."

"No one."

"No one with any resembles to your powers."

Kagome thought for a bit and Kikyo popped into her head. "One person… but they don't like me that much."

"Why?"

"A lot of reasons, one of them I think is because I love the person they `love' and now that person is confused about how he feels."

"Ask this person to help you find out how he feels."

Kagome looked at her. "How?"

"Is he the hero type?"

"Yes." She said thinking about every time Inuyasha had saved her.

"Set up a situation where he has to save one or the other?"

What if he can't decide?" He never can

"Make it so that if he doesn't decide he'll lose you both."

"If he saves us both?"

"Make it so he has to choose only one."

"You don't know him, he'd find a way to save us both." He's done it before.

"Not if you do it right, you just have to know how to set it up."

"OK I'll try, thanks teacher. I'll see you later." She looked at her watch and knew Inuyasha would kill her when she got back if she didn't hurry.

Kikyo waved at Kagome as she ran out the door going to her house.

"If this works no you won't see me again." She looked at the jewel she had hidden away behind a field of magic so Kagome couldn't sense it. The jewel that only brought despair. No one had ever made a wish on it. No one could bear to ask for anything. Kikyo was the only one who could take care of it after the battle with Naraku, which Kagome knew nothing about; there weren't many people to look after the jewel. When the jewel was whole Inuyasha wanted to throw as far as he could. Kikyo had kept it and soon she knew the she wouldn't have to. If everything went like it was suppose to. She knew that the jewel wouldn't be her problem; she knew the jewel would be gone and out of her life.
